The location is perfect for a solo traveler - the hotel is on the beach and is surrounded by other hotels, restaurants and tourist villas. One is not disturbed by the locals and beach sellers. The few I encountered were friendly and non invasive. I booked a standard room but to my surprise i was upgraded to a delux very spacious room on the top floor with the fantastic panoramic view over the ocean. The restaurant has a good variety of food and fruit. The greatest asset of this property is its staff - everyone is friendly and helpful and willing to do a little extra for the customer. I have stayed at several hotels in Sri Lanka however only at Pandanus I felt this warm hospitality from the staff, expecially Chathu, Sankaja,Dilip, Malitha, Dinusha and the cleaning boy whose name I do not know who always surprised me with something extra!

the property could use a bit of maintenance and renovation (wall sockets, beach chairs etc) however these things are not disturbing in any way and all the shortcomings are well compensated by the staff

I had a wonderful time with Pandanus. This is my second visit. As before, I was treated excellently. Especially Pasindu, he is very kind and helpful, and provided excellent service. Thanks to his colleagues Fowsan, Sara, Chathu, Ajith, Poojani, Susa, Dana, Upul, Kumara and Chanchala they did great job, Thank you all of you. I will come back

Lovely place to stay, the beach is nice and the staff are very friendly, the rooms are well equipped and the balcony is a nice addition. The swimming pool and loungers are lovely.

The food at the hotel is a bit pricey and there its an hour to Galle, so to get out of the resort you need to book a Grab

The location right on the beach was amazing! The view from the delux rooms just stunning! The room service from our room boy Asela was amazing, his towel creations each day made us feel special, and some of them funny and gave us a laugh, and his attitude and people skills were exemplary ! Such a kind and gentle beautiful soul. Thank you Asela. All reception staff were lovely, could not fault any of the staff!

The only thing we were not sure on at times was the food, we just feel this is the one area that could be improved, such as taking care that meals are served hot, on one occasion we had to return food served as the food was cold, the breakfast was ok, plenty of variety.

The superior rooms were beautiful. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is nice although sea was rough due to monsoon season but to make up for it the pool was great.it was also nice that they had something on most nights but they could tell guests at checkin what is on so guests can join the shows/activities. The free massage was also wonderful.

The lifts had a strange damp smell they should do something about.
