We had a delightful one-night stay at Arcade Beach Hotel during our trip to Sri Lanka, and it was an unforgettable experience. Though a small place, the hotel offers an incredibly cozy and peaceful atmosphere. The best part? The beach is just a short walk away, giving the feeling of having a private seaside retreat all to yourself. A special appreciation goes to Ms. Shashi, our host, who made our stay truly comfortable. From the moment of booking, she maintained great communication, ensuring everything was ready for our arrival. Upon check-in, she personally guided us to the rooms, took note of our breakfast preferences, and made thoughtful arrangements so we could enjoy the morning meal while overlooking the sea. Her kindness and attention to detail created a warm and welcoming experience. If u want long sandy empty beach, have breakfast on the beach, jums to ocean from your bedroom, spend days under the palms, have home made breakfast and meals just behind the fence, spend peacefull days away from busy crowdy places- its right place to stay as long and short term. A/C and fan, im some rooms litle fridge wifi well working, not many visitors so u can have lot of private space around, late check out, even after u can spend time in the area, not far some shops, fruits shops, many restaurants, sandy clean, long beach, without rocks or stones, ocean not so deep. Amazing host. Dont forget bring some gifts for her little daughter.

Small 3-room property run by a lovely family directly on the waterfront, and boasting a small garden and beach loungers. We had the ground floor room, which had all the basics: mosquito net, working AC, a newly installed ceiling fan, and a clean bathroom (without hot water). Shashi is very attentive to her guests and prepares great breakfast every morning - she even gave us a ride one of the days. You can hear the waves from the bed. Amazing place to relax for a couple of nights, and a welcome break from the "resorty" vibe one can find in the area.

A fridge in the room would be a nice addition.

I absolutely loved this small hotel! It’s simple, but its location right by the beach makes it truly special. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying the ocean view was amazing. The atmosphere was peaceful, and our host Sashi was so friendly and welcoming. Every day, we were treated to a different delicious breakfast, which made our stay even more special. Plus, we could always count on Sashi for help—such a kind and attentive person! This hotel is a true hidden gem by the beach. Highly recommended! :)

The hostess is a very nice and pleasant lady. We were here for several days and the breakfasts were a little different each time, beautifully arranged. No stereotype. We had breakfast in the garden overlooking the sea. Across the road is a shop stocked with everything. Swimming is better in the bay to the left of the accommodation, about 1 km, from the Wasana beach hotel. There are not as big waves as along the coast. I recommend Ayurvedic massage & Shirodhara

A wonderful family: mum, dad, a sweet daughter who helped mom decorate the breakfast table and a gorgeous grandfather. The hostess is always ready to help. We bought shrimps in Bentota and the hostess cooked them for us. There was a lot of delicious food for breakfast: always local fruits and coconut dishes. Sometimes breakfast was accompanied by interesting stories of local dishes Rooms. Some have air conditioning, some have sea views. The beach is excellent: 5 km in one direction, 5 km in the other. Endless ocean walks. Thank you to your family❤

Shashi and his wife take care of guests very much! We had pick-up from airport during night and came straight to paradise! Located right on the beach, very calm place with good basic AC room. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Amazing different and very delicious breakfast served individually with ocean view. Shashis wife told us many interesting things about Sri Lanka-its culture/food/traditions. Organized tour to Turtles farm. Very helpful and welcoming family!! Beautiful long beach with turtles putting its eggs at night. We enjoyed relaxed atmosphere there-swimming, suntanning, eating and just enjoying the moment! Definetely will come back!! Thank you!!

We are happy we found this little hotel located directy at the beach. The owner/staff was so nice, we felt absolutely well from the beginning. She was very mindful and friendly during our whole stay, e.g brought us a fresh juice to the beach, helped us to find coconut honey in the shop next to it and offered us to check out later. The selfmade breakfast was very delicious. We would come back again, 100% recommended!

Breakfast served in front of the beach was very very good and abundant. Both owners are really kind, caring and helpful with everything. They even help us find someone to fix the car. Highly recommended

Facilities in the room are quite dated and the room can get quite warm due to concrete made material. I study natural architecture and I would definitely suggest a lime wash paint to help regulate the humidity. Unfortunately cement/concrete is being extensively used and it is a very unsustainable material both for environment and humans.

We had two beautiful nights at Arcade Beach Hotel. The direct access to the beach is unbeatable. Very quiet beach and it was practically for us alone! Very beautiful. Shashi made us a very tasty traditional breakfast with this beach view. In general, we have to say that we felt very comfortable with Shashi. She is a super attentive, helpful and friendly hostess! We had a simply furnished room but had everything we needed (towels, mosquito net, fridge, etc.) and a room with a directly view to the sea! It was the perfect start for our round trip.
