one of the best and attractive hotels for the price range in wadduwa area. very clean and nicely arranged furnitures using maximum out of the available space. rooms (Triple and double rooms are bit smaller but looks spacious due to attic type arrangement for the bed). all the rooms have sea view due to hotel architectural design. very good and helpful staff who work hard to give their best for the residents. Dinner and breakfast buffets are very tasty and wider varieties to select. swimming pool is large and clean with adequate supporting staff.

beach is just beyond the fence at the back of the hotels. you could see and smell the sea but will not be able to use the beach. there are gates to reach the beach but are always close possibly due to tough sea waves.

Very nice stay at Tangerine Beach Hotel. As I was here during low season, so there were not many people and I was able to relax. - Super kind staff, very helpful, very accommodating to my requests. I had requested a room on the other side of the hotel and they managed my move. - Most rooms look over the sea, so nice waking up with sound of waves. - Also breakfast is very abundant. Lot’s of choice for everyone. And the restaurant by the pool serves really good food! - Large pool, good gym with proper equipment, game room, etc. would definitely recommend staying here.

The first room I got was close to the bar and during live music nights, I couldn’t relax. (Music was only until 10-11pm, so that was ok.) The Tuk Tuks in front of the hotel can be quite aggressive in selling. Not the hotel’s fault, but other Tuk Tuks don’t come close to the hotel because of that.

My sister and I recently stayed at Tangerine Beach Hotel in Kalutara and had a wonderful experience. The beachfront location is beautiful and peaceful and was perfect for relaxing. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the room was clean, spacious, and had a great view of the ocean. The food was delicious, with a good mix of Sri Lankan and international dishes. The gardens and pool area were lovely and well-kept. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We’d happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a calm beach getaway in Sri Lanka.

The pool was lovely and it was huge. There was a lot of space to move around even if you want to stick to the shallow side. The breakfast buffet was amazing. It had so much variety; from local to international food. There was also the live kitchen where they made fresh fluffy pancakes, dosa, omelettes, hoppers, etc. The hotel itself was enormous and if you had nothing to do you could explore. From what I heard there were tennis courts and pool to play but I wasn't able to go there.

There was no tissue and that is usually needed as people get sick after a day at the beach. The pool's towel is also old and faded but otherwise we have no other complaints.

Truly comfortable and clean large room and bathroom. Tea, coffee, toiletries supplied. Super large, clean pool and lovely helpful pool attendents. Breakfast buffet was immense and tasty, waiters at hand. Coffee shop staff was fabulous, delicious food. The best was we could ask for the food according to our taste. Truly reccomendable

Unfortunatly there's no beach though the Sea Is Just beyond the fence of the hotel. It's not the fault of the hotel , the government has diverted a River in order to avoid flooding in the streets. Anyways the pool Is most gratifying with the Sea breeze.

As usual the Management of TBH have not failed to make our 2 nights / 3 days over 18th / 20th August stay a truly memorable one. Starting off with GRO Nishadi, assisted by Fathima and the complete front office and concierge and housekeeping team. The restaurant staff along with Mr. Bungasajaya ensured that as we were many times over returning guests to have all suitable arrangements within the restaurant limits. Have to state that the service in general to all guests was of par excellence. Much looking forward to yet another such memorable future as well.

Advertising- We thought it was nicer in person than appeared on the first photos on booking.com, but if you scroll through you can see the nice facilities offered Gym- has a bench, barbell, dumbbells and, cardio equipment and a few pulleys. Basic but able to do a full workout, air conned, not busy Beach- rocky and rough waves, lovely backdrop and sounds. more sandy beach is short walk just outside hotel, we had a baby and didn't venture this far. View- overlooking sea with sunsets and palm trees. Fencing could be updated to be more decorative. Lovely water display in lobby, comparable to the sea view. Make sitting in the bar very nice Security- very secure and friendly Staff- always smiling, typical great Sri Lanka hospitality Food- great choice of western/eastern dishes. Two cafes with separate menus down by pool and buffet in restraunt. Entertaimment- we didn't use mich but could see they had available. Had live music in the evenings at the bar and offered sports and activities Cleanliness - very clean, some tiny tiny little insect in room but this seems to be all over the country, partly expected due to the climate. Good air con Price-it was a very affordable price and comparable to expensive 5 star hotels we have stayed in previously. Cheaper than similar hotels.

Bedding was comfortable, room tv was ok. Had complimentary food and sweets. Staff friendly and polite. Decent Toilets and toiletries provided.

I had requested for 1 large double bed but was given two small beds put together. When I informed the reception of this mistake, they asked me whether it will be ok if they put one sheet and redo the two beds as one. However, due to too much hassle I declined, and we managed with the two beds, but it was not big issue. It was full occupancy on that day, and it seemed that staff were finding it difficult to cope with getting plated and glasses recycled to meet the demand. Also, food in action stations during breakfast long queues I went to some friend's rooms who had joined us and observed that some rooms had nice flower arrangements where as ours didn't.

Extremely valuable for the price paid. Room is spacious, had a nice sea view. The bathroom had a bathtub. Amenities like shower gel, shampoo, body lotion, shaving kit, dental care kit were supplied. The breakfast was superb with a good amount of varieties. We ordered dinner via room service and it was delicious with generous portions. Centralized AC had a modern controller which supports the Automatic blower that increased the comfortability. Poll is nice and big that vary the depth from 1.2m -1.8m.And they have sat up nice line of lights on beach that gives a nice vibe at night time when you are looking at the sea from your balcony.

There were some ants in the bathroom. Bath tub had a water drainage issue.

We had a truly wonderful experience during our stay. From the moment we arrived, we were given a warm and heartfelt welcome. The arrangements made for our anniversary were beautifully done and made us feel very special. The service was caring, respectful, and attentive throughout our stay. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The food was delicious and full of flavor. We especially loved the calm, serene atmosphere and the lush greenery surrounding the hotel, with the beach on the other side adding to the peaceful charm. It was a perfect getaway — we absolutely loved it!
