Hand down one of the BEST hotels ive stayed in Sri Lanka. I have stayed in many hotels across the world and this one stands out as truly amazing. A hidden gem. Firstly the property is immaculate! Clean and beautiful! The scenery is breathtaking, we couldnt stop taking videos of it from the balcony, the garden and inside. Bathroom is huge, overlooking the scenery. Fresh flowers in bathroom and dining table. It smells very nice as soon as you walk in. Location is very convenient. But what has trully blown us away is the service. The staff are on another level. Firstly they message you with information before you even reach. Once u reach you receive royalty treatment with a smile! Shameera is always available to help, assisted us in ordering food and arranged to light a bonfire for us in the garden with blankets. We enjoyed the stars and warm fire, very cosey. They even gave us a special surprise at the end of our stay. I honestly wish i could stay longer and will definitely return. It is worth every penny.

Had a really enjoyable one night stay here, wish we could have stayed for longer. Property is very clean and comfortable, with amazing views overlooking the beautiful landscape. Bathtub gets a special mention, a really luxurious touch. Beds were very comfortable and if you choose, the property is fully equipped to make it feel like a home from home. Breakfast is delicious and the staff were really helpful and lovely to deal with, providing useful information on the area and driver information if required. Seen some feedback on location been too far out, but it’s really not that bad, actually close to the popular tea factories and a 10 minute tuk tuk ride in to the main town.

The house is located on top of a hill with amazing views to the city and valley. Much better than staying in Nuwara Eliya which is a worn down, noisy and otherwise uninteresting city besides Victoria Gardens and The Grand Hotel and some garden walks on the hillsides. A morning tub shower is amazing, and we enjoyed staying there with our small daughter as the neighbor has a kid friendly kitten passing by the well trimmed garden - also with an astonishing view. We can recommend the Hattie Hill hike and the hill cities. From here you can’t hear the main roads traffic noise and the gardens is full of flowers on the mountain. Also, the main road north of property leads to the valley towards Kandy, only 10 min walk and you will find much nice nature and tea fields and walks than those on the Nuwara Elyia valley. Just a peanut thing and note. The shower hose was leaking a bit which is a pity as it may damage the wood finishing. A quick fix if not already fixed.

The hotel has some maisonett villas, with living room, kitchen and toilet downstairs, and two double beds and a big bath upstairs. It looks like on Fotos. It was the best room we stayed in Sri Lanka and worth the money. Super comfortable beds, nice interior and great views. The property manager is super polite, prompt and helpful. You can easily get in touch via WhatsApp and he also arranged the tuktuk to go into a nice restaurant. Breakfast will be served in the room. I would always book it again and send my best wishes to the team of Luxe Wilderness

It is a bit away from the city center, but with a TukTuk super okay. However, with being away from the city, you get a relaxing environment. I guess in the center, you don’t want to stay anyways, since it’s busy, crowded, loud and not nice.

We had such a fantastic stay at this absolute gem in Nuwara Eliya! This place deserves more than 10 rating. My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon trip around Sri Lanka and it’s been our highlight accommodation so far. The villa is beautiful, so comfortable and super cosy. The views are insane. So beautiful. Yummy breakfast too! What makes this place so special is how much the staff put into the service and making your stay memorable. A very special shoutout to Shameera who went above and beyond to look after us. The gestures and attention were so thoughtful. He is the absolute best! Thank you Luxe Wilderness and thank you Shameera for such an amazing stay. We wish we could have stayed even longer!

The villa was a little smaller than it appears in the photos, however it is very cosy and comfortable. The view is amazing from the ground floor living area and the bedrooms upstairs. Nalin the host is nothing short of exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. His breakfasts were fantastic. Thank you Nalin, we are truly grateful! The property exceeded our expectations as well as the quality of other so called 4 start properties we stayed at previously. We will gladly recommend to our family and friends.

The only suggestions I can make are to seal the shower recess as it does tend to leak a bit. Another review suggested that the entire bathroom floor was wet or flooded, however this was certainly not our experience. A fan may also be helpful upstairs in the bedroom during the warmer months.

The location of this property is insane! Superb views even though it was raining and really misty, which is typical for Nuwara Eliya I guess. The villa was a little out of the way and we’ve had some trouble with tuk tuk/taxi drivers not knowing where the location is. However, the place is really nice and I wish we were staying there for a little longer.

No blackout curtains!! Really didn’t want to wake up at 7am on my holiday especially with a 4 year old one who thought it was time to play and wake up. Please consider blackout curtains!

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was super quiet, and the terrace offered immaculate views of the town, where we spent a lot of our time. The bath with a view was a big highlight. The owners were exceptional, providing tips on food, organising taxis, accommodating a later checkout, and arranging pick-up from the station—they truly went above and beyond. The breakfast spread was fantastic! We found it hard to find places to stay here, so this is a must stay. Just around 10 minute tuk tuk to the town

The villa and view of the lake were stunning with lots of wildlife to see. The private pool was excellent. Access to Yala was good. Local restaurants are plentiful, but only accessible by taxi/tuk-tuk. This hotel seems to be part way through it's development, so don't be surprised if you find that you are the only people staying there!

Restaurant meal choice was very limited. The 'phone in the room didn't work. Way too many light switches! In the rain, the pathway to the room floods.

Luxx Wilderness is an absolute delight! Perched on a hilltop, this charming retreat offers breathtaking views that are worth the adventurous drive. The cozy accommodation and warm welcome from Nalin and his team create a truly magical atmosphere.

Now, the location itself is a bit of an adventure. It's perched on a hill, and after turning off the main road, the climb gets quite challenging. The road is very steep with lots of loose gravel, so be warned that most cars might struggle to reach the top.
