Great views, nice bar and restaurant, spacious room and most staff were incredibly friendly.

Some signs of wear and tear and you can tell the hotel has been around for a long time despite some recent renovations. There was a particular member of staff that became rather unpleasant and at times on the verge of aggressiveness when we kept politely declining their new 'romantic dinner' experience, which he brought up every breakfast and dinner during our 4-night stay at the hotel. It was a shame this one individual tainted the otherwise flawless experience provided by the rest of the staff.

We made a last-minute booking and, at the time, no double rooms were available. However, we called the hotel and spoke with Mihiri at the front desk, who was exceptionally helpful and assured us she would take care of it. When we arrived around 9 PM, she had already arranged for our twin room to be converted into a double and checked us in right away. Dilmi, another staff member, also went out of her way to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible with her warm and helpful demeanor. The food was outstanding, both at breakfast and dinner, with a wide variety of options. The restaurant staff were very attentive, and the manager, Shezan, went above and beyond to make sure we sampled all the local dishes. The hotel is centrally located and offers excellent views of Sigiriya Rock, especially from the pool area. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends!

don’t do the village sigiriya safari that the hotel propose! They are mis organized and we lost our way during the activity…in the middle of the jungle…kind of scary.Anyway , I don’t recommend it and also if you order an a la carte plate ,it takes 1hours to arrive.

Location is great, very close to the Sigiriya rock and also several restaurants and shops. The view from the pool is great, although it gets quite busy during the day. Staff is very attentive and nice. What we liked the most was the spa, we have the best massage ever on our first day and even came back again. Prasadini and Manoja are great professionals and we really enjoyed the experience

The facilities are a bit old and need some renovation, it looks better in the photos. The cleaning part was relatively bad, the rooms were not very clean and we got dirty and broken towels several times, both in the room and swimming pool

The hotel was perfect for our two-night stopover. After a long journey from Negombo, we went straight to the pool – check-in and check-out were quick and easy. Several restaurants are nearby; we tried Little Hut, which was excellent and very affordable (about 8,000 LKR for everything). On our first morning, we left at 5:00 am for the sunrise at Lion Rock – only about 5 minutes from the hotel – and returned just in time for the fantastic breakfast. The chilled fruit room was a highlight (our 7-year-old loved it), plus omelets, pastries, and plenty of hot dishes. After a short pool break, we went on a safari at Minneriya National Park (about 25 minutes away). Going around noon was perfect, as we avoided the big crowds later and saw around 100 elephants – an unforgettable experience! In the evening, we enjoyed the hotel buffet, which was varied and tasty, even offering pasta for our son. At 9,500 LKR for all (excluding drinks), the price was absolutely fair – though for us, 7:30 pm felt a bit late. Overall, a wonderful stay with great location, food, and experiences nearby.

Excellent outdoor pool, with spectacular view of Sigiriya. Nice pool bar and outdoor seating area adjacent to the pool. The breakfast buffet was vast. Bungalow rooms were a good size with A/C, ceiling fan, fridge and modern shower room. Staff were very courteous and helpful. We stayed in 5 hotels during our tour of Sri Lanka, and this was the only hotel in which the staff addressed my Wife directly. In every other hotel the staff always preferred to address only myself. Hotel location is short walking distance to village bars/restaurant and easily walkable to/from Sigiriya.

A beer choice other than Lion would be greatly appreciated but this limitation applies across Sri Lanka and this hotel is no exception. It didn't bother us (to the contrary) but be prepared to share the hotel grounds with Monitor Lizards, troops of Monkeys and a lot of very noisy Crickets (I assume).

The staff were most happy to walk the extra mile for us. Eg., I needed walking sticks to climb Sigiriya Lion Rock one morning. I had two replaced knees and a metal plate in my left leg to mend my broken femur (I am 74 years old). So I requested a staff member to just make me two walking sticks from the fallen branches I saw in the hotel grounds. To my surprise, the hotel carpenter (Sarjah?) made me two sturdy and beautiful walking sticks and left them in my room. So I managed to go to the top of the Lion Rock. If not for this kindness, I doubt I can get to even half-way of the climb. Wanted to give Sarjah a reward, but unfortunately he was on 3-day off after the Vesak holiday period. God bless him and thanks to the staff who introduced me to Sarjah. Great service!

Every member of the staff contributed to making our stay truly exceptional. Whether it was the front desk, housekeeping, restaurant team, or groundskeepers, each person carried a friendly smile and was eager to help in any way possible. The attention to detail, the courtesy extended to guests, and the calm, professional demeanor of everyone we interacted with made us feel both valued and at home. Special thanks to the team for always being attentive without being intrusive, and for consistently going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. It’s rare to find such a consistent level of excellence across the entire staff, and it’s clear that this hotel takes pride in its service. Hotel location is very close to Sigiriya Rock, that was our main reason to book this place. We were travelling with our 1.5 year old toddler, so we needed to be as close to the location so the travel time can be minimized. Hotel reception arranged a TUK TUK for us at early morning 5.30am without any additional charges by hotel, travel charges were paid to the driver only. on special request they made towel elephant as our daughter lover elephant too much. For driver we got room for free to stay including parking. The food (Breakfast & Dinner) is a vast menu and too much variety worth to pay if you want to explore the food & taste. Bar with Live music to enjoy & some indoor games for babies to get engage.

The hotel is lovely. The swimming pool had an amazing view. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant, the waiter was very attentive, and the food was delicious. In the evening, a musician played a piano, and my daughter of 2 years old was dancing and had a great time. We booked two rooms and both were very comfortable and clean. The concierge who helped with bags was very nice and helpful.

They gave me a discounted voucher for the spa and I tried to book a treatment but the staff said they were fully booked and also one of the staff for the pedicure was on holiday. I'm not sure why they gave a voucher if they don't have any availability. Breakfast was very busy, and I will probably have room service next time if it is available.
