We stayed in standard room which was real well equipped, good air con and nice bathroom. Lovely swimming pool and decent number of sun beds. We had half board so breakfast and dinner included. Both meals buffet style and a good amount of choices western and Sri Lankan. Staff are friendly and attentive. Lion Rock is about 20 minutes drive.

For the price of rooms I think a fridge should be provided as we stayed in much lower priced accommodation on this trip and all rooms (including home stays) provided a small fridge in the room. Also no cold drinking water provided at mealtimes. Location wise there isn’t anything in the immediate vicinity of the hotel - no shops or restaurants but as hotel provides half board this wasn’t a problem except for getting water - the hotel provides 2 small complimentary bottles daily. You can buy in the restaurant but only smallish bottles.

The staff make you feel so welcome and special.

Smart TV would have been nice but understandable not to have one.

The rooms were spacious, and it was all prepared and ready upon arrival , which was great . The pool is very spacious and the surrounding environment very relaxing. The food at the restaurant was good too.

The restaurant! The food was delicious, but the actual space of the restaurant didn't meet my expectations. Given how nicely the actual hotel space is designed and the nice rooms and the beautiful pool. The restaurant space is such a let down. It's so bland and basically just a room to dine in which takes away from the amazing hotel stay.

If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with excellent hospitality, breathtaking views, and a serene atmosphere, I highly recommend staying in Oak Ray Elephant Lake. The combination of comfort and stunning landscapes makes for an unforgettable experience

The surrounding was so calming. The room was clean. The staff was kind enough to upgrade our room to a deluxe room free of charge. The dinner and breakfast both were tasty. The biggest plus point is the gigantic pool. The pool was clean as well. We visited the Sigiriya lion’s rock in the morning and got a little late to cone back to the hotel to checkout. However, the staff was friendly enough to accommodate our concern and allowed us a late checkout for free. Kudos!

Great place to stay if you are heading to or on your way back from the amazing Sigiriya. So pleased I found this place, an absolute gem and the food was incredible. Finally a dinner in a good hotel that was cooked to order and not a buffet style set up. The pool was amazing.

Not their fault at all so this is not aimed at them but oh my goodness the mosquitoes!!! Take spray!

The rooms are spacious and well cleaned, Pool was great, Breakfast was just fine, lovely and welcome staff.

The mattress was not conferrable for me, we were located on the ground floor, so we had noises from the above residents.

Friendly staff who went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the kids loved the pool.

Bit out of town so unable to walk to shops if you needed anything.

Lovely room and pool. Monkeys and peacocks wonder in the gardens. Large bathroom and good WiFi/AC. Friendly staff.

We were only offered English breakfast whilst other guests appeared to be offered more local dishes like dhals.

Beautiful spot. Very spacious rooms with an excellent restaurant. The food is exceptional. Good location.

Staff seemed to be on island time... Many staff around but seemed hesitant to actually provide any service. We had to be very proactive on the matter.
