This was my favourite hotel in Sri Lanka, the hotel was a great location, very chilled vibes, quiet beach. Perfect for chilling. All the staff were very helpful and friendly particularly Naleen who looked after us and has been there since the hotel opened, and the receptionist was also lovely. Also loved the food the best Kottu rotti in Sri Lanka

Execellent hotel. The beach, pool, service and rooms are great. The staff also planned a perfect day trip to the Udawalawe safari incl. transport, lunch, booking tickets and guide, etc. Very convenient. Highly recommend.

When choosing this hotel you should know thats its quite secluded i.e. some other hotels nearby but generally its a place you go if you’d like to chill at the hotel for the whole stay. Another good to know is that the beach is not great for swimming. The waves are huge. However, the pool is amazing and the sunbeds are good.

I would give more than 10 if I could. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. Perfect if you just want beach, pool, nice food, nature, and calm. There is also quite a decent amount of activities you can do around there, Kayaking, Biking, Birdwatching, Turtlewatching etc. We were here in July, had 0 rain and lots of privacy. Ananya offers you all the amazing services of a resort without making you feel like you are in one. The menu is very versatile and the prices are super fair. The Sri Lankan Dishes are amazing, also dont miss out on the Sri Lankan breakfast (hoppers, string hoppers, etc.)

That we didnt stay forever

If you are looking for a beach front stay on a near deserted beach backed by a wildlife lagoon then this is the place. We did a huge amount of research to find somewhere away from the tourist areas of Tangalle and Mirissa and this did not disappoint. Only 12 very comfortable rooms across two blocks with every amenity. Bikes and kayaks available with guided paddle boat tours of lagoon also book able via hotel for LKR8000. Excellent breakfast options, western or Sri Lankan. Egg Hoppers were best we’d had. Lovely pool, beach loungers and swings, lunch and dinner also served either undercover or on the beachside deck. The Team were super friendly and helpful.

Lovely view from room 4 (of only 12 rooms) of the sunset, nice spacious room with good air con and a fan. Firm but comfortable beds and good pillows and no noise at night. Very friendly and efficient staff, Janith in particular was always there to help. Lovely pool and access to a deserted beach straight from the hotel. The food at breakfast and dinner was good quality also and not expensive.

The access road is a couple of km of unmade track, very bumpy, but when you arrive you meet an oasis of calm. As long as you don't plan to go in and out every day this is no problem.

A very well run hotel. The hotel is immaculately clean and provides a very relaxed atmosphere with spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds. Excellent breakfasts, lovely pool, great beachfront location, terrific freshly caught fish (on request fish options available too), but above all the lovely staff and particularly the manager (Nalin), who went out of his way to make our stay very special and personal. Would highly recommend the hotel.

A 25 minute very bumpy road to reach the hotel was a challenge for our driver!

We had such an amazing experience during our three-night stay. Location : Hotel is perfectly located, away from roads and city. It is not in heart of Tangalle, but it is what we liked, being in full nature, isolated from rush. Everything is accessibl with tuktuk, or you can rent a scooter through the hotel (that was we did for 3k rs per 24h). Several beaches and views around the hotel in walking distance. We chilled at the hotel, few intimate spots with sofa, sun beds, mostly with shade we need. The pool is incredible. A bit of Azulejos style. Room : Our room was perfect, clean, very good wifi, best room view ever with a 240° on the ocean. Huge balcony, very large, comfy bed, good bathroom installations. Robust and recent air conditonning, with a silent night mode. Big cooling roof fan working well and silent as well. Food & service : Hotel staff is kind and professional. A high level of hospitality service. Varied food, at reasonable price, which is not the case everywhere around. We had few lunches and dinners there. Finally, breakfast is delicious, with full of options : fresh fruits, different teas, coffees, even expresso (we didn't try, because we asked only tea during our stay in Sri-Lanka, Sri-Lankan style with different options, oat & fruits like a DIY porridge, pancakes, freshly break with butter and jam (good quality product, tasty). We are vegetarian, so we had many options there.

This was a fantastic hotel. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly - always smiling and willing to help, without that feeling of 'imposing' on you. Food was excellent. I absolutely recommend having the Sri Lankan breakfast, which was hoppers. We wish we'd had this every day! Rooms were immaculate, and always 'turned over' to a very high standard. Pool/beach towels included. Views were incredible. The location is a little remote with regards to excursions to find restaurants etc, but we did visit in shoulder season and maybe there is more in high season. As I say though, the food at the restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced so we didn't feel this was a negative. The staff helped enormously when booking activities - you could look to arrange this yourself but they really made it so simple, and having them take care of us was exactly what we needed after such a long journey from the UK. 10/10 - highly recommend staying here. We did 5 nights and felt this was plenty as we wanted to travel around more of Sri Lanka, however we were so relaxed and comfortable that it was hard to say goodbye!

I had a wonderful experience. The best part was the direct access to the beach, making it easy to enjoy the clean ocean and beautiful surroundings. The food was delicious, offering a great variety of flavors, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was peaceful, with very few people around, making it a perfect spot for relaxation. Additionally, the pool was well-maintained and a great place to unwind.

However, there are a few things to consider. The ocean was quite rough, making swimming difficult, so if you're looking for calm waters, this might not be the best choice. The road leading to the hotel was in poor condition, which made getting there and leaving a bit challenging.

Amazing staff. Loved being beachfront. Stunning beach that's mostly deserted. Lovely and quiet. The staff were so accommodating - explained I was vegan and they sorted me out with hoppers unprompted which I thought was so kind - loved the food here. Dhal was amazing and portion sizes are huge. They helped organise a trip to see some turtles nesting. Would return :)

Down a very long road full of pot holes so that increased the price of our tuktuk fares. A bit out of town but enjoyed staying where we were for most of our stay.
