Stunning property set in tropical surroundings. A truly immersive escape in nature. Very open bungalows, but safe and secure. Felt very private and comfortable. They staff cannot do enough for you and look after you extremely well. I was a solo traveller, so it took me a little getting used to sleeping with the sounds of the wildlife, but it’s very safe and what you would expect when you’re on the outskirts of a Sri Lankan bird sanctuary. Be sure to use mosquito repellent and the mosquito nets, which are kindly provided. This is not your typical hotel stay, so do not come expecting Netflix in your bedroom or air con. There is a room fan which worked well for ensuring a comfortable nights sleep (march time) and I enjoyed the all inclusive dining option and fresh fruits and vegetable dishes, which made plant-based meals a real treat (I’m not a vegan or veggie). I stayed for 6-nights, but most other couples stayed for 1-4 nights, and chose to diversify their trip with some time near the beach in Unawatuna, Ahangama or Mirissa or Weligama (great for those who wish to learn to surf or are looking for more night life and social buzz.) Kaju is perfect for those wishing to switch off and reset after a busy work life.

Stayed at Kaju Green Eco Lodges and fell in love with this place at first sight! It is the perfect combination of comfort, coziness and harmony with nature. What I especially liked: Stunning grounds – well-kept tropical gardens, clean air and a feeling of complete unity with nature. Cozy and stylish bungalows – everything is thought out to the smallest detail: natural materials, comfortable beds, nice decor and cleanliness. Friendly staff – always ready to help with a smile, create a truly warm atmosphere. Delicious and healthy food – fresh fruits, organic products and a varied menu. Peace and tranquility – no noise and fuss, only the singing of birds and the rustling of leaves. Special thanks for the eco-friendly approach - it's nice to relax in a place where they care about nature. If you are looking for a place for relaxation, inspiration and comfortable rest in harmony with the surrounding world - Kaju Green is the perfect choice! Will definitely come back again!

Extremely kind and helpful staff. Clean and big separated bungalow for stay. The entire hotel is in the forest. The breakfast was good, but I need to highlight that it was vegetarian. There was a pool in the "garden". Tap water was clean and drinkable (without consequences). It is a really good place for relaxing. I can recommend this hotel.

Only one, but important thing: once the floor becomes wet, it will be extremally slippery in the shower room, because the surface is super smooth. Both of us have slipped and fallen on it. It was serious for me, I am still under therapy at home. It is the best interest of the hotel to handle the slipperiness for avoiding future, possibly more serious incidences.

This is a place you can love or hate. The bungalows are modern designed, very stylish and effective. We felt very comfortable and loved them...BUT if you want to lock your door, if you don't like the idea of your room being open to nature or if you feel that concrete and dark wood are not what you call stylish you won't feel comfortable. The grounds are small but lovely, the pool gorgeous..we spent some very nice mornings there away from the buzz..BUT if you want to have drinks close by or your towel ready when you come then you are not right here. Breakfast (included) was healthy and fresh, very nicely presented BUT if you are looking for large quantities or for a wider choice, again this is not the place. Staff was very friendly, yoga in the morning great, a daily tuk-tuk ride to the beach and back is included and worked perfectly. In short, I can find reasons to give this place a 10 but also a 6.. I think the other reviews are also euphoric or a little negative. As a whole it worked very well for us and I would recommend it..however, price-wise this is the most expensive stop on our 2 week tour in Sri Lanka..definitely a little pricey

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, this eco resort in the middle of a bird sanctuary is absolutely perfect. The setting is stunning—so calm and picturesque, with wildlife everywhere you look. Waking up to birdsong and seeing so many colorful species up close was just magical. Honestly, the best vegetarian food I’ve ever had. Every meal was packed with fresh flavors, and you could tell they use the best local ingredients. It was a treat every single time! The staff were amazing—so kind, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. They made sure everything was just right, whether it was helping plan nature walks or catering to special requests. Special thanks to Ruwan and the whole team. If you want a tranquil escape with great food, incredible staff, and a chance to really connect with nature.

It's simply paradise on Earth! The best place to enjoy nature! The staff is very kind and caring, the food is delicious and natural, and the kayaking trips are incredibly fun. There are chipmunks, monkeys, and lots of birds roaming around the area. This is truly a wonderful place to retreat, escape the hustle and bustle of the city, and enjoy all the beauty Sri Lanka has to offer. I would be absolutely delighted to come back here again! Once again, huge thanks to the amazing staff. We are in love with Kaju Green forever!

Located right in the jungles, this place is truly connecting you to the nature. We could see different animals but they are all harmless. Pool is really beautiful and relaxing! Breakfasts are amazing! Very rich in flavour and delicious! Our villa had a beautiful bathroom and bedroom. Very relaxing stay, the staff are very friendly and assisting! Thanks to them we have spent an amazing time here. Highly recommend if you're tired from city noises and would like to take a break and just relax.

We were staying at time when it was full moon celebration and it was noisy at night but that only happens on full moon celebration nights.

The design and decoration of the territory is very harmonious with the surrounding nature, which adds to the uniqueness and charm of this place. There are many animals on the grounds such as squirrels, varanas, monkeys, etc. The rooms at Kaju Green are spacious, bright and very comfortable. Each room is equipped with everything you need to feel at home. The cleanliness and order was of a high standard, which certainly added to the comfort level. The hotel staff is a separate topic. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were always a pleasure to talk to and were willing to help with anything from organizing excursions to recommendations on local food. The sincerity and desire to make our stay as enjoyable as possible was palpable. Hotel Kaju Green is the perfect place for both romantic getaways and family vacations. My wife and I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Kaju Green Eco Lodges, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth, making us feel right at home. Their attentiveness and kindness truly enhanced our experience. One of the highlights was kayaking through the nearby mangroves, surrounded by stunning scenery and the soothing sounds of nature. We also took advantage of the rides offered to Turtle Beach, where we had the incredible opportunity to witness turtles swim right up to us. Seeing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat was an unforgettable experience. We loved the peaceful pool area, where we spent lazy afternoons soaking up the sun and enjoying the serene atmosphere. Additionally, the morning yoga sessions were a wonderful way to start each day, helping us connect with nature and find our inner calm. As a huge fan of meat, I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and satisfying the plant-based meals were. Each dish was a celebration of local ingredients, bursting with fresh flavors that left me eagerly anticipating each meal. My wife and I enjoyed every bite, and I found myself completely content without my usual meat options. The lodges themselves were beautifully designed, blending comfort with nature.
