Its a beautiful hotel, with nice rooms. The best we had in the whole month journey in Sri Lanka. Ist situated out of the way but easy to find using a tuktuk which brings you to the beach center for a couple of hundred rupiahs only. Its clean! Its airy, with a great recention room which is open to the garden all time. You breakfast there as if in the tropical woods. On the other side is a nice swimming pool. Sitting on your balcony at night fireflies visit. Its tranquil there and the beds are very good. Opposite this hotel is a excellent Spa for your massages which scores a 5 on tripadvisor. We did two concecutive mornings of 1 hour deep full body massages. This hotel is a romantic place to be.

Choosing Tropical Retreat based on its stellar past reviews was a decision we're so glad we made. This villa is nothing short of amazing! The rooms were not only good but exceeded our expectations, and the spacious swimming pool added an extra layer of relaxation to our stay. The staff at Tropical Retreat are incredibly warm and friendly. It's evident they genuinely care about their guests. We also appreciated their awareness of the current situation, making sure everything was in place and welcoming for clients post-COVID. This has easily become one of our favourite holiday destinations in Sri Lanka. If you're looking for a tropical paradise with excellent service, look no further. Tropical Retreat has our highest recommendation!

The room was huge, the photos did not do it justice. Air conditioner, hairdryer, etc. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. The whole hotel was decorated beautifully. The gardens are idyllic. Could not fault the staff. They made the stay. Breakfast was scrumptious.

It was an amazing place, 5 mins away from the busy part of Unawatuna beach. The hotel kindly upgraded our room as well, and after the long day and drive, it was so nice to have rest in such a beautiful place. The room was really big with a balcony.

We really enjoyed the room, pool, food and service. The staff was outstanding, they were always smiling, helpful, giving a tip and a hand in everything we ask, doing everything on it's best side, it was really an amazing choice to stay there, definitely worth the money.
