Highly recommend! I had a amazing experience at the Kingfisher Bamboo Vila; staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect! Excellent property and very convenient to all the restaurants and shops. I visited their Restaurant , Kingfisher Unawatuna Hotel. Which is a 2mins walk. Food was Excellent. Lobsters, Crab, Oysters, Etc. was fresh from the boat! Unawatuna Beach was out the world. Had a amazing time in Sri Lanka!

The room and the hotel were absolutely amazing. The room and bathroom were huge,it was nice and cosy. They even prepared a little surprise for our honeymoon, we were so grateful. The communication was good and the staff in the Bamboo Garden Villa was pleasant and welcoming. We also loved the dog running around. Breakfast was tasty and we did not mind the walk to another hotel.

These are not really cons, more like room for improvement, we were really happy in the hotel: - Breakfast is not a buffet, but you can choose from western or Sri Lankan breakfast. Sri Lankan were not available, while we were staying. Western were tasty, but basically the same, so if you are staying for longer time, it could be monotone. No water included for breakfast, but you can pay extra to get water. -The sunbeds are limited as well as the umbrellas, so it might happen, you will not get one. - Staff in the Kingfisher hotel were not as friendly as in the Bamboo Villa Garden, maybe there was language barrier, we were not sure.

Fantastic staff, my partner had a medical emergency in the middle of the night and the owner Duminda went above and beyond, sorted out an ambulance and was extremely helpful. The property itself is lovely, beautiful big rooms and fantastic tub and balcony.

Not really terrible but the one downside is that you have to walk down to the sister property on the beach which is about 800 meters down the road for breakfast. But it’s not a difficult walk and we just stayed there and enjoyed the sun beds for the rest of the day.

Lovely rooms, very spacious with balconies, big bed and huge bathroom. Very central location right next to the Main Street.

Breakfast - it is at the sister hotel which is a good 10min walk away. This was not made clear upon check in and I had to ask. The dog Luna is lovely, such a friendly little pup however, each morning we were woken by her barking at the monkeys in the trees. One morning this was 4am.

The size of the accommodation - bedroom and bathroom were huge and it also had a lovely big balcony with plenty of seating options. Was spotlessly clean as well. Location is perfect - straight out the gate onto the main street yet the property remained quiet. Luna the puppy was so cute and friendly too.

Amazing how big it is! Clean and super chill! Everything was perfect, we also saw monkeys every morning in the tree. The staf was super nice and the cleaned every two days the room! Best stay!

kingfisher bamboo garden was a great place to stay, comfortable big room. great value for money. lovely friendly host. it’s like an oasis amidst the beautiful busy village of Unawatuna.

Lovely well maintained property. Huge stylish room. Owner and his wife super accommodating and friendly. Luna the puppy id a treasure.

Nothing at all to dislike

Location is perfect just in the heart of Unawatuna. Nice restaurant and cafes nearby. Room is huge! Loved the bathroom and big plus for hairdryer. We enjoyed our stay!
