What a WONDERFUL choice this turned out to be! Mario, the owner, was the most amazing host and went so far above and beyond during our stay to take care of us. Not only did he pick us up at the airport upon our arrival, but he took us back at 4am the day we were leaving for a 6am departure! 4am - seriously, who does that?!?!? He and his wife cooked us the most amazing meals - so fresh and delicious and delivered straight to our door at agreed-upon times. The cabin was absolutely adorable and featured a large bed in its own room plus a very comfy sofabed in the living room. There was plenty of room for two adults. Nice dining/kitchen area with a large table and chairs, fridge and mini dishwasher (but they wouldn't even let us do our own dishes - they insisted on cleaning up throughout our stay!). We arrived on a Sunday and all the liquor stores (which are state-run in Sweden) were closed, so Mario brought me a box of white wine from his own stash. This property sits right on a beautiful lake. There's a picnic table out in front of the room and I appreciated that smoking outdoors was allowed with an ashtray provided. The place was so peaceful and we enjoyed spending time outside just savoring the quiet and basking in nature. My daughter very much enjoyed swimming in the lake and using the sauna.

The only disappointments were (i) the weather didn't cooperate enough to allow us to take advantage of the boating and kayaking in which we'd hoped to participate (we deferred to Mario's judgment on that because it was evident how much he cared about our safety as his guests) and (ii) the hot tub was not working during our visit. Hopefully someday we can go back and take advantage of these amenities.

Evika Boutique Hotel has been our favorite place to stay in Sweden so far after a full week of traveling. We arrived at Landvetter Airport and stayed here because it was so close. But it was beyond our dreams the BEST! Our view of the lake was absolutely stunning. The house perfect. The people always make the place and Mario gave us the warmest welcome, and he and Madeline served elegant meals on our deck overlooking the views. This place is not to be missed. Our trip was fully planned or we would have loved to stay longer!!! We will be so joyful, however, that our last day in Sweden will be with them. We are so grateful for the most perfect start to our trip! I haven’t felt so much peace for years!❤️

We had a great stay! The host was extremely helpful — even though we arrived around midnight, he was awake, welcomed us warmly, and took the time to show us everything we needed. He also helped us plan our travel within the city, which made our trip much easier. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!

Relaxed environment, nice view on the lake, very pleasant host. It is now early in the season, but in summer it must be paradise with all activities they offer!

Maybe install better curtains

Mario is a great host and is doing everything to make his guests' stay comfortable! The breakfast and dinner were delicious, our kids enjoyed all the child-friendly extras (swimming in the lake, swinging over the lake and jumping on the trampoline). Our accommodation was very clean.

The location was a bit further out from Gothenburg then anticipated, but was so lovely. Forests, lake, cabins all beautiful and so serene and peaceful.

There was a beautiful thick robe in the room but it was a very small size. But such a minor complaint.

The lake view is beautiful. The greenery is beautiful The swing is so much fun

the activities can be booked at an extra fee. Some of the curtains need fixing as they don’t close properly

The location was great, and Mario and Michy are great hosts

We didn’t completely understand the concept of “boutique” hotel. It’s more a great location in nature with 5 apartments/houses for self catering

Great place to relax and unwind. The host has many activities and places that guests can relax outside of the cabins.

The road is a little steep and narrow.
