Very friendly owners & staff. They made us feel at home from the moment we entered. We loved our room with beautiful classic touches. The bed was super comfortable and the room has a Nespresso machine, which we like for our morning coffee. The restaurant is superbe; very much recommended (also with a few delicious vegetarian & vegan options). Breakfast was indulging. Compliments to the Chef and his/her team ♥️ Ambiance is great! Lots of eye for detail and subtle touches of romance every where. We were here in wintertime, which is very cosy and for sure summertime here must be wonderful too, with the lake only a few steps away (3-5 minute walk). Made our morning walk before breakfast and enjoyed the views and crispy air in the early morning sun. We are looking forward to come back soon!

Easy walking distance to and from the train station particularly if you use the town’s main elevators from the station. Hotel was quaint and traditional of Switzerland. Warm welcome and really friendly staff. Room was a decent size. Great outside seating for breakfast, drinks and meals. The breakfast was one of the best we had across the 10 days vacation. Smoked salmon, trout, freshly boiled eggs, home made pancakes. Wide selection of dried fruits and muesli, preserves, cheeses alongside the traditional scrambled egg, croissants, bread rolls and bacon etc.

No Air con but recognise that in such a traditional property this may not be possible. Fan and open windows did keep the room cool. Shower was easy to operate but was over the bath which was a struggle with limited mobility.

The location, the style and history of the hotel, the cleanliness, the quality of the bedding, and the breakfast. The owners are lovely, attentive, and extremely helpful. You can stay here with your eyes closed!

Nothing! But if you're a highly sensitive sleeper, ask for a room higher up so you won't be disturbed by any noise from the wooden floors at night. I'll definitely stay here again!

The location from the train station was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, with a great selection of breakfast options.

The room was situated with a less desirable position in the hotel. The view of the alley wasn’t appealing and the commercial trucks unloading nearby was very noisy. I think the choice of this room was due to the nightly rate through Booking.com. I believe if we had booked directly then we would have found out its position in the hotel.

Everything was nice. Our room overlooked a small courtyard. We had a problem with a locked handle on a peace of luggage that needed to be fixed before we flew home. Robin spent time with us fixing it. I hope I remembered his name right. They had a really nice breakfast for us before we flew home. We had dinner the night before in their restaurant. This was our 14th day in Switzerland and thought that meal was the best one we had . Everyone was so friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

This place is a true gem and Sabrina and Pascal are the best hosts I've ever met (and there have been quite a few). The hotel is full of charm and history. It's well maintained, clean, great wifi connection. Luxurious duvets for our unexpected snowy stay mid-April. Super breakfast, strong, fresh coffee and personalised, connection based treatment as guests. Great location within Horgen too, close to all transport links and amenities. Highly recommended.

We liked absolutely everything.

This place is truly a gem. Only a 30 minute train ride from Zurich airport, in a fascinating section of old-town Horgen. The building, from 1466, has been nicely restored, and the accommodations were great. The restaurant is exceptional - wonderful dinner and the best breakfast we had in our four weeks in Switzerland. Sabrina and Pascal (and the rest of the staff) are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Very highly recommended.

We booked a 5 day trip for my birthday, which was the 2nd day. We went down to breakfast, and our table was decorated with birthday serviettes and glitter. Totally unexpected as hotels on previous birthday trips didn't even mention it. It was a lovely touch, which was much appreciated, and was an example of Pascal and Sabrina's thoughtfulness and willingness to help with any advice or extras we may have needed.

The only reason for Value for Money rating is due to the Swiss Franc being much stronger than the British Pound. Not the hotel's fault !

Location was excellent! Staff excellent. Ambience excellent. Beautiful decorations. Nice and warm! Breakfast was very good- a nice selection of cold and cooked options and nicely presented. Great staff. Ideally would like some butter for bread or toast but maybe this is usual for Switzerland. Coffee nice too. The hotel was beautifully decorated with Christmas tree, and lots of lovely touches. Hotel was nice and warm. The staff were delightful and were around most of the time. We had a great welcome and really felt looked after. The bedroom (17 or 19?) was slightly small and not particularly great, slightly dull lighting. However bed very comfortable with beautiful cotton bed linen. Only issue we had ( which staff did address) was that there was a lot of low-level noise and vibration from the kitchen air-con, in the evening and even overnight on first night. This was quite substantial. The staff assured us it would be switched off earlier at night, but I think this possibly needs a definite resolution. If we visit again, will ask for a room in a different position to avoid kitchen air-con issue. We found the hotel a little expensive but good value for a quality experience. We have a very positive view of our lovely stay there. Horgen itself was also delightful.

Great location, in the middle of the old village, very cute. Atmospheric and romantic. Host was friendly and carried my very heavy bag up 3 floors. There is also a very nice restaurant just downstairs, with fountain in the middle of it, it was relaxing to have a dinner next to it heading the sound of the running water. Stuff was attentive and food was great! I recommend for a romantic getaway ❤️

Shower curtain could be new, it doesn’t cost a leg but would make a difference. I appreciated L’occitane shower gel, shampoo, body cream and hand soap.
