We had an excellent stay in the Boutique Hotel. It is only two stops away from Zurich Airport on the number 10 tram, and just a 5mins walk from this stop. The staff are so helpful, friendly, enthusiastic and couldn't do enough for us. We enjoyed the banter with Pinot, who told us where we could eat out. Everything we needed is a short few minutes walk away. Restaurants, Pharmacy, Coop (and Denners) food shops. The rooms were modern and clean, coffee maker, fridge (2 bottles of water left in the fridge each day). The included breakfast was first class. Choice of cereals, fruit, cheeses, meats, eggs and breads. We were greeted and served with a friendly smile. We would highly recommend a stay in the Gate Boutique Hotel. John and Martina, Ireland 🇮🇪

Close to the Airport Zürich The rooms were good and our stay was comfortable overall. Breakfast was okay. However, we had a negative experience during checkout. We requested a late checkout and received to extend our stay by two hours, until 1:00 Pm Unfortunately, about 10 minutes later, the owner arrived and spoke to us very rudely, insisting we vacate the room immediately. Despite explaining that we had already received permission from the receptionist, she continued to be disrespectful and unpleasant in her tone. The receptionist later apologized for the confusion, but the behavior of the owner was uncalled for and disappointing. It really affected what was otherwise a decent stay. Basic courtesy and respectful communication go a long way, and sadly, that was lacking in this case. This definitely impacted our overall experience.

The room was large with three French doors for ventilation. The location and staff were excellent.

The parking was paid but the lot was so small that we had to request staff to move cars so we could park on the second night. The maid was still in our room when we arrived at 5 pm on the second night. The room had a portable fan in the closet but no table near the bed near an outlet. We were able to use a chair from the balcony for the fan. Since there was a kitchenette with a cooktop, sink and refrigerator, it also would have been nice to have a microwave and dishes.

The host is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious every morning and provided a great variety of options, even for people with intolerances or allergies. It was absolutely lovely to eat breakfast on the terrace, the area where the hotel is located is so quiet and chill. The room was cozy and clean. Another great plus is that the hotel is close to the airport (we decided to walk to the hotel to see more) but the hotel is located very close to a bus station so easy access for those who prefer transport. I absolutely loved watching the planes getting ready for landing every morning (made it kind of my routine during our stay there).

First time trying this newer property as an overnight before flying out from Zurich. I was very satisfied with the property. I was a single female traveling by public transportation arriving after dark. The bus stop (Glattbrugg, Post) was an easy three block walk from the Glattbrugg train station with the Glattbrugg Riethofstrasse stop just a 2 minute ride. Backtrack just a bit to Riethofstrasse and the Gate Hotel is an easy two block walk. While wary, I felt perfectly safe the entire time. I was greeted warmly and my room was as I expected. It was a bit larger for a single room. Wifi was great and there were ample outlets for charging devices. The bed was comfortable. Property pictures are accurate. Breakfast was simple but adequate. The airport was an easy 8 minute ride from the Riethofstrasse bus stop.

Not a true complaint, but a suggestion. The bathroom (with very nice shower) is separated from the sleeping area by a glass wall/sliding door. There is no lighting in the actual bath area, only the ambient light from the room. Lighting around the mirror area would be an improvement, though there is a large mirror in the sleeping area that is well lit.

The hotel is somewhat surprising with its lack of organization from the start, though the staff is quite friendly, even if they seem a bit unprofessional. Everything I requested was eventually handled, so there are no major complaints. The place is unexpectedly nice, located very close to the airport. It's more of an apartment-style hotel, well-finished inside and comfortable. Entering it feels like stepping into a well-organized and nicely finished home. Similarly, the room surprises with its size, a large balcony, and well-organized furnishings, including an interesting bathroom. Despite its proximity to the airport, it's relatively quiet, though you can hear the departing planes. I assume the local residents are used to it, so it didn't bother me too.

There is some difficulty with parking spot. The reception isn’t ideal, and there’s no option to have any meals at the hotel in the evening. While I did see someone eating in the restaurant, I’m not sure if that’s a regular offer. Given the appearance of the place, I expected a bit more.

Everything is brand new. High quality materials, design and attention to detail that goes far beyond basics. Comfy bed. Very good coffee and a quality breakfast. Located 4 minutes uber ride away from the airport.

Arriving after 11pm due to unexpected flight delay was a bit awkward. I felt terrible waking someone up to open the door for me. Not really a major issue, but planes are taking off right above it, so with an open window it's as loud as it gets.

This hotel is fantastic! I was looking for a place to have a rest day during our long vacation and this turned out to be the nicest place we stayed. It was clean, spacious, and they had good fans for the rooms. The included breakfast was the best we had, offering eggs and bacon in addition to the excellent continental items. It is close to the airport but I didn't find airplane noise to be a problem because planes seldom went by and the windows kept out sound well. There are 3 excellent supermarkets and some decent restarurants within a 5-10 minute walk. The staff were very nice and helpful. I 100% recommend The Gate Hotel!

The room was perfect—spacious, very comfortable, and clean. The beds were excellent, the bathroom was huge, and the balcony offered a peaceful view of a quiet neighborhood. The breakfast was quite good, with all the essentials including coffee, juices, and more. I will definitely choose this place again next time!

Honestly, there wasn’t anything I didn’t like, everything met or exceeded my expectations.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! Everything was absolutely wonderful. The rooms are spacious, everything is extremely clean, and the breakfast was excellent. The location is also great — not far from the airport. They even left two complimentary bottles of water in the room, along with a Nespresso machine and coffee capsules, which was a really nice touch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again!
