We’re a family of 3 and We stayed for 5 nights. The hotel was cozy and superb in every aspect. the staff were very kind and welcoming. the room was big enough and clean, not to mention the beautiful view of lake Zürich from the balcony. breakfast was fresh and diverse Room service was fast The hotel provided us everything we need for our child to make us comfortable I would definitely recommend staying at Alex Lake hotel. For me, Alex Lake will be my first choice whenever i am visiting Zürich again

I love the service, attitude, positivity of the front desk staff as well as the staff who helped to carry our luggage and welcomed us the moment we stepped foot into the hotel. They exceeded my expectations! This is such as nice place to stay in Zürich. The environment is entirely different from that near the Zurich Main Train Station. The room design is modern, v clean. The kitchen utensils were all of high quality, vv clean as well. Totally no issue for a clean freak like me. They even provided chauffeur service from hotel to the nearest train station. Service was just ups!! From the start till the end. Will definitely stay here again, if I go Thalwil!

Our stay at the Alex Lake Zurich Hotel was absolutely wonderful. The hotel's stunning lakeside location offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere, making it the perfect getaway. The facilities and rooms are beautifully designed, providing both comfort and elegance. The reception staff were incredibly professional and welcoming, with a special shout-out to Michael, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was truly enjoyable. We especially loved dining at the hotel's restaurant each evening. The entire staff was top-class—warm, attentive, and so much fun! Every meal was a delight, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Thanks to all the guys, you were each wonderful in your own way. And we will never forget the expert Water Sommelier! Magnificent team. We can't wait to return to the Alex Lake Zurich Hotel. Highly recommended!

Air conditioning needs to be a little colder in the rooms. I know this nothing to do with the hotel but with the Swiss Eco program. Please improve and everything will be perfect!

I loved everything about my stay here. The staff were incredibly kind, the rooms were beautiful and spacious, and the lake view was stunning. The hotel’s facilities were excellent as well. I would definitely stay here again!

We had some little problems with our room but it has been promptly resolved by the manager. We ve been then upgraded to a lovely room on the 3rd floor with balcony . We ve spent 2 days there . And it was a really nice stay

Stayed in a lake view suite for 2 days.It was a fantastic view and we enjoyed every minute of our stay.Staff was very helpful and friendly from the minute of check in and out.Nice location,close to old town, peaceful place.Worth the price..

We had a little difficulty on room's electric switches that we were unable to find which switch to control which light.There were no grounding sockets in the room to plug tea maker.All minor issues but suprisingly strange:)

The breakfast is disappointing for 5 star hotel. this is my 4th time staying here and think that they can extend to serving Bacon, sausages, instead of just salmon. also they have no lactose free milk, or lactose free yoghurts (having requested this previously) which is surprising since every hotel I’ve been to in Switzerland offers this. as a 5 star this hotel should put their clients request first. lastly the cheesecake at dinner was not ‘fresh’ the consistency was too hard as if it had been defrosted so wasn’t very edible!

Overall the cuisine quality in this hotel is exceptional with a great location both in terms of lake view, access and also proximity to City. A lovely small park just next to it, if you have a small kid. Facilities in the hotel is very modern, clean and well maintained. One of my top 3 hotels so far , i have been to probably more than 100 hotels. One special shout out to the staff. Service quality in Switzerland even for high end restaurants & hotels can be terrible sometimes. Service staff somehow can be entitled and may act rather rude around the country. So the Swiss hospitality is only a marketing gimmick in many occasions but not for this hotel. Lovely and friendly people. Very relatable and also professional at the same time. 11 over 10...

If you are interested to work out, i recall the gym was rather small but eventually this is a boutique hotel. Not much criticize to be honest.

The staffs, view and cleanliness are top tier. Amazing service. The breakfast is also great. You just have to make sure you ask the hostess for the main dishes

I wish they did not charge for the boat and that the rooms were slightly bigger. Although I would for sure stay there again. One of the best places I’ve stayed at.

The hotel is in the most relaxing area near the lake. It’s to beautiful to woke up and you see the lake while still in bed. The balcony is amazing I could set there the whole day. Walking around the hotel and going into the city and streets that go up the mountains are great.

The housekeeping need more training as they don’t clean properly. Also, They start the dishwasher for only a dish or a cup which is a waste of money and resources such as electricity and water. I suggest hotel bring smaller dishwashers that operate for short time as the ones in the room goes like for hours.
