The main asset of the hotel is it's location, halfway up the Bachtel Hill. It offers a splendid view over lake Zurich and the Obersee. The scenery is just outstanding as it ranges almost from Zurich to the Glarner Alps and further east. The Breakfast also did not disappoint, and if you fancy lunch or dinner be assured you will find good Swiss grub to enjoy.

The hotel offers stunning views and comfortable rooms, making it an ideal spot for enjoying nature and the view of the zürisee. The perfect location that provides a peaceful stay. The rooms are well-appointed and cozy. The friendly staff fulfill the overall enjoyment of the stay. Highly recommended for those seeking tranquility and comfort.

The view out of the hotel was great. Sadly I got a room which looked at the back, eventhough I booked with view. Personal was very friendly. Rooms were clean and bed was comfy. Overall matched the expectations I had.

Besides the fact I got another room that I booked and the restaurant being closed, nothing.

A bit too pricey for the room. For 110 it did not provide breakfast and did not even have a coffee machine in the room. Otherwise I would’ve given a 10. Instead I am debating between 8-9 because of lacking this comfort

Beautiful setting and pleasant room. Breakfast was enjoyable, as was dinner the previous night, but that was expensive.

Not easy to find through nearby housing, but that did not spoil the wonderful setting that was worth it

Locatoin is amazing and provides wonderful views and great walking (and cycling) trails around the area. Staff were great, the rooms were as we hope, and there is plenty of easy parking right next to the hotel / restaurant. Well set up! Really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is definitely a bit off the beaten Track a car is required. But you are rewarded with stunning views. Staff in the hotel and restaurant are very friendly and accommodating. I've been lucky enough to attend a very good concert at the hotel "Gartenwirtschaft" on a Saturday evening. Enjoying good company food and the sunset.

We loved the views on offer from the hotel and our room. The room was comfortable and quiet, and had everything we needed. The breakfast was good.

The restaurant was closed on the night we were there - we obviously should have done some better research when planning our trip.

Comfy renovated room with good quality materials and clean in general. spacious feeling in general except for the bathroom, easy to use entry and parking. located very idyllically.

the shower uses a shower screen, something which makes the shower even smaller to use and also there is no light above so if you close the curtain you have literally no view at all.

As for the view, it's great, you can see the lake. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is also good and has local and seasonal dishes, there is also a place to sit outside I recommend.

Doors are not very soundproof. You can easily hear people walk by. To get there is a bit tricky, if you don't have a car.
