Staff was very hospitable. A bit challenging to communicate in English, but somehow managed to deal with them in half German, half English :-) They do have in the corridors shoes dryers - which was a huge bonus after a rainy day! Room - good size and clean with quite nice view into the village and mountains.

Pillows! Pillows! Pillows! Recommend to replace them. The most uncomfortable I have used ever. And smoking people in the restaurant terrace under the room windows... Location - a bit challenging for the first time to go up to the mountain. But over 4 days got used to it. Watch the foxes if you drive in the dark :-)

Beautiful, peaceful setting just a few minutes walk to the chairlift, giving easy access to beautiful winter hikes and plenty of skiing. The rooms are spacious and light with beautiful views from the balconies. The multilingual team of staff made me feel incredibly welcome - as a solo traveller this is very important. This is one hotel that I will definitely go back to.

Our breakfasts and dinners were excellent. The hotel is family owned and staffed. There is a cable car from the town below and from Unterbäch there is a chair lift to the top of the mountain.

Staff was not always available. Unterbäch is a bit remote but quiet with beautiful views from our balcony.

The dinner was very good although pricy a bit. Good breakfast and very nice staff during the morning shift. Good water pressure. Some beds were comfy.

There are quite a few things needing a fix and the manager shared they are planning an overall fixes towards the end of the year. The evening staff was less kind than the one in the morning and the cleanliness can do a bit better. Some beds were too soft.

Comfortable room, good breakfast. Good location in Rhône valley to visit neighboring valleys. Close to open air swimming pool. Friendly owner

Stunning views of the mountains. Wonderful breakfast. Amazing location. Free access to gondola that brings you almost to the hotel from the valley. Extremely helpful staff and owner. Helped to navigate through my to do wish list wisely.

The owner and all staff were very friendly. We had a nice room with balcony and a beautiful view on the mountains. The food, both breakfast and but especially our dishes for dinner, was excellent!

Cozy quiet hotel with spectacular views to the mountains. Quite rural region for those who like peace, sauna and steam room facilities.

Nothing to report

Nice mountain view, nice terrace, small but functional wellness area with great Massage chair, good breakfast. The only thing we did not understand was why is it called Sporthotel; they did not have any sport facilities.
