We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the main pedestrianised street. The street was lively enough to be interesting, but so noisy as to be disturbing (and with the windows closed you couldn't hear a thing). The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the location couldn't be better just a few metres from the station and near the old town. The room was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was really exceptionally good. I would certainly stay here again if ever I happened to be in Visp.

Everything was great so no complaints at all.

The location is excellent, right next to the train station and surrounded by plenty of dining options. Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. The staff were friendly and always helpful. The room was very spacious and had more than enough space. Breakfast was very good with a sufficient variety, including vegan options.

It would be nice if the rooms had a fridge. There were no amenities provided, things like slippers or cotton swabs would have been appreciated.

Everything about the hotel, breakfast, rooms, location. Everything was comfortable.

Heating system is really not consistent, it was too warm (24 degc in winter in night is warm ) and we couldn't sleep in night, and when we put the heating to minimum( 16 degc), it automatically reset to maximum on different timings which was not clear. We had a talk at reception who informed that heating gets reset at 10 am, i felt the heater reset at different timings too.....It needs to be improved for sure. Other wise I would say put stay was a very good one.

Location: ideally situated close to transit links (train, bus) as well as supermarkets, shops & restaurants. Modern and clean facilities: no frills, but everything you need Friendly but unobtrusive staff I had the unexpected bonus of a free room upgrade upon arrival, which was very appreciated! The premium double room has a huge balcony with views over the city and the mountains beyond.

Nothing was amiss! However the following features (if added) would enhance the stay even more: -Mini fridge in room -2 x pillow per guest rather than 1 -Nespresso machine as well as kettle

Great location near the railway station, thus providing an easy to the numerous fantastic hiking possibilities in several valleys around. Rooms really soundproof, so no disturbing noise from outside or from neighbors. In addition to this, hotel surroundings, very busy at daytime, are really calm at night. Rooms modern, with enough light and all you need for a short stay. Good Wi-Fi. Very helpful staff, speaking perfect English. Great breakfast. Overall, highly recommended.

We checked-in late because of the train delays, staff replied immediately and gave as hotel entrance code and the contactless check-in is so convenient. Breakfast at the rooftop with the mountain view is such an experience. Food on the buffet table was good and you can choose a variety of warm and cold dishes. Location is excellent. Just 2 minutes walk to Visp train station.

This hotel was located across from the rail station, easy to get to. Easy to walk into / through town. Dogs are allowed. Great breakfast, friendly staff, and the room had a balcony. There is a cafe attached to the hotel I downgraded my room, as I stayed an extra night and did not want to change rooms. Even with the basic room, the room worked for me. Visp is a cute town with a beautiful, well preserved old town located 1 hour from Zermatt by rail. There are thermal baths about 10 mins from the Baxter Hotel. Visp has plenty of dining options within walking distance.

We loved following things about the hotel: 1. Location: It is very well located near to the railway station just 1min walk. 2. Cleanliness: The hotel is very well maintained and was super clean. 3: Rooms: The room we had got was more than enough for 2 people with good views of mountains. 4: Restaurants: Many restaurants are available near the hotel. 5: Staff: Most importantly the staff in the hotel is excellent. Very polite and welcoming.

Breakfast was very nice and hardy with scrambled eggs and yummy sausages. Loved the central location. The young lady at the front desk was VERY kind and helpful and professional.

No complaints! Even the very close location to the train station wasn't a problem, occasional noise, but no problem/we even slept with our balcony door open for the fresh air.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location for access to Zermatt and the Aletsch Region. Very comfy bed. The staff were incredibly helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay special for my Mum's birthday (leaving flowers and chocolate in the room). My Mum was absolutely over the moon!

Small breakfast room, but not unbearable and the food was fantastic.
