The owners and staff at Hotel du Pont could not have been any friendlier. Everyone was nice, cheerful, and helpful. The room was spacious with great views. Nothing better than waking up in the morning and looking out the window to see a beautiful mountain. The hotel has a long history, yet it has been maintained extremely well. Breakfast was traditional and good. We also ate in the restaurant, and it was delicious and reasonably priced. Great location, great staff, great room, and great food. I highly recommend the Hotel du Pont.

Location is very near the Brig main train station ( 5 min walk), with supermarkets and pharmacy within walking distance. Room was extremely clean. I was able to organize a late checkout at 14:00, which really helped when travelling with a young child. They are a family run hotel, and are very flexible. They even allowed me to store some food items that I was travelling with in their fridge. We dined there for dinner as well. Cordon bleu- highly recommend! They operate on a very relaxed, trust based system, which is so rare these days in the hotel industry. I returned to stay again. We can't wait to come back, and hopefully see how much Rowan has grown :)

A lovely, traditional, family-run hotel and where it is, Brig, is beautiful with excellent amenities and attractions for visitors. The hotel is a short walk from the railway station and next to the bridge over the Saltina, a torrent which roars down from the mountains. The room was large and well furnished, with a very comfortable bed and windows (which have shutters) which you can open properly, and the bathroom was recently installed and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is good and generous, although a bit more variety would be welcome. The hotel's own restaurant offers top-quality dining, indoors or on a pleasant terrace outside. The Wi-Fi is secured with a password.

The only thing not to like is that the towels are changed every day, even when it's not necessary.

Nice location and had a great view from my room. Friendly owners and a hassle-free stay. Location is nice and central in the town of Brig in the city centre, about a 5-10 minute walk away from the main station.

The furniture in the room is definitely a bit old and worn (but comfortable). I would have preferred a buffet breakfast instead of the provided one-person-set-at-the-table, the portions are large enough but would have liked to pick out what I wanted/needed instead. Right now it is either wasteful or some guests are provided anothers rejects.

Perfect location in the town centre. All the staff are really nice, except one old guy on the night shift. Not much choice for breakfast but very good quality. The hotel is rated 3 stars but my room was at least 4 stars. Amazing bathtub with massage, really big bathroom and a long balcony. Surprised by the quality.

Pillows. Should get better pillows. Everything was really good except the pillows!

Just about everything. The property has been described as 'old-fashioned'. I would suggest that 'timeless' might be more appropriate; lovely wooden panelling doesn't age. Our room was large and with a beautiful view over the town square and a bathroom with a large, corner Jacuzzi. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, though few spoke much English and my Italian (the first language of many of them) is completely non-existent. Nevertheless, with a bit of give and take - and quite a lot of laughter - all went well. The restaurant, which I may review separately, was superb.

The breakfasts were not buffets and were no more than adequate. Otherwise, a very few minor points, the principal of which would be the lack of a shaver point in the bathroom. Attention to one or two loose bathroom fittings would also do no harm, though everything worked.

the toilet is gorgeous, the nostalgia vibes bring me back to old times. I like the way the owner greet me even though we have language barrier, and both of them are such a wonderful person! owner is super helpful to the customer too, eg: providing guidance and information of local good visit places, that is what i like about this place ! Moreover, the breakfast is so good, we had a very full and yummy breakfast before departing to domodossola ! ☺️

Very convenient if you arrive at the train station, a walk along a cobbled street about ten minutes. Very dated and old fashioned hotel and no English spoken but friendly staff. The room we had was a spa room which was spacious and facing the pedestrian square. Some rooms would face the busy road and as there is no air conditioning if you want to sleep with fresh air you will need to have the windows open. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom dated but all worked. Plenty of storage space with two spots for suitcases. Well located to visit the castle and old town. Remarkably quiet for a major stop off point.

Great staff - super friendly , location perfect. We were going for a race and we were late to have breakfast so they gave us some fruit and water for the way 🫶

Nothing really- You can see it’s an old hotel and some improvements would look better but nothing that makes it impossible to stay

Nice room - spacious, large tub, plenty of room to sort luggage. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was good. Location was great - next to old castle in the old part of town. We sat in the old plaza in front of the hotel to have a glass of wine and people watch. The owner was very welcoming - nice to talk with him. Short walk to the train station.
