The hotel is surrounded by parks (its own park and another one near to the church). The atmosphere is charming, and the staff is welcoming and attentive. The breakfast was exceptional with fruit ripe to perfection. A perfect location: near to the town and train station, while being a bit far away. Warmly suggested to all couples passing by.

Everything was perfect, so this is merely as a note to foreigners. As this town is not within the main foreign touristic routes (and that's really a pity), most kitchens are open between 6 to 8 pm for dinner. This is something the tourist should consider if they want to experience the hotel restaurant, which atmosphere is quite charming.

What a beautiful facility with a real sense of history, run by the same person for forty years! The staff were so kind and upgraded us to the nicest suite because it was available. Super location right outside the city walls and very walkable without the hassle. I didn't realize they served meals and wish we had made a reservation for dinner that evening. Seemed to be a very popular spot with locals.

It is near the train tracks and if ambient noise bothers you, this could be an issue. With a sound machine and/or ear plugs, which we always travel with, it was no problem.

We loved this hotel. It is old and historic. It is located overlooking the city in a park like setting... helping to keep the temperatures cool on hot days. The view overlooking the city is awesome. The breakfasts were great. The hotel is just a short walk to the train station. I would stay at Park Villa again.

Super, super nice staff, can't hope for anything better. The hotel itself is 'oldschool cool' in the right way. So if you like sleek, bright business hotels? Not for you. If you like good old hospitality, and almost historic rooms? GO FOR IT. actually just booked a room for mid July again. Lovely might be the right word for this hotel. All the little touches, like fruit in the room, and a chocolate at check out? perfect hospitality

Amazing hosts and service, everyone was very friendly and helpful! The building itself is beautiful and interiors make you feel like you travelled back in time.

The hotel is right next to the train tracks, so it will be noisy at night. Earplugs highly recommended. Also there's no AC and summers in Switzerland are getting quite hot the last few years.

Room was quiet enough with windows closed. Superb bar area with great selection of drinks. Fantastic breakfast with delicious freshly squeezed orange juice. Limited free parking. Friendly staff. Short walk to town centre.

Room lacked air conditioning, sleeping with windows open resulted in intrusive noise from nearby railway and church.

The Hotel is elegant and old - 1900- and you feel like royalty when you walk in. The staff are so friendly and Max, the host and waiter, is eloquent and amazing. The room suite was perfect! The bed comfy and it had all the accouterments for relaxing. The breakfast was so delicious. They go the extra mile!

The trains were a bit screechy and loud - too bad because everything else was perfect!

The location was fairly close to the town centre. It was a lovely setting with a view towards town from the breakfast room and a park at the front. The room was decorated to a very high standard and had extras like fruit, hairdryer, good toiletries. The staff were friendly and helpful. For a non German speaker it was excellent to have information provided in English. The breakfast was amazing. It was lovely to have so much fresh fruit and everything was presented beautifully.

Only issue was the room was a little noisy due to its proximity to the railway but I slept fairly well despite of this. The hotel was so lovely this didn’t spoil our stay.

Beautiful building. Very nice terrace. Delicious breakfast. I had a very good sleep, super comfortable pillow. It’s nice and quiet at night.

I appreciate the old, classical style in the room and the building, but some slightly more modern renovation is about to be necessary. Having a shower in a bath tub with curtains is not from nowadays anymore. I am not super tall, but didn’t fit straight under the shower. I had to bend which is not great. I also strictly had no space to dry myself after the shower. I had to walk out of the bathroom. Breakfast is not suitable for when you have to go to work. It’s perfect for when you are on vacation and have the time to enjoy all the delicious things. But when you need to be at the office at 08:00 and checkingout that same morning, it’s a very tight breakfast time (waiting for coffee, waiting for bread, etc.). But again, if you have the time it’s perfect.

Everything was amazing. The staff were very friendly and lovely especially when I had no luggage for a few days asking and offering if I needed anything. The breakfast was just an amazing a mountain of food, the rooms are stylish. Location amazing I will be staying here again!

Adding a non slip Mat in the shower would be helpful other than that I loved everything else!
