A lovely swiss hotel well located next to the ViaRhona cycle path. It wasn't situated right in the centre of Ulrichen but was an easy walk away, quieter and a very good location for us (cycling the Rhone valley). We stayed in the annex which I had thought might not be as good as being in the hotel itself but it was lovely. Spacious and clean with a great bathroom. We also had a coffee machine/kettle which was nice. The hotel had a restaurant which was excellent. Breakfast was also generous and set us up for a day of cycling.

We didn't get much of a welcome when we arrived but it didn't matter and later on staff were friendly especially in the restaurant and at breakfast. Couldn't fault our room and I would recommend staying at Hotel Walser.

We stopped here to spend the night before going to Italy through the pass. It is beautifully made out of wood, has a comfy bed, and also has a small balcony. It was great for starting the trip through the pass. I think it is usually a hiker's or skier's hotel.

The receptionist was a bit grumpy :)

The host Andy & Alice and all the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was great size , clean and comfortable . Great little village and not far to drive south to Tasch. Or the train runs through as well.

Everything as advertised. Good location and room was good.. Owner was lovely and helpful.

Biggest let down for me was the young gentleman serving lunch. Rude and not friendly at all. Maybe he was having a bad day...

Just about everything about this hotel. Can't find a faulty. From the moment we walked in the door, we were made to feel welcome. The hotel is a credit to the owners. Thank you for such a great stay.

Nothing.

The Hotel Walser staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. From the moment we arrived we felt as if we were the exceptional guests receiving red-carpet treatment. Our dinner was delicious—the portions huge! The continental breakfast buffet was a pleasure. Great bread and great choices of bread and croissants. Also, fresh confiture and local honey and cheeses. Wonderful!

I found the mattress comfortable (my sensitive back didn't ache in the morning, yay!), but a bit too hot for my liking. I burned up in it. But that's totally on me and my preferences.
