The location is great, the room was clean and there was hot water. It's a love hotel but besides the porn channels and free condoms you won't notice it. The staff is nice. The breakfast is not that great but if nothing else you can eat toast with some peanut butter. Overall it's good value for the money.

There's a washing machine and a dryer that you can use for free but I wouldn't recommend it. We now have weird stains on a few of our clothes and the dryer doesn't really work. After 2 hours the clothes were still wet and we just went to a coin operated dryer nearby.

Overall, this hotel is great for the price. It is not flashy at all, and has some kooky decorations, but provided everything I needed for a place to rest while solo travelling. I felt totally safe as a woman travelling alone. The breakfast is also awesome and hearty - as an American I appreciated the opportunity to have scrambled eggs! (Although I did opt to try the congee and other more unfamiliar dishes to me and those were yummy too.) As others have mentioned, it is definitely a 'love motel', hence the hourly rate and the free condoms left for you in the room, but that honestly didn't impact my experience at all. If you don't care about luxury or aesthetic and are truly just looking for a bed and bathroom, this is a great option.

The bathroom is not dirty, but it is not as clean as I'm used to other hotel bathrooms being. The bathroom had some soap scum on the shelves and sink, but no hair or anything really concerning. There was also some dust buildup on the room shelves and window. The bedsheets were clean which is what's important to me, but know that the cleanliness might be more like staying at a friend's house than a typical hotel.

The hotel staff are some of the nicest I have ever met, They do everything they can to help, even with a language barrier, they will find a way to understand you and for you to understand them. The room itself was very comfortable and a good size, although I wasn't used to wet rooms for the bathroom, it was very simple.

I did find a few bugs crawling around, however, nowhere near enough to ruin my stay.

We always use this hotel. Great location, great staff, great air conditioning, just the property is a little tired is all. If they refreshed the property then they could probably triple the price point, but then I wouldn't be staying there anymore if they did that. If you want an expensive hotel then why stay in Hsinchu at all? Taipei has many more expensive hotels.

We arrived to find the electricals in the room broken with wires hanging out, I would have thought it was fine but we had young kids, so they immediately dispatched a maintenence person to jerry-rig it such that it is acceptable and less hazardous. Frankly I was surprised by the 24 hour maintenence service considering that we checked in quite late. See photos.

I just saw a coacroach also make breakfast early because like me a check in around 9pm and check out around 7am because I have something to do that’s why I check out early
