this is the biggest room ive ever stayed in taiwan with the affordable price! i just loved how everything is so new even the outside of the building was renovated. staff were nice, room was clean, bed is big!! and the location is so good just afew minutes far from Big City.

bed was just a little bit not comfortable but still acceptable and there were no hair conditioner which is essential for me but it was okay!

The Lakeshore Metropolis is still one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Due to so many people during Chinese New Year, they gave those going to breakfast a choice for breakfast time to try and cut down on the crowd. Rooms are super convenient, and the staff did a good job with my request for no housekeeping.

Staff in the past have been much friendlier than they were during this trip. Now, Chinese New Year may have had something to do with it, but I used to be greeted coming off the elevator, and even when the lobby was empty, there was no recognition. Also, the staff the work the breakfast buffet still don't say anything even you say something to them first.

Near the mall called BIG CITY and SOGO and also small restaurants outside.

AC(aircon) the first night I can sleep well because it's hot, but the following days, they control the AC temp. Even if I try to low the temp, they are still back to the temp.that they control. So I decided to open the window even to make me sleep well, even though I heard the noise outside like car and motor bikes. Overall, the hotel is good. The only thing is it should be the guest who controls the AC(AIR CONDITION).

location was good and near a very big shopping mall, plenty to eat nearby. Room was clean and comfortable. We took a short taxi ride from train station to hotel , 10min and was quite easy to locate the hotel.

a little traffic issue with so many cars going to the mall on the weekend, we had to wait a while for taxi to drop us off.

After 4 years of being away, the Lakeshore Metropolis is still one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in--and I've stayed in hotels in over 15 countries around the world. The staff is the highlight of this hotel. They are super friendly and always eager to be of service, especially the front desk employees. I will always stay here in Hsinchu when looking for a place.

The employees at the front desk are absolutely fantastic! Would like to see the employees who working the dining area be as friendly and helpful.

Room is spacious and very comfy. We spent 6 nights there and parked our scooter at their car park which was very handy. 5 mins walk to Big City Shooping Centre, pharmacy and convenience store right across the hotel, great location.

Some of the night the room was too warm for us to sleep through, we called reception and they said it is central controlled air con system so we couldn't really do somehting about it only to turn the air con off which was even worse, felt like not enough air was there. Anyway we turned it on again and slept without cover. Hopefully it will allow cooling system on during winter in the furture.

The gym/massage chairs. Nice to have a free tea/coffee break out area in the basement, plus the free laundry facilities. Comfortable room and bathroom.

The location was great, we were impressed by the staff, very international and able to adjust to the language and cultural needs.

No spa or wellness center, the hotel seems to focus on business travelers. The lighting in the room could be brighter for the comfort of remote working, also the bathroom could use a bit of an upgrade. (bathtub tile, sink)

Their location is no need to mention: pretty good. Their breakfast is strongly connected that city. A lot of natural grain cereals, quinoa, black sesame, linseed and so on. That is easily to find Taiwanese candied and tofu pudding. You guys in Hsin-Chu city should give it a try, feeling the local culture through the foods there.

The room space is very spacious. And the location is quite convenient. The staff of the hotel are very helpful.

Even though we closed all the windows in the room, we still could hear the traffic sound outside at night. A bit disturbed while sleeping.
