A solid Hotel with pleasant helpful staff. Family room was big with view of the sea. TV, wifi and aircon worked well. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was in a lovely big room with a lot of variety and even soya milk. Basement car parking great. Lift went down to basement level and was pretty quick. Easy to find on google maps and location perfect for us as only a few minutes (3 mins) walk to a good bar (Salt Lick), choices of restaurants, 7-Eleven next door, Dongdamen Night Market with so many choices of street food only 7 - 10min easy walk. Having a separate toilet with its own sink was great.

Towels were old, thin and fraying. Flooring needs repairs. Soap for the sinks both for the bathroom and the toilet room would be lovely, had to go into the shower to get some liquid soap each time to wash our hands. Shower took forever to heat up but the bath had virtually instant hot water. All in all minor matters but for the money we paid for the night (AUD$330), you would expect not to experience any of these issues.

-Excellent service throughout from all staff members especially a male front desk staff member who fluently speaks English. He was exceptional. -Good location, not far from train station, bus stop for 310 (Tourist Shuttle Bus), night markets and shopping area in walking distance -Comfortable and spacious bedroom/bathroom -Great breakfast. Services from the restaurant was great too.

A hand soap by the sink in the room would be nice.

I was in Hualien one night for a business visit and decided to give this hotel a try as the new Le Meridien I was hoping for would not open until January 2024 and I am glad I made the right choice! This is a simple local hotel located in the center of downtown with great facilities and super comfortable guestrooms - I now understand why the hotel review received many positive feedback. Location of the hotel is also within short walking distance the famous Dongdamen Night Market (2 blocks away). People at front desk reception need a little bit training but my local language fluency help ease the communication issue. I was assigned to a comfortable, modern and spacious room with everything laid out nicely. A few nice little touches I was surprised to see (e.g. a bidet) in a local hotel at a lesser popular city in Taiwan. Overall the interior is great. My only issue is the bed is a bit too hard for me otherwise everything else is fine. Breakfast is served on the first floor in a huge dining space with plenty of food item choices. Boy was I surprised to see so many tourists from Southeast Asia! Guess this hotel is popular among tourists. To sum up, this hotel is absolutely a pleasant find. It does cater to tourists but it is also suitable for short business trip purpose. Most importantly, this hotel is very reasonably priced considering its location and facilities. I am planning to use Le Meridien for my future trip but if the price is too high, I would be more than happy to return to this nice local hotel.

The bed is very hard so a little bit uncomfortable to sleep on. Front desk staff was courteous but needs a bit more training.

We requested a baby cot, they also provided a baby bath which was very nice

Anything that we would need was prepared. The room was very large, we rested well so extended our stay by 1 more day. The breakfast could have some variety. Some food except for pork and we missed a hand soap in the room.

Mostly comfortable, spacious There was a group of maybe 100 students that checked in on the same day as me, I could hear them loudly in the corridor but much less in the room so the sound proofing was good.

Toiletries weren't provided in the room. Breakfast had limited options - there were no sweet options, only savory and the food ran out but wasn't replenished. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable

Great location, short walking distance form the night market. The breakfast is good, although a bit limited in choice for westerners. It would be great to have some complimentary drinking water in the room

Located in the centre of city and walking distance to the night market. For its price it's a lot better and fancier than expected. The room is massive, new, clean, modern and comfortable. Lots of breakfast food options. Underground carpark so a lot more convenient and you can just walk around the city without worrying about parking.

Near to many eateries and shopping, yet at a quiet and peaceful corner. Local market just round the corner, wonderful.for exploring and enjoying the local scene. Good sound proofing in rooms, toilet and shower separate a big plus. Housekeeping staff excellent.

Gym was a little small. There is no safe in the room.

Everything, what a nice hotel, rooms are great and so are the staff who go above and beyond, good bfast spread, fairly close to the night Market
