The lobby offers free iced tea, hot tea, and coffee. For a hotel at this price point, the breakfast was surprisingly good. The seating area in the lobby doubles as the breakfast area, but it’s also available for guests to relax—though the lighting is a bit dim. It was raining heavily on the day I stayed, and a friend came to visit, so it was very convenient for us to sit and chat in the lobby. The room is a bit small, similar to hotels in Japan, but it has everything you need and is quite clean. Extra blankets and pillows are provided, which is very convenient for families traveling with children.

1.The lack of on-site parking is a drawback. Although there’s a free partner parking lot about a five-minute walk away, it becomes quite inconvenient on rainy days. 2. One of the front desk staff should be mindful that their breath had a noticeable food odor. 3. When I made the reservation, it clearly stated that it included breakfast for two adults and one child. However, at the front desk, I was told that only two breakfasts were included and the third had to be purchased separately. This significantly lowered my impression of the hotel.

The best thing about this hotel was the staff. One staff member (Una) was amazing, and helped us to arrange a tour to Gaomei Wetlands with a cheerful driver at a very reasonable price. She always helped us with a smile, and would write destinations down for us in Mandarin so that we could show taxi or bus drivers. There were two larger roads nearby that had multiple buses along them, which made travelling around Taichung quite easy. Otherwise, the immediate area around the hotel was great - a short stroll to shops and restaurants, and a comfortable walk to the Botanical Gardens (which had a cool glass house) and a large science museum. The buffet breakfast (which we had included) was very good, with some vegetarian options. Overall, the hotel was very good value for money. It is not a luxury hotel, but you certainly get good value for the price.

My only criticism is that the room and bathroom were quite small. We were 3 guests staying in a Deluxe Quadruple Room (2 double beds). The room was clean, but small with all of our luggage. The bathroom was small, and we had a "shower over the bath". The step up into the bath was quite high, so might not be suitable for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. The beds were ok, but my son is tall and did not quite fit vertically in the double bed.

We only stayed for a nice, but rooms were spacious and large. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Location is good, as its close to a lot of malls, restaurants, convenience stores and bus lines that go around the city. Hotel staff was great and stored our bags for us the day we checked out while we were still exploring.

We used the hotel gym and there was no working AC, so it gets pretty hot. We also did laundry on site - its completely free and open 24/7 - but the dryer is horrible. We had our clothes in there for 2 hours and they were still pretty wet. We asked the hotel about it and they told us its an eco-friendly dryer so it works different, so just an FYI if you are planning to wash clothes. You're better off drying them overnight in the closet in the room.

Room was very clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast spread was simple yet complete, you have things from congee, western, asian to fresh fruits. Coffee, tea, milk, soy milk, fruit juices were served as well. It was awesome considering we were travelling with young children. They enjoyed the breakfast and stay as much as we did. Free flow drinks and black coffee was available at the concierge area throughout the day. Location was convenient. Very near the bus stop and also it's easy to get on and off taxi in front of the hotel.

The place was convinient. There is hot beverages 24/7 available at a common area you can work at which is handy. The hotel was clean.

The gym can be maintained better. I guess the infrequent usage made it not a priority for the hotel.

Good value for the money, clean and bright rooms. Good location.

The breakfast room is small, but not super small. They don't want people to wait, but this also means that you have to choose an exact time when do you want to have the breakfast from the offered alternatives. The alternatives are not always comfortable.

Staff is very friendly, car parking is very limited onsite but the hotel took care of all the parking tickets from on street parking for us.

Sound proofing of rooms is poor, in room 201 there is loud banging sounded like pipe knocking or moving trolley intermittently, fortunately not heard it between 12am to 7am. Breakfast is average

The location is good, and the room is clean and tidy. Enough space for two big luggages to open at the same time. The room is bright, and serve very good breakfast with lots of variety.

The bath tub. The tub is so high and it’s quite dangerous to enter and exit, not recommend for elderly and short individual.

The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was superb! The room was very nice. (the view not so much, but who cares) The bed was very comfortable. The location was good.

Getting warm water in the bathroom took a few minutes every time. That is not very sustainable, unfortunately.

Room was clean and room size sufficient. Breakfast had a nice variety with good selection of greens at the salad bar, which I enjoyed. Within walking distance to the main shopping strip in Taichung, with lots of food options.

Had to walk abit to the allocated parking lot. Bathroom was a little lacking on the upkeep, but otherwise alright. Small boutique hotel type of feel, which is alright for a layover stay.
