Super clean and modern room, love the washing machine in the room!

It's true what previous reviewers have said about the smell. I did get used to it after being in the room for a bit but it is definitely there and much worse in the bathroom. Getting there as a non-Chinese speaker was also an absolute nightmare: there are no signs or indication where this place is, and I didn't realise when booking that it is an apartment, not a hotel. I spent ages first trying to figure out where the place is and how to get in, and even after finally managing to contact the owner, they kept sending me the same instructions in Chinese which I wasn't able to translate. There was also a planned blackout of electricity in the middle of the day, of which the owner informed me five minutes before it started, which was a bit of a problem that I was informed so late.

The overall location and the floor's balcony (with its view) were great. We booked this apartment mainly because of the washer/dryer which worked perfectly for us, even though we only stayed one night. A bus stopped right in front of the building and it was super easy to just grab a uBike since it doesn't take long to get anywhere from there.

We didn't want to cook or use the kitchen sink but there was nothing to use it with. No plates or pots and no kitchen soap or kitchen towels. It would make sense to provide those things. Also, if you don't have LinePay (my phone wouldn't let me install it) you need to provide cash and figure out a timing with the owner to hand it over. I would also recommend an extra towel for washing hands and a bath mat for getting out of the shower.

The room is very spacious and comfortable. It has a lot of amenities, including a washing machine, a hot plate and a fridge, although we didn't use any of those. There is also a nice shared balcony. The bathroom is great, mostly thanks to those wonderful Japanese toilets which will keep you warm. This place is located at a walking distance from many tourist areas, although it is generally a bit hard to visit everything by foot in Tainan.

There was a disturbing strong smell in the room, which really ruined the experience for me, although my partner didn't mind it. The place looked very clean, so I don't know what it was. We also didn't really meet anyone from the property and the checkout procedure was unclear.

The view from the terrace is outstanding! Our room was really comfortable, the washing machine was very convenient (detergent was also available). More like a small studio than a room, enough even for a few nights for a couple.

I love the washing machine in the room, plus the view from the balcony was really great. The AC was good, it cooled down the room really fast.

The toilet was kinda smelly. If I left the toilet's door open for a whole day, the smell affected the whole room too, so I always have to close its door.

entrance is next to a KTV. every time when I go back home, people/ staff from KTV starring at me or even asked me where am I going. the lift is old and smelly (with cigarette smell). but it’s acceptable for me. nothing wrong with the apartment.

There was 4 of us and the room was enormous and very spacious. It was also very clean and well equipped.

The only small problem that we had was, that the bathroom was a litlle smelly during the night.

Download Line app to communicate with owner. Helped us check in and was responsive on our arrival to Tainan. Comfy bed, clean room, washing machine, fridge, TV and balcony with river views. Similar to AirBnB, not a hostel.

It was in a good location and room was small but nicely taken care of. Really liked the shared balcony.

location is outstanding. the canal, the “River Happiness” plaza, and the great eatery area can be all reached by 2-10mins walk.
