The staff went out of their way to please the customers. There is free shuttle from the train station which needs to be booked in advance. The breakfast spread is geared towards the local palette which means a variety of carbs (fried rice, porridge, noodles or mifen) but there are plenty of side dishes and toppings to go with. There is no on site kitchen but there is a well stocked vending machine selling a variety of instant noodles. The canteen also leaves their bread, juices and coffee machine out the whole day and guests can help themselves anytime of the day. It's situated next to a large sized seaside park with nearby restaurants and a night market round the corner every Sunday. There is a great view all around and allow guests to look out to the ocean easily.

Property is located at the NE corner of Taitung city which means going to the center is a bit of a walk (2km away). Therefore one may need to know how to use local ride-hailing app. I was informed Uber doesn't work so you may need to register Line Go which requires understanding of written Chinese language. The facilities are well maintained but frayed around the edges - mold spots in the corner, torn wallpaper, etc. There closest 7-11 is about 10 minutes walk away and there are no supermarkets nearby although there are quite a few good restaurants especially near the park entrance.

The room is quite spacious and we had nice view of the sea with sunrise. Hotel provides bicycles which are very useful for exploring the parks nearby. Breakfast is good. There are 2 washing machines and a dryer for use by the guests. I wish there'd be more because sometimes the Q for the machines is quite long. I finished my laundry at almost 11pm.

Bicycles are quite old and some need maintenance. Shuttle service to the train station starts at 9am, which is considered quite late as some trains depart early.

- Cleaning of the rooms can be more thorough. I found one toenail clipping next to my bed in a hidden corner, which detracted from my guest experience. If the hotel staff do a deep cleaning of the rooms, this will enhance the overall guest experience - The hotel can consider adding a small children's playroom, in order to make the hotel more child friendly.

As a Westerner we found the breakfast a struggle. However, if you like Asian food, there was so much choice

Big spacious property and room. Shower was great! Lovely view from our bed of the mountains. Quiet room with no street noise. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of Asian choices and some western food. Free bikes at the hotel were great but they needed some TLC as the chains were rusted and the breaks squeaked. Location is great for the views and so close to the Forrest. Everything else was still in walking distance so easy to go and find food.

This was a very nice hotel on the periphery of the town - about 30 minutes to walk to the night market. There were bikes available for free to cycle along the coast or do the circuit around town - start at the old station. The room had a great view and the shower and Wifi worked well. Breakfast was good.

Overall, it was a great stay. The staff were friendly. Bike borrowing program is great but some of the bikes can use a bit of maintenance. Breakfast was well prepared. The only complaint that I had was the bathroom. The shower area can use a bit more cleaning as there were moldy spots.

Walking distance to the beach. Free rental of bicycles to explore the vicinity. Simple but sufficient breakfast. Very spacious and clean room.

It's a walk to most restaurants, but if you happened to visit on a Sunday, the weekly night market is just a couple of mins' walk. =)

Staff were friendly, room comfortable with good view and breakfast good. The underground parking was very useful. Although on the edge of town it was close to a delightful park and bicycles were available from the hotel for exploring.
