After a short trip to Zanzibar we returned to Colosseum Hotel ,apart from being in a good location away from central Dar Es Saleem it was great value for money . The service was terrific and all staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful .Haniff , manager of reception area was efficient and organised all we needed , luggage storage , airport transport , without any bother . Also had a great sense of humour ! The eating areas had restaurant and outdoor bar eating area . Food was good . Rooms clean and comfortable ( fantastic shower 🧼) Recommend staying here when in Dar Es Saleem . As was final place for us before leaving Tanzania 🇹🇿 it added to our wonderful memories of the friendly Tanzanian people ❤️

The Colosseum is a wonderful place to stay. From the moment you step in, the staff are welcoming and helpful. The facilities are excellent and very good value for money. I cannot recommend highly enough! We will definitely stay there again when we next visit.

One of the AC units in our rooms stopped working but the staff were very quick to change rooms. Very helpful indeed.

The staff was very kind and accommodating of my many requests. In particular I appreciated that they were always available to help me find a taxi service, and my local colleague confirmed that their taxi connections were very affordable. I also really liked being able to access the gym. The breakfast was excellent and always had high-quality fruit - which I would expect but do not always receive in similar climates.

I did not like the design of the room very well - especially the bathroom layout. Mirrors and lights were clearly not planned for women who desire to apply makeup, and the location of the wardrobe was a bit awkward. The room still served all my needs and was perfectly functional, but it was not "top".

Staff were wonderful. The restaurant was excellent. The gym and pool are very nice quality. The spa is amazing as well. The woman who operates it is Balinese and gives a good experience. Overall, the hotel is a very good choice when staying in Dar.

Rooms are a bit dated. You can easily find places that are as good or better rooms for more than half the price.

I had a wonderful stay at the Colosseum. It was my second time staying here so I knew what to expect. Even though my stay was 6 months ago, even ther personal remembered my face and gave me a warm welcome. I arrived at my hotel a bit earlier than planned and I was even able to checkin earlier without paying extra. If you like to do sports like me, you have a nice gym at the hotel and you can also go running along the ocean jist 1km away from the hotel.

Nothing to complain.

Location was perfect as my friends had just moved to the city of Dar a week before and were still finding their wah around the city. It turns out that the hotel was leass than a mile from their new apartment

The reception area was a bit too simple for such a beautiful property. The absence of a hotel pool / hot tub was evident. A roof top restaurant would be a perfect addition

Very nice gym, good staff, good breakfast. In general my favorite option to stay in this area.

They closed the restaurant one evening for private celebrations when I wanted to eat there with a friend. But only one evening. On a multi day stay, they took advantage of "on demand pricing" and increased my rate. I had only booked the first night. But of course it is their right to increase room price when I dont lock in my price by booking the full stay beforehand. The pool is being renovated and was not usable.

Breakfast was outstanding - different each day Gym is phenomenal - excellent variety of equipment for any time of training you need. Dry and wet sauna included

I would change up the music near the elevators so its not the same song over and over.

Nice hotel, smooth check in, clean and big rooms, good location, professional reception. Good value for the money.

The breakfast was under average for the level of hotel itself. Half an hour before closing there were missing basics like bread and butter, when I asked they said they don't have anymore.

Very good location in a quiter side of the city and in the vicinity of good restaurants and entertainment places.

The hotel could do with a wider selection of food at breakfast.
