It was our first visit to Dar, and we got a good introduction. The location is not at all touristy, but is not far from some nice spots around Oyster Bay. The food was good and plentiful. Staff were very helpful, including giving us tips on places to go with kids. The room was quite nice, and, though normally we might have gone without, having A/C was very helpful while we were there - it was hot!

There is not much for tourists to walk to in the immediate area, though transport was inexpensive and easy to find. The location above a bar (while staying with children) could be an issue on weekends, but early in the week when we were there it was not too loud and we had no problems.

I can't recommend this place enough. I stayed 10 nights, was looking for something comfortable and good quality price and this place exceed all my expectations. You won't find ultra luxury here, but it's a very cozy and welcoming home with everything you need. Definitely worth paying the little extra and get the room upgrade if you're staying for some time. The room is huge, with beautiful traditional wood furniture, a comfortable bed, lots of pillows, a wardrobe, and desk. A lot of light and super clean. Bathroom has hot water and good pressure shower and is cleaned every day. The breakfast is delicious with fresh fruits and pressed juice. The bar downstairs is lively with good live music and pool tables. The hotel stays in the perfect location to access a lot of attraction points, 15min from city center, 5min from coco Beach, close to a lot of bars and restaurants. You also have all services walking distance (ATM, multiple restaurants, several bars, many pharmacies, supermarkets, souvenir shops, etc). The location is safe and Q-bar staff makes sure you are always helped when you need, they inclusively escorted me to the supermarket the first day I arrived, and opened the kitchen to give me rice at 2am when my phone got water. From a person that did A LOT of research and likes a good value for money, I REALLY recommend you choose this place. I had my best stay in Dar and will definitely come back!

The breakfast was good, and it all starts with good Staff members in that department. I believe the Breakfast Head Chef and Team were doing a great job during my stay there!

I did not like like the fact that The hotel allows the guests to smoke in public area especially during breakfast time while the non-smoking guests are taking their breakfast. It’d be helpful and better to make this General breakfast area, a non- smoking area and probably create a specific place for smokers. Otherwise this can ruin some guests’ breakfast time and breathing.

The staff were good. Housekeeping is reliable. Great location in Oyster Bar near to Coco Beach and nightlife. Bar downstairs with affordable food and drinks. Good for meeting new people.

The breakfast menu says it is available until 10:30 but when I arrived for breakfast on my last day at 10:05 I was advised by the lady that I was too late, although she did end up serving me a partial breakfast. I also had a friend who lives elsewhere but often goes there to buy breakfast but he was told by the lady that it is no longer possible. I've no idea why. The bar downstairs attracts some women of the night. This may be a good or bad thing depending on what you are interested in.

The location was ideal. Close to shops, other bars and the beach. Room was a perfect size with comfortable king size bed, mosquito nets, cupboard with safe, study desk and lots of windows making it light and bright. Great having the bar down stairs to enjoy music, sports and a drink. The breakfast room was also a lovley spot to meet in the morning or have casual meetings any other time. A really warm and friendy place would stay again

Bathroom was a little small Stairs in the building are odd sizes and quite dangerous The bar music does get loud at night but was expecting this

The location very good, their breakfast enough and fresh, the staff very welcoming. To exchange money there are 24hours service. The location for nightlife is good, under the hotel there is a bar and restaurant, the restaurant opens till late and they have programs do, karaoke and live music

The staff at this guest house is exceptionally helpful. The room was comfortable in terms of its size. The breakfast is also very good. At the Q-Bar Bar area, one can also enjoy really good food. The WiFi is really fast, especially if you need to work remotely, even if you want to access your favourite streaming services. This is really good value for money when you travel on a tight budget.

The mattress and bed linen are old and due for replacement. There is also clearly a lack of towels as when I arrived there was only one towel, and I had to request additional towels, but even these need replacement as these have been washed just too many times.

I liked the area, but room 12 was sweltering, the AC did not work well, the internet was on and off, and you couldn't talk over and be heard very well. The cleanliness is acceptable; however, it will be good if they provide maintenance in the bathroom that is in room 12.

I like the guys who work at the reception and the people who prepare breakfast. The area has security, and it was much easier for me to walk outside in comfort. The kitchen people are friendly and more responsive when you need anything.

It's my go to place in Dar.Great value for money and staff are excellent 👌

The situation with the electricity can get a bit frustrating with the change over to the generator. I wish for long term residents some access to the kitchen would be great 😃

The people were very helpful and kind. I loved the breakfast with the fresh fruit, juice and eggs how I prefer them. The service was so sweet and friendly, great! Also the tideness of the room was very good and the bed comfortable and nicely done linnen. I enjoyed having a desk in my room to do some work. The internet was reliable at any time. A basic place but well loocked after.

The only disadvantage was the close location of my room 8 to the lounge. Due to the WM going on the TV was running all day and night and made a constant noise. Also one night other guests continued drinking and talking until 6.00am in the lounge (drinks selfservice from the fridge nearby). From Thursday to Sunday the bar below my window had live music until 3.00am in the morning and very, very loud.
