We hit the jackpot with this resort which is beautifully laid out with lush green gardens, multiple sparkling clean pools and excellent facilities. The rooms are large, comfortable well appointed. The meals were plentiful, varied and delicious with lots of vegetarian options. The staff are friendly, and go over and above to ensure guests every need are meet. The beach felt safe and clean and we did not see any sea urchins. It was a real bonus to be entertained by the family of rare Colobus monkeys.

As a cat lover I found the large number of stray cats in Zanzibar, in general as well as at this resort, to be heartbreaking. They are a threat to native wildlife and it is pitiful to see the poor hungry cats and kittens everywhere. Can something humane be done, like mass sterilization campaigns, to control their numbers?

It was a true pleasure staying at Reef & Beach Spa Jambiani. The front staff was very kind and helpful, greeted us with warm smile, made us very happy from the beginning of the day we arrived. The room was tidy and clean. We had a problem with our shower one time, but when we talked it with reception, the maintanence team promptly dealt with the problem. The food was really delicious too !

Some of the staffs and the guys from Masai show called us China whenever they see us, and it was a bit irritating lol The food was good, but the drinks, especially cocktails were a bit below expectation. Jambinani area is quite far from the airport and port, so you need about 2 hours to travel to this resort, and the taxi took about 60 dollors. But definately, I want to visit this plan again.

The Jetty was my favourite spot to swim, relax, drink and have shisha, as well as reading. The animation team do an amazing job every night with the entertainment. The drinks are great.

Mattress

A tranquil, beautiful and relaxing stay at Reef and Beach Resort Hotel in Jambiani. The amenities, the surroundings and the amazing staff exceeded our expectations. Our first visit to Zanzibar and we were greeted with warm, welcoming hospitality by all staff at the resort. A big thank you to Mohammed(Reception), Ali (Reception), Saeed (Reception), Mohammed (Food and Beverage Manager), Hazlah (Waiting staff), Nawapenda our wonderful (Room Attendant) and Thomas (Security). Our room was large and spacious with a huge bathroom and lovley decor. We booked the front Ocean Swim Up Room (Room 840), which had beautiful sunrise and sunset views. AC in the room was great. Water was provided daily and replenished. The hotel all inclusive food and drinks were delicious and plenty of choice. Can not fault it. Variety of restaurants to dine in. We hired a car and there is free parking onsite.

Food not really up to standard . We struggled to find something to eat . Meats all tough and not cooked well , curries were ok . Grills either dried out or not cooked well . Indian restaurant had better food. But again not prepared by someone with Indian cuisine background. Simple things like naan’s , Indian desserts , starters not made properly or even representative of what is should be. Staff very helpful but if one spends like seven days there becomes an issue as struggle to find something to eat . There are many options available just not made well .

Where the forest meet the Ocean 😍, Reef&Beach Resort is a little Paradise on Earth. The all inclusive was a great deal! The food was on the top 🍉🍍🥐🍗🥞🍕🍟🧁, a lot of varieties. I enjoyed the red monkeys coming everyday on my terrace. The white sand and the sea offering a beautiful scenery, and bringing an instant peace of mind&soul.

What an awesome resort. The staff were superb, just so friendly and welcoming. This is truly the place to go if you want to experience high levels of hospitality. The resort is overall beautiful, just so relaxing, and absolute value for money.

The pool closes too early. They should at least let guest swim until 10/11pm, sun is too hot during the day for some of us to swim.

The property had one of the most most amazing beaches I’ve ever seen. Crystal clear water, nice sand and even with the low tide it was special to be at the beach as it was just amazing. I’d come back at any time and it is really worth the money. + Jetty bar is amazing!

Food was below average, Italian restaurant is ok but nothing special, it’s a pity, if this resort has good food it must be one of the best. But the food is also not bad, something in the middle, anyway I recommend the resort.
