We had an amazing time at Savera Beach Houses in Jambiani. The location is simply breathtaking – right on the beach, with stunning turquoise waters and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The property is beautifully maintained, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive, always making sure everything was perfect during our stay. The food was delicious, and enjoying breakfast with a view of the ocean was a highlight of our trip. If you’re looking for a serene and beautiful spot to unwind in Jambiani, Savera Beach Houses is the perfect choice. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

SAVERA BEACH COTTAGES The whitest sand beach in Africa. Super kind staff. Sunrise from your lanai. Breakfast on your lanai. Charming room - no A/C, but fan and no mosquitos !! Great bathroom, sink, shower, towels. Super happy hour in bar that makes no noise after dinner time and where you can dine weekdays. Candy colored turquoise warm water . Nice quiet honeymoon type guests. All units face directly the ocean. It's the quiet tasteful peaceful resort you dream of - and are usually let down somehow. Inexpensive menus. Sailing in dhows available. Local caves etc excursions. Children interestingly segregated. Small place so few other people there. Nice friedly comfortable atmosphere. You can be left alone if desired. Transport available. Uncrowded Beach. Virtually no hype on beach. Efficient frequent housekeeping. A wonderful surprize If you don't like the dinner there is a homey little local eatery behind the cottages. Just check it out.

No A/C but not a problem for me

This is place was so much more then we expected. The bungalows are beautifully located at the beach with modern and clean facilities. The view was spectacular and the service exceptional. They greeted us with our names and made the stay feel very personal. We had a private bungalow with its own private little roof terrace with view. The breakfast was brought directly to your own little housefront with view on the ocean. Overall 10/10!

There is really nothing I can complain about. Maybe that it is not too easy to find. But, honestly, if you come by taxi you'll anyways won't have to worry about it.

If laid back shoe-less paradise is your thing, look no further :) Stunning location, long, beautiful powdery white sand beach, it wasn't too busy with tourists when I visited, not too many beach boys either. Many local restaurants within walking distance. A handful of well maintained bungalows directly on the sand, seafront, the rooms had all that was needed. Friendly, professional non intrusive staff and good food at the restaurant, menu changing daily insuring freshness and quality. I felt like home at Savera, I highly recommended it and will surely be back.

Everything was great

Savera was 10/10!! We booked the beach front bungalow, and it was absolutely amazing! This boutique hotel only has 8 rooms, and 4 of them are beach front, so make sure you book one of them. The whole property is sandy, beautiful and has a really cool beach vibe. Their staff is everything, we felt at home during the whole stay, everyone has a smile for you at all times. Stela welcomed us with fresh fruit juice and Deo showed us everything we needed to know. Their restaurant is very little, but very good! John & Rama were really friendly and respectful at all times. Always playing nice music too. The beach is at your footstep! And basically, we had it to ourselves. We left early on the last day, so we missed breakfast, but they packed it for us to have it on the way. Very nice of them! Big thanks to everyone, and specially to Deo, the manager, who was always reachable for anything we needed. If you are looking for peace & quiet, this is the place. We had a very beautiful & relaxing stay.

The property is absolutely beautiful, it is directly on the beach and the view every morning is absolute paradise! The staff are amazing and really look after you, they really made the effort to get to know you so the service felt very personal. Special shout out to John for his great service 😊 The breakfast choice is great and served every morning on your balcony, the restaurant is lovely and the food and cocktails were delicious. We also really liked just having a running tab and being able to settle up at the end of our stay.

We hadn’t realised that the property didn’t have air conditioning, there is a fan above the bed however the room can get very hot. This wouldn’t stop us from staying again as everything else was perfect and there was a nice sea breeze on the balcony, just a little feedback for the future

The rooms were very big and the bed was huge. We liked the breakfast on the balcony, and the restaurant served great food in the evenings. Christmas Eve was beautifully organised by the staff and was a pleasure.

The power went off many times during the day and night, which resulted in the fan turning itself off and not back on again (woke us up in the night). The outside shower was a nice thought, however, not usable, as you could see inside from the neighbouring facility. Asked for one particular staff member to help me out with en enquiry , been told she will come to the room and she never came (twice/ on 2 separate days).

This place truly is amazing, located directly at the beautiful beach with powder white sand and coconut palms. The Bungalows are nicely decorated, very comfortable with your own terrace where breakfast is served. There is also a nice pool with great view, where you can refresh in case of low tide. In addition the restaurant serves exceptional good food and drinks and each day there is a changing menu. What makes this place even better is the amazing staff. Everyone is so welcoming, nice and helpful. We enjoyed every second at Savera Beach Houses and would definitely come again. Asante sana.

nothing, it's all just perfect

- Rooms seemed really clean and cared for, the water in front of the porch was changed daily - No problems with hot water + absolutely minimal troubles with electricity (the longest outage was about a minute) - Right on the beach (you can basically fall out of the bed and land on the beach) + staff literally combed the beach every morning - Extremely friendly staff and management - Great wifi - Safe bolted to the wardrobe - Unlimited supply of water from the barrel, so you knew it was safe and didn't have to bother buying bottled water all the time - Breakfast had limited choices, but the daily fruit and fresh juice were a brilliant touch - Seaweed on the beach was cleaned daily - Mosquito nets and bars on all windows! - A pretty great looking infinity pool in case you wanna take a dip - As long as you were on the hotel sunbeds, you were pretty much safe from all the traders, guides and captains (once you're on the beach, it's an open hunt though - that's a Zanzibar thing though, not the hotel's fault at all)

- The ceiling fan was located right above the bed, which made it impossible to use during the night or relaxation - Most staff didn't really speak English (however, they made their best effort to communicate + the manager and the second in command were usually around when something needed to be arranged and they spoke Eng really well) - Not a great place to take a swim in the sea - we had a massive differences in low and high tide, but during the high tide, there were loads of jellyfish (small blue ones, but still stings - we received no prior warning about them) ... low tides meant no sea basically, as the seaweed farms got uncovered and the water receded by about 600-1000m away from the beach (both + and - )

We stayed at four different hotels in Zanzibar at the same or higher price point, and Savera Beach Houses was our overall favorite. Unfortunately, this was the first place we stayed, and none of the subsequent hotels could meet the same expectations. 1) Location The location was perfect. We loved the beach, which was better than the crowded Paje and cleaner than Bwejuu. We had a car, so we could easily with a 10 min ride drive and explore Paje and surrounding areas. People who recommend the hotels in the north (Nungwi / Kendwa), clearly did not visit the Savera Beach Houses. 2) Service The level of care we received was exceptional. It wasn't superficial or aimed at getting a bigger tip; they genuinely valued us as guests. Imagine a place where you feel alone yet always have someone available at your fingertips. In most other places on the island, the staff felt overwhelming—either too many waiters around or lacking professionalism. The team at Savera Beach Houses struck the perfect balance. 3) Houses The houses were designed perfectly. They offered privacy and safety while being open to the surrounding nature. 4) Food As vegans, we found it challenging to find suitable options on the island. However, the kitchen provided us with a personalized, vegan-friendly breakfast. They even created local dishes that are naturally vegan, which was a highlight for us. We appreciated their effort and the quality of the food they served. Huge kudos to the management and owner. Though they were 'invisible' behind the scenes, their effort and passion were palpable, making guests' holidays truly unforgettable. True leading by example.

As vegans, we were very happy with our experience. This was our second favorite place for vegan options. We would definitely return and stay longer. As a suggestion, it would be even better if vegan dishes were labeled by default for both breakfast and dinner. The local cuisine naturally offers many vegan dishes. Which we might have not experienced, if not especially asked, as it was not stated on the menu.
