The hotel ran like a well-oiled machine, and much of that credit goes to Mr. Ali, who ensured everything flowed smoothly behind the scenes. The ever-smiling Ms. Esther and Ms. Martha were a joy to interact with, always thoughtful, cheerful, and attentive at every meal. Ms. Grace worked tirelessly to make sure every guest felt seen and cared for, while Mr. Hassan and Mr. Abdul were consistently attentive and kind, making sure no detail was overlooked. And of course, Mr. Ahmed, the owner, sets the tone for this wonderful space—his warm welcome and dedication to making guests feel at home was deeply felt and appreciated. Beyond the incredible service, Ha Beach Hotel boasts stunning sea views and a calming ambiance that truly feels like paradise. Whether you're watching the waves roll in or enjoying a quiet meal under the stars, this is a place that invites you to relax, recharge, and feel completely at ease. I cannot recommend Ha Beach Hotel enough. It’s more than just a hotel—it’s a heartfelt experience you’ll always carry with you.

HA had everything I was looking for. I was traveling alone and as a woman I felt safe and comfortable there. It was in a beautiful location and you could walk or take a quick taxi to local shops and restaurants in town, but it also was a little bit away from the center of town so the beachfront wasn’t crazy and I could really relax on the private beach. The design was tasteful and there were always beach loungers available - they seem to own several adjoining properties so if the loungers at the restaurant were full a quick walk down the beach would bring you to another private beach with loungers. Grace (“that blonde woman”…an inside joke…) and the rest of the staff were absolutely wonderful and I wish I could have stayed longer to hang out with them! I was not looking for a crazy party scene, but also I didn’t want to be somewhere that was completely dead either. HA was perfect for me and I hope I can go back some day!

Beautiful hotel with simple but good rooms. Very serene and private atmosphere. Small-scale and feels more like a family guest house than a hotel. Owner is very kind and accommodating and the food is amazing! And all for a very reasonable price. - Nothing. Rooms could still use a few facilities (like bed lights, little decoration) but the hotel had just opened and this will come very soon.

We were blown away by the location of our room which was 50 feet from the sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellant as was the breakfast. The pool area and sun beds were kept very clean at all times.

Do not be put off by the slightly untidy streets in the village outside the hotel, this is Africa. It is not the hotels responsibility but it would make a much better first impression if the area around the reception and boutique entrances were made a little cleaner. It may seem a bit unsafe at first but we had no problems at all.

Low tide is between 8:30am-3pm so you need to keep it in mind. Electricity/water breaks happened a few times but I believe this is not something the hotel has impact on. Regarding the food: I get it that the sea food should be number 1 in the menu but there should be at least one alternative like chicken wrap etc to survive if u r staying longer than 1-2 nights and u r not a sea food freak :)

We were the group of friends and staff was always eager to help, make the tables so that we can sit together during meals :) living on a beach and admirong the ocean was wonderful. We had a very pleasant stay. We really loved everybody but Marta stole our heart :) we will miss this place and will come back in some time.

No air conditioning. Nights were a bit difficult but we knew that before booking. The tempersture st nights are almost the same as in the day and be aware of that before booking.

The location of both HA Beach and HA Boutique is excellent, by the ocean side. The customer care exhibited by Boss Ahmed and his staff including Grace, Martha, Abdul, Hassan and Iddi(these were the ones I had the opportunity to know their names) was wonderful. The food was so delicious, kudos to their chefs-I plan to come back-for it is home away from home.

I liked everything about this Beach/Hotel. For I booked for a small singe room but ended up in a big double for the same cost. Thanks Ahmed.

Everything was amazing, this was by far my favourite hotel on Zanzibar, located a few meters from a great beach. Room was great and spacious, the staff was super nice, the owner was very helpful and accommodating. It had super comfortable sunbeds. The food in the restaurant was delicious, we had great breakfasts and dinners there. And last but not least, the internet was working perfectly in all the hotel.

The only small point of criticism is that there was no place to hand towels in the bathroom

I wish i coud stay more

The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the manager went above and beyond to accommodate changes to my departure date. The food was absolutely delicious. This was a truly memorable stay in a vibrant part of Jambiani. I will deeply miss the idyllic scene of children playing football on the beach as the sun slowly sets over the ocean.
