The services were excellent. The team was extremely helpful beyond our expectations. From the booking stage i had to change dates for my personal circumstances and Derrick from the booking department really helped me. I am so grateful. Plus, when we checked in the hotel, we were treated so well. Issa who was with us through our stay did a good job to accommodate us and our stay was memorable. Issa was so thoughtful and helpful with everything we needed. All meals were inclusive and there are varieties of restaurants, with our short stay we enjoyed all the meals offered from breakfast from spice market to pool bar chilling drinking and even snacking to Jetty restaurant for dinner was superb. The sea food was freshly served and delicious. We had a great time.

I don't even have anything to complain, all our complaints were addressed right on time by the hotel. The services were just beyond our expectation

We stayed at Melia for our honeymoon in a Romance Pavillion room, part of the Level. Was slightly nervous having seen some reviews online but needn’t have been - the experience was wonderful. The room was beautiful and just as good as the photos. The whole hotel had nice touches like animal sanctuaries. The facilities and range of restaurants was great and food on the whole was of very good quality! The staff were all great and made sure everything was as you needed. Particular shout out to Abdalla who went out his way to ensure we had everything we needed at meal time. Also a mention to Liliana who was so sweet and taught us how to play a traditional game - Bao. We used the spa and the massages were great too! Would recommend. (Optional excursion for additional cost: Wouldn’t recommend the visit to Mnemba Island - crowded with diesel smelling boats and didn’t feel too kind on wildlife - particularly the dolphins - but this is not a reflection on the hotel).

Absolutely stunning - authentic and built to suit the natural environment with a lot of focus on sustainability and ethical practice. It is a vast campus that can be navigated on foot and also by buggy. The staff were absolutely incredible. They made me feel like I was family and that I had always been a part of them. They made my birthday and engagement celebrations absolutely perfect. I would like to particularly thank Daniele the Chef at The Jetty, Paul - chief of staff, Mary - housekeeping with the best towel and decorative art, Omar, Magdalena, Prosper, Witness, Valeria, Farida, Hamid, Damila (incredible massage), Rashid (great driver who took us to see the turtle sanctuary), Lilian and Hamisi. My fiancée and I can’t wait to return and are recommending so many others to go.

Absolutely nothing - it was perfect

We were upgraded to a suite so the accommodation was excellent. Two pools - one large general pool and the other a quieter only adult only pool. Beautifully kept gardens. Well equipped gym. Good evening entertainment.

No immediate beach. You either had to walk for a good 25 minutes or take the hotel buggy to reach Gabi beach - the hotel's private beach. Food was OK.

The property is remote but with lots of activities and entertainment every night. There were 5 resturant offering visitirs many options.

The remote location meant we could not explore other parts or activities in Zanzibar easily. The cost of transportation to town was high. The hotel is mostly for people who want to stay put in one place. Also, the hotel is old.

Zanzibar is still developing so set your expectations right :huge facility - welcoming friendly staff - nice sceneries - some food is planted on premises - extra effort to welcome guests -pest control is good -family friendly -one of the good options on the island - many on premise activities-great coffee -good Internet connection -great gym facilities

The below is not to crticize but to improve :Under utilised facility(all activities in in one area ) -sub par food - average room designs for a 5 stars resort -humidity in the rooms - slippery floors in the rooms -lack of food hygiene - lack of information about resort activities -lack of staff hierarchy- the resort left to be run on its own(never saw any manager during our 10 says stay ) -total disregard to sustainability (badly maintained water sprinklers working all day long as one example )-no life guard on pool -total of only 3 pools all over the resort (exclusive access to 1 and one small gym pool )-watery cocktails (using cheap alcohol for alcoholic ones ) -all inclusive formula means u need to pay for many types of food on the menu

The hotel is nice but if you do not have LEVEL room you do not have access to the all facilities. The Jetty restaurant is good. same as the beach one. Security o the beach makes a good job not letting even tourists from other hotels access the property

The main pool is overcrowded with kids from 11 am to 18:00. it makes it impossible to swim in it. Luckily there is a second adult-only pool. the other issues in Melia is low tide. The ocean is not accessible for at least have of the day and early sunsets makes swimming in the ocean not so easy. The main restaurant buffet is quite an average quality. My Friends staying in LEVEL room said that it is much better,
