During our recent stay at TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar, we experienced an unforgettable holiday that exceeded all expectations. Location and Surroundings Nestled on the pristine sands of Kiwengwa Beach, the hotel’s stunning setting, lush gardens, and elegant architecture create a true paradise. Accommodation Our Junior Suite with a sea view was spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. The comfortable beds, complete with mosquito nets, ensured a restful stay. Impressively, we didn’t see a single mosquito the entire time. Dining Experience With five restaurants offering a variety of cuisines, every meal was a delight. The food was fresh, flavorful, and catered to all tastes. Exceptional Staff The service at the hotel was outstanding, with a team that went above and beyond to make our stay special. We want to highlight: Suphian from the Green and Grill Restaurant (dinner shift) – a world-class professional. His precision, warmth, and attention to detail would make him a top performer even in the finest dining establishments. The level of service he provides rivals that of the best restaurants globally—truly outstanding. Horace Kolimba, Asubuhi, and Brandina from the Beach Bar – always friendly, making every chat a pleasure. Said from the Pool Bar – top guy, very friendly, always smiling, great service. The room was comfortable and clean. The buffet was great. There were plenty of vegan options clearly labeled. The pool was large and clean. We used the tennis court every day, and the staff provided the rackets and the balls. In the low tide, the walk on the beach was nice once we got past the local guys trying to sell stuff.

The sea wasn't nice to swim, there are a lot of algae, and sea urchins, and the local sellers won't leave you alone. The sound isolation in the room was't good.

Location and some facilities and some staff were very good also we celebrated our wedding anniversary here and the private beach set up for dinner and food was excellent.

Activities need to be improved and timed well. For example, one would expect to have some live band on a Friday night rather than a movie night

Intimate resort. Staff were incredibly friendly. Food was amazing, especially the themed nights. Loved the fact that I could use all facilities on check out day until it was time to catch my flight. They even had shower facilities with all you need that we could use before leaving the resort. Will definitely go back.

We spent two weeks at TUI Blue Bahari, including Christmas and New Year and we highly recommend the resort. The service in all areas was great and all hotel personnel was customer oriented. The TUI app is useful and easy to use to reserve restaurants and activities. Speaking of activities, we were the only guests participating at the Swahili Language and Hotel Tour activities while the occupancy rate of the hotel was about 95%. I recommend getting involved while in Zanzibar. Locals appreciate so much the Swahili words/expressions learnt and discovering the hotel premises that are inaccessible to tourists and the management team was a pleasure. The administrative chief is very creative and resourceful, the laundry operation manager is very dedicated and organized and Chef Ali was great explaining us the processes and the reasons behind the very tasty and diverse food courses. I need to emphasize that the food was great every day and in all restaurants. We also liked the fact that there is no limitation to book a la carte restaurants. Chef Ali was so kind to offer some fruits and spices to takeaway. And last, I need to mention Hassan, the head of the restaurant team – he was there every day form the early morning hours until late at night, always watching every detail. We felt great at TUI and we would gladly chose it again: the rooms are clean and spacious, the beach and the views are spectacular, the personnel is great and makes you feel simply hakuna matata.

I recently stayed at TUI Hotel and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the customer service was outstanding — I truly felt welcomed and cared for throughout my stay. A special mention goes to Rajiv Fredrick, the supervisor, who went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect. His professionalism and genuine kindness made a real difference. I would also like to thank Horace and Jovin for their exceptional service and warm hospitality — they were always ready with a smile and willing to help with anything I needed. The hotel itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and offers everything you could ask for in a relaxing getaway, but it’s the amazing staff that made this stay truly unforgettable. Our first trip to Zanzibar & a TUI hotel, excellent week & we didn't want to leave. Mr Hassan, F&B Manager, Mr Celestine & Miss Hawa in particular gave 110% superb service, in fact all the staff were very good & security is good too. Room was good, WiFi good, restaurants very good. Definitely recommend this hotel. Our only negative was the beach which at low tide needs cleaning & it would be good if bird deterrent was used as the birds are persistent if you have a table full of food. I appreciate these aren't easy things to fix. Thanks again for a wonderful experience

The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. The premises are well-maintained with a variety of restaurants and bars.

There's something that I think is beyond your control, but the stairs that connect the residential area to the bars, restaurants, and beach area can be difficult to climb at times, especially after a hearty meal. Additionally, the frequency of lobster availability in the restaurants could be improved. During our 10-day stay, we only had the chance to eat it twice. Some all-inclusive hotels in Zanzibar offer it more frequently, but this is not a major issue.

Everything was perfect. I had my doubts about spending that much on a hotel stay but it was well worth it. great staff, great food and great entertainment. an unforgettable experience. allow you to relax or support in the booking of activities. hope to visit again.

only downside was when you went off the private beach and towards the sea there was a lot of sellers. allows some people to talk with locals and buy souvenirs and activities. however for me it was a bit of a pain when trying to have peaceful walks along the water.
