* a lot of people put towels on the sun beds on the beach to reserve them so it was difficult to get a bed under an umbrella. I was usually able to get a bed by the pool which was fine.

The hotel is beautiful and the location is stunning - turquoise water and white sand - the whole nine yards. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was great, room was comfy and expansive.

There were some slips with the entertainment but nothing to spoil the experience. Our room was next to the parking lot so at times we heard chats early in the morning.

Wish it had more amenities/things to do at the resort, but I understand that it’s still new. The resort at least has day activities to keep people somewhat occupied.

The property is the best you can find in Zanzibar. The staff were perfect. In general, Tanzanians were extremely helpful and hospitable, and their attention to detail was phenomenal.

Zanzibar itself has very frequent power failures and poor infrastructure, which creep into various activities during your stay at this resort. The beach is used by locals for seaweed farming and, therefore, is hard to enjoy. Locals use the beach to sell goods or pester guests for business reasons (selling clothes or providing tours), which means if you are looking for a secluded and relaxing beach, this is not the one to use (perhaps Zanzibar in general). This is probably an issue with the whole island rather than this specific resort. The 'gym' is very small, such that no more than two people can use it at any point in time.

The outstanding staff with wonderful smiles were the hilite of our stay. Specific thanks to Temba from Reception who greeted us and was always on hand during our stay. Olivia and Clementina at the restaurant who took good care of us at meal times. Abe who took care of us on the beach with his charm and warm smile. Finally we had a great beach to walk along each day. The food was very good (the best out of all the hotels we stayed at in Zanzibar).

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful 9-night stay at this hotel, including daily breakfasts. The hotel offers everything needed for a perfect vacation in Zanzibar. The grounds are beautifully maintained with a lovely garden and beach. The rooms are spacious, stylish, and cleaned thoroughly every day, with the added touch of the mosquito net being opened and closed each morning and evening. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. Fresh towels were always available at the beach and pool, and the hotel provides various activities during the day including kayaking and sea walking shoes (useful during the low tide). There's also convenient parking if you rent a car, though taxis are easily accessible. Breakfast was good, with enough variety, including good coffee, though it didn’t change much day to day. The on-site restaurant offers a mix of classic dishes and tasty Eastern cuisine, along with shisha and a wide range of alcoholic drinks. The waitstaff ware always welcoming and provided excellent service. We also found several local restaurants in the nearby village that offered fresh seafood at more affordable prices, as well as other dining options within a 15-30 minute drive. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in Zanzibar.

My reviews keep coming cause i KEEP EXTENDING. We are now on day 8 . We wake up every morning and cant leave cause when we go back home this will all seem like a dream and we are not ready to wake up from. Literally every single staff member took such immaculate care of us. I know you will see my name several times on the page that cause i keep extending so that in itself should tell you what an amazing time you will have here. The thought of leaving soon is heartbreaking but we will always be back.

I gained so much weight from all the amazing food!

We have stayed 6 nights in this hotel, and we can affirm that it was the best decision to spend our honeymoon trip. The welcoming is so warm and the receptionist brings detailed information about the different places of the resort. The room is perfect and the bed is so comfortable that it is not difficult to fall asleep. About the environment, it is in an ideal situation, access to the beach from the resort, it offers water sports and when the tide is low you can enjoy the sandbank. At the restaurant, the waiters give you personalized attention, they give us a ''sweet surprise'' for our wedding, and are always interested in you and your satisfaction with the service. All the waiters were very polite and funny but we will never forget the attention of Sabato, Raphael, Naftali, Hossam, Haji and Ursula. They made every meal perfect. Lastly, we want to recognize Hossam's work, who made sure that everything was perfect for the clients and workers. To sum up, if you plan to spend your holidays in Zanzibar, make sure to book in Lux Marijani Zanzibar.

The property was fantastic, and I loved every part of it. From the beautiful and well-maintained surroundings to the luxurious and comfortable rooms, everything was perfect. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring a delightful stay. The amenities, including the pool and dining options, were top-notch. Lux Marijani provided an outstanding experience that exceeded my expectations.

The only aspect I didn't like was the stones from the gate to the lobby entrance, which I thought weren't very attractive. Other than that, everything else about the property was wonderful.
