The location and rooms are absolutely stunning. The beach is footsteps away and seaweed is sweeped daily. The garden is absolutely stunning. The pool is fantastic. The food is delicious. By far, the highlight of this resort is the La Perla Team. Margaret, Amir, Suzanna, Suleman and Chef Abdullah made our stay absolutely incredible. They really made us feel like family and made this trip so unforgettable - we were literally crying when we left!!!! Our room stewards - Nasra, Mksiri and Jennifer were fantastic and super thorough. Our rooms were cleaned twice daily. Margaret, as manager, was so accommodating, welcoming and amazingly efficient. We found her to be an excellent manager and were so happy with the service she provided to us. Ameer, in charge of reservations, was super efficient and friendly. The reservation process went very smoothly. Both Margaret and Ameer organised a variety of entertainment and activities for us such as: Trips to Stone Town, Masai Tribe Performances, Dance Performances and bonfires at night. Suzanne and Suleman - the two best waiters we have ever met!! Every morning, Suzanne made a new freshly squeezed juice for us, and this is literally the best juices you will ever have in your life. Suleman is the kindest and most patient waiter I have ever met. Both Suzanne and Suleman, every single day, were so sweet to us, so friendly, always greeting us and talking to us. We miss them both so much!! Chef Abdullah - Chef is so talented at cooking and so friendly. His fish and his curries are out of this world. His soups are amazing. All the food was super fresh and seasoned to perfection. We had everything from king prawns, to tuna, to chicken, to hamburgers and fries. Thank you also to hotel director Hashir, Security Guard Haji and Gardener dura. Overall, our experience at La Perla was simply incredible. AMAZING!!! We miss you already! If you want to really relax near the beach and be super comfortable — this is The place to stay! Super clean (they clean the rooms twice per day), tons of flowers in the garden, stylish bungalows with comfy beds, restaurant with good food and juices, nice pool, San ads right at the beach facing the ocean.. and the most amazing is of course the team who made us feel like home. Anna who is the manager was always there for us in case we needed anything (finding a supermarket, ATM, booking a tour, organizing a birthday for my mum) and the rest of the team are super friendly and are there to make your stay as comfortable as possible! We hope we will be back!

We spent an amazing 5 days in La Perla and can’t wait to go back soon! The staff was the nicest, always smiling, checking on us regularly to make sure we are fine. The vibe was amazing all the time. The resort is super cute, green and clean at all times! The sunbeds are just on the beach making it really easy to get into the water anytime and it was really relaxing. The room was very beautiful and comfortable. We ate every day at the restaurant where the staff was always in an amazing mood, smiling and the food was great! The staff and management was so caring, they even surprised us on the last day with a birthday celebration. I will definitely come back to La Perla for my next vacation in Zanzibar, even the location and the beach was perfect!

We had an unforgettable stay at La Perla Beach Resort, in November 2024. What impressed us the most was the amazing staff. Every member of the team was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Every request was fulfilled with a genuine smile, and their flexibility and care made our stay absolutely comfortable. The service was also worth mentioning—it was top-notch. The cleaning was done several times a day, and everything was always perfectly clean and tidy. We didn’t have to worry about a thing—the staff anticipated our every need. If you’re looking for a combination of warm hospitality, a perfect location, and true Zanzibari charm—this is the place for you! Cozy rooms, delicious food, and the overall level of service exceeded all our expectations. We will definitely recommend La Perla Beach Resort to all our friends!

Location was quiet and amazing, long white beach with immediate access from the room. Room was fantastic, huge comfortable bed, clean mosquito net, beautiful bathroom area. Direct access to the pool and beach. Breakfast was fantastic and dinner food tasty. Massage therapist was excellent and relaxing. Easy walk to town to restaurants if wanted to eat outside. Anna the manager was keeping an excellent care of all her guests and gave high quality service. Nice and small resort, no need to share beach or pool with many guests.

Would be great if there would be price difference and ability to book either ground floor room or second floor. Both rooms are equally spacious and beautiful, but ground floor has lovely little terrace and fast access to pool/beach, but upstairs you'll need to walk around the back and climb up stairs. To keep it fair for guests would be good to have lower price for top floor. Restaurant didn't serve alcohol, and it was little bit surprising, but the bar right next door did. But if you like to have cocktails by the pool this might be an issue.

Our stay at this hotel was simply amazing. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. Mr. Koraiba and the entire staff went above and beyond to ensure we had an exceptional experience. Every detail was taken care of, and their kindness and professionalism truly made our visit special. The atmosphere of the hotel was beautiful, and we were able to fully relax and enjoy every moment. If you’re looking for a place in Zanzibar where you’ll feel at home and be treated like family, this is the perfect choice. We can’t thank them enough for such a memorable stay!

La Perla is the perfect destination for those who want to relax in a beautiful and comfortable resort nestled in the stunning surroundings of Zanzibar. The property is small and, unlike the overcrowded mega-resorts in other parts of the island, it allows for moments of absolute tranquility in solitude with your friends. The rooms are clean, stylish, and feature a large and comfortable double bed. A special thanks to the manager, Anna White, whose elegance ensured that all our needs were met, including a late check-in and late check-out.

Everything was perfect; I would only suggest adding a few wall hooks in the rooms.

La Perla Resort was everything I hoped it would be! I felt at home from the minute I arrived. I was solo traveling 33 year old woman and from the minute I got picked up from the airport, I felt that I was safe. The resort is nestled in a village which was really cool to see. The pictures do not do the resort justice. It is insanely gorgeous! Since there are limited rooms there isn’t a lot of people. I was there for Christmas and the resort went above and beyond to make Christmas so special. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Chef did incredible soups, the breakfast was super good as well. The staff treats you like family. I preferred for them to interact with me a lot but I saw other guests that wanted more privacy and they were very respectful of that. The beach is amazing and is literally right there for a swim. The pool is nice and cool. I stayed in an upstairs room and the room was really nice. The AC was not very strong but was enough to keep me cool at night, which I told the manager and he is planning to upgrade the AC unit. Like many just about any place in Africa, I had a few bugs in my room and Amir one of the staff members, came in to get capture them for me! I loved La Perla and it was one of the best experiences Ive ever had traveling. This is such a great place! There is a restaurant next door and a few in walking distance. Its a solid location. Be prepared that hiring a taxi to Stone Town and other places is expensive (but worth it). The hotel will arrange just about anything for you :)

The location was brilliant, right on the amazing beach. The staff were very helpful and friendly... Jamil, Chaz, Cecilia and everyone else there, thank you! And see below about the fantastic food. Highly recommend the seafood pizza or other fish dishes.

A few short power outages were more than made up for by the staff and a wonderful gift of an amazing fish dish for 2, absolutely delicious, plus a tasty homemade vanilla cake. The breakfasts always included superb fresh fruit amongst other items

We had a pleasure of staying at La Perla, and we couldn't be more impressed. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and offered breathtaking views of the beach. The manager and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay, they even arranged a beautiful dinner by the pool for our friends anniversary on a very short notice. If you're looking for a place to relax and unwind while enjoying unparalleled views of the ocean, La Perla is the perfect choice. I can't wait to return!
