The place is stunning and the location amazing. The staff was great and welcomed us so nicely. The hotel just reopened after renovation, we were the first guests and the only ones. We have been upgraded to the imperial room which was absolutely fabulous! We had the hotel just for us and it was amazing. I wish we could stay longer. For sure, we will be back. Everything was perfect! I highly recommend the place!

We just spent 8 days in Zanzibar. After our initial 2 days at the North of the island, we moved to Sultan Palace for 6 days. We must admit WOW factors from beginning. The reception staff, all the restaurant staff, the housekeeping and Gardners, the beach staff and last but not least Hotel manager Mr Pradeep Kumar and his wife all deserved to be praised. The location of the hotel is excellent- so tranquil, peaceful and natural. We used to see friendly monkeys everyday. Although the accommodation was advertised as deluxe suite, it was actually villas. We loved it so much that we were comparing these villas in private islands in Maldives we previously stayed. On our last night, the staff celebrated my birthday with local song. We just can't praise the staff enough for the hard work they are doing to have a wonderful peaceful holiday for the guests. Well done to the management for the hard work. Best wishes

WIFI in general is a problem in Zanzibar. Hotel can't be blamed for it. We also preferred ordering fresh from the menu rather than having buffet food.

The space : a few bungalows over a very big property The quietness : no disturbance from outside The very nice beach : very well maintained The excellent breakfast : a lot of variety The staff : charming very caring, always present to help And many other things : it is close to heaven on earth

Very little to say here. Although it was very good, those could be a few hints for improvement. Restaurant for diner : the meal received is not always exactly what was ordered (misunderstanding ?) Quietness : maybe not much the hotel can do but on Saturday night, we can hear the disco from one neighbor hotel (far away though)

The Sultan Palace is a beautiful hotel with individual thatched rooms which are finished to a high standard with excellent modern bathrooms. Great air conditioning and comfortable bed. The hotel grounds are lovely and the private beach is excellent and probably one of the best along this coast line. Plenty of sun beds with great beach bar. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is on the shore of the Blue Lagoon which has excellent coral and snorkelling.

If anything can be improved it would be to provide better coffee with the breakfast, which was otherwise very good. The other food options could be improved.

This beautiful seaside hotel is set on a large area with only 15 villas, making it a peaceful and quiet place to stay. The beach is amazing, calm, clean, and perfect for relaxation. Even though the tides change throughout the day, the sea is always beautiful, and walking along the long shoreline is a great experience. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming, always doing their best effort to meet your needs. The food was tasty and satisfying, especially the seafood. If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday in nature, away from the crowds, this is the perfect place for you.

If the rooms and the main building were modernized a bit and renovated to allow more natural light in, and if all the lights were replaced with warm (natural) colored bulbs instead of white light, we think it would be even better.

The hotel is absolutely stunning. Set in its own private, well kept and lush gardens, it is such a peaceful haven. The beach touching the hotel is beautiful and Clean, and the large infinity pool with amazing views is superb. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Moreover the service of all the team is great, from the managers Hassan and Juma who were always there for our every need, to ask the restaurant, front office and cleaning stuff. Always ready to assist with a smile. I would definitely recommend.

The location is on the East coast and and such is affected by tides but even in the low tide one can walk not too far and snorkel and swim. The poperty offers a kayak with which you can kayak in low and high tide, Beaches are beautiful and quiet. The staf at teh property was amazing and very accomodating. It is not necessary to have loud music on the beach as one wants to enjoy the sound of the ocean while relaxing. The hotels food is good but if you want to get other food it can be a mission because it is not easy to walk around in te neighbourhood as it is very quiet except for the hotels.

The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much hassle. They can arrange half day trips and full day trips to the main attractions on the island. The resort is small but compact and offers everything you need, from a private beach area, 2 restaurants (including a beach bar) and a pool with fantastic views! The beach area is stunning and quiet, not far from the Blue Lagoon area which offers excellent snorkeling.

It is a wonderful place at the side of the Indian Ocean. The room with a beautiful terrace is well equipped, the view over the sea is grandiose. The restaurant is attractive and provides wonderful meals. The personnel are very friendly and very helpful in all matters. A perfect way to relax for a few days.

The safe in the room did not work. Price is higher than expected, but fair.
