After the safari adventure, we spent four unforgettable days at Zawadi Hotel in Zanzibar this September. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel we have ever stayed at, and it deserves every bit of praise. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the sheer beauty of the property. The entire area feels like a slice of paradise, with lush, manicured gardens and vibrant flowers creating a tranquil oasis. Every detail is carefully attended to, making the surroundings feel magical. The villas were absolutely spotless and beautifully designed, offering the perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The highlight of our stay, however, was the food. Every meal was served à la carte, and each dish was excellent—imaginative, delicious, and prepared with great care. Dining at Zawadi was a true culinary delight. The staff at Zawadi set a new standard for hospitality. From the warm and welcoming reception team, especially the lovely Noura, to the attentive F&B staff and even the gardeners, everyone we encountered was genuinely kind and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. One of the most memorable experiences was the guided tour through the gardens, which was both informative and enjoyable (feeding the donkey was almosts as exciting as safari!). We also loved the little touches, like sundowners served in our villa and the creative gin and tonic menu. Zawadi Hotel is a place we will never forget. It’s more than a hotel—it’s an experience. We’re already dreaming of returning and cannot recommend it highly enough. If you’re looking for a slice of paradise, Zawadi is the place to be.

Extremely well maintained property with breathtaking views of the ocean and super friendly and attentive staff, which made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. With just 12 villas, staying at Zawadi does not feel like staying in a hotel, but being hosted by friends. Very secluded it is a perfect hideaway to unwind in a very relaxed, yet chic ambience

We missed a bit of a local/exotic twist to the food served, but in general food options are good and plentyful

The staff are very welcoming and friendly. During our stay my hubby got sick in stomach, we almost had every dinner in the room with their excellent room service. They also bring us breakfast and proper drinks. The kitchen specially made fresh chicken soup and rice to cater my hubby's stomach. The view is also amazing. we have direct access to the beach which is stunning, full of soft white sand and also can see a lot of shallow ocean creatures when the tide is low (during noon). it is fun taking a walk there enjoy the view and sun,

the road from airport to the hotel is bumpy

Beautiful villas and so great that there are only 12 so it feels really quiet and special! All the staff knew our names and even remembered my drink order by the pool. So lovely to have a plunge pool to enjoy the morning sun and then moving to the lovely main pool for the afternoons. All the food was delicious and we were completely stuffed after every meal!

Everything, staff, food rooms. It exceeded all expectations from the moment we arrived to the send off. A truly exceptional experience. Thank you thank you to Evelyne, Noa, Isaak, Bernard, Ally, Mr. M, Iddy,, Raza and everyone else who made our stay unforgettable, the chefs, the housekeeping crew, the gardeners, the musicians and the maintenance crew who magically fixed a shower head that we broke during lunchtime.

Everything was just as you could want or need. Staff were amazing and anticipate your every wish, going out of their way to help make your stay perfect. Truly a great experience.

Nothing really comes to mind

The Zawadi hotel is my favorite place I have ever stayed at. From the tour of the eco farm, to the wonderful night time entertainment and finally the truly breathtaking coral reefs, Zawadi sets the bar on beauty and luxury. The staff are kind and generous with their time and energy. The management is knowledge and true professionals. Go to Zawadi and enjoy Zanzibar's best little corner.

Cleanness and staff were extraordinary!

Perfect is an understatement. We absolutely loved our stay. The team’s level of service and hospitality tops any resort we have ever stayed in. Evelyn, Tami, Ali and Sara were super helpful and made us feel like home. that anything we need or wish for is possible. The chef is amazing we had the best seafood/ Indian/ tropical dishes. he made a lot of dishes to cater for our wishes :) We had an amazing sunset tour on our last night, we came back to the room to find a really nice gift from the team. Thank you so much you really made our vacation memorable.

the night we stayed was Zanzibar spice Indian food for dinner. 3 days later and my stomach is still a bit upset from the food but it is my fault I should have ordered something I am more use too.
