We booked Shose Chalets last minute, and it was a great experience. We even decided to stay four nights instead of two. Benedeta is a wonderful host. She was always there for us, helped us find a great tour guide, and arranged a late dinner and laundry. Our hotel room was the perfect chill spot to rest after a long flight and later after climbing Kilimanjaro. We spent the whole day relaxing, playing board games, and generating positive energy for all the tours and safaris we were going to take. The Kilimanjaro view and sunset are just stunning to observe from the balcony of Shose Hotel. Our son was flabbergasted by the bathtub on the balcony. He enjoyed the heaven full of stars while taking a bath. There is also a shower inside for the less brave. :) All in all, these were four great days, and we are very grateful for them.

It would be great to have a sweating pool, and it is in future plans of Benadeta.

You can’t go wrong with it unless you want to stay somewhere more central. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, never seen so many options for breakfast at a privately managed property. I wanted to sunbathe so they even organised a hammock for me. While you can’t see the mountain from the room, it takes literally 50 meters to get to the viewpoint. Even better climb the new building that’s in construction with a bottle of Kilimanjaro! Pro tip. Order food about 1h minimum earlier. It takes long, even a sandwich, but I think it is well worth it.

At first I was offered a room that I didn’t like and it wasn’t as shown on booking. Glad they changed it fast. No real coffee but it seems to be standard here. What a shame!

I truly had a wonderful stay at the Shose Chalets! This property provided a lovely relaxing retreat after finishing my Kilimanjaro climb. The chalet was larger than I expected, well appointed and super comfortable. The property owner was very helpful and responsive to my requests and ensured my stay was an enjoyable one. I also have to compliment the restaurant on the excellent food and service. Great value for money here. I would stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone considering staying here.

Shose Chalets exceeded my expectations. The bedrooms are separate units with a private garden and a verandah which I spent relaxing days reading or napping. I didnt feel like I was staying at a hotel as the units are individual suites. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. There is even a clothes line out back to hang clothes. A breakfast of juice, tea/coffee, omelette, pancakes is served by the lovely Stellah on the verandah of the chalet. Peter, the Manager, is always available to answer questions or resolve issues. The location is about 5km from the centre of Moshi. Peter will arrange a tuk tuk or taxi (about TZS6000) with Baracka. — I even went up to the waterfalls with Baracka on a tuk tuk which I would highly recommend. He is a safe and knowledgeable guide. This is the perfect place to relax before or after safari or climbing Kilimanjaro.

We stayed in the tents for two nights at Shose and had the best time. The beds were comfortable and we were given towels and stuff to do laundry with. Peter (the manager) was incredibly helpful and kind. He helped us book transportation to and from the place and the town (a 10-15 minute tuktuk ride), and he arranged an early breakfast for us when we had to leave in the morning. The restaurant is excellent too. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

I really liked this place - the rooms were spacious -the staff was amazing - the food in the restaurant was good for the good price - the internet worked fine compared to other places in the area - they even prepared a full breakfast for me at 5:30 am before my departure to Nairobi. Many thanks! Everything I could ask for after my Kilimanjaro climb. I can recommend this place for your stay in Moshi.

Nothing, I liked everything

The chalets are very smart and super clean and management is very responsive and helpful . We managed to get a very yummy dinner prepared on short notice late in the night as we were very hungry after a delayed flight . Chalets have a cute walk way , which is a pleasant surprise as the entry to this property near the parking area is underwhelming but once you get to the chalets , it’s a calming experience.

Something to note about this property, the entrance area is very basic .We thought we had arrived at the wrong place I almost declined to enter inside . I only felt safe the following day after settling in and realizing the property is sorrounded by a farm and management lives close by , arriving late in the night I felt quite nervous as the place seemed open and easily accessible to outsiders .

Everyone at the property is very nice, warm and supportive. I was not lucky didn't see the Kilimanjaro due the clouds of the day. But it's in good spot in front of mountain. Benadeta answered my questions quickly and arranged a Moshi tour during my limited time. It has very well designed rooms and family houses, besides tents. It's inside a big farm great place .

The location and the farm , food cooked fresh with local taste.

This family owned property was absolutely incredible - especially considering the price. The staff were phenomenal. As soon as we arrived at the airport, we had help from Barracka who saved us from people trying to steal money from us. At the chalets, the owner Bernadetta was extremely kind and welcoming. Any issues we had, they were right on top of. We did a tour and they also sorted us a SIM card. If you’re skeptical about this stay, don’t be. This is a beautiful experience and truly worth it!!!! We will be back!
