Staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good (some variation would be nice for example with the fruits) and the WINKKS Beach Club was exceptional: beautifully decorated, excellent food, great drinks. Hotel is located in the best location at Sai Kaew Beach: short walk to village, many restaurant nearby. Beautiful garden area.

Our "deluxe" rooms were nothing more than standard rooms. They are quite worn out and the beds are very hard. Pool areas at are not very welcoming or well kept (one of the main reasons we chose this hotels was the three swimming pools... Fortunately the beach is wonderful). The gym is tiny and part of the equipment was broken.

The staff were amazingly friendly and very helpful. The resort restaurant on the beach is fantastic. The food and drinks were great and the layout and view are amazing. The atmosphere was terrific and sitting by the ocean at night is so relaxing. The beach area is great. A few more sun lounges would be great as they were difficult to get by midday. I've never been to Koh Samed before but after this we will be back. Our resort fronted a beautiful, clean white sand beach and the layout of the whole resort is fantastic. I've been to Koh Samui, Phuket and Phi Phi but this was my favourite beach place so far in Thailand. Great for families and kids. No real surf to speak of so very safe for swimming.

We stayed in a cottage and could hear a bit of noise from the adjoining room at night. The bed was a bit hard for my comfort.

pool was first week of our arrival Green with Algae and could not swim secondly fot the chairs we had to fight in the morning

The staff were brilliant and friendly. The location of the resort was fantastic and the layout of the resort was good.

The standard of the poolside loungers in the deluxe cottage area was poor. There was too much rubbish on the beach. This is not necessarily the resorts fault, but it can, along with other bars along the beach, employ people to clear the beach of rubbish to keep it looking good. This benefits the resort.

Gym tiny and with a broken pane of glass. Pool facing sea was oily- needed a clean. Breakfast not amazing

The room was ok, clean and comfy. Some parts might need to be refurbished and cleaned as it looked old and run-down. Breakfast was good, a lot of options with European and Asian food. One recommendation, the hotel should give the fresh juices. The juices provided were super sweet syrup with water. Beach/pool and water were great.. nice view and the water was good. Services: Staffs are nice and helpful. Special thanks to “Pepe”, he really has service mind. always pay extra attention to the guests, not only us but overall.

The beach benches situation was not good with approx. 50 seats (including the bean bags). A lot of people just use towels to reserve the benches early but didn’t use for half a day. Once we went at 8. 30.. there is no bench available but of course only stuffs for the reservation.

Loved the boat and shuttle service. It took all my worries about getting from the mainland to the island away. Super smooth and all the people involved were amazing. The resort is amazing and I will stay with them again. They made me feel special while staying there!

The only bad thing I can say about my stay is I asked for a king bed, and what I received was to beds pushed together to “make a king size” bed. This created some issues as it seems like one of us was always sleeping in the crack between both mattresses.

Great location close to the bigger public beach and "main street" with a bunch of restaurants and services. Lovely little private beach with barely any other guests during the time we visited (late Nov). Also pools for those who prefer them. It seemed like there would be bars at the private beach and at one of the pools but they weren't open. Breakfast was nice and versatile - the only thing I missed was green tea, as there was only a brewed pot of black tea available (no tea bags). Deluxe cottage wasn't big but served its purpose. Nice sea view! We also had a lizard visitor one night and tried to get it out ourselves but gave up after about a half an hour and called the reception close to midnight. They sent someone over who grabbed the little guy and released it outside. The fact that they had a note saying you can call staff to get rid of lizard visitors teels me this probably happens quite a lot :D

Mattress was too hard for my travel companion who got a headache. We had some issues communicating this to staff as the level of English knowledge isn't very high. It worked out in the end but took quite a few calls back and forth. There are mosquitos, as mentioned, so remember to keep the door closed! Also, at checkout they wanted us to wait until housekeeping goes to check our room. We hadn't encountered this practice elsewhere and therefore hadn't reserved extra time for it, had a boat to catch! They let us go in the end before housekeeping got there, Would be good to let guests know about this practice beforehand.

Nicely set out resort and right on a beach with beautiful soft powdery sand! Winks beach club served great food and drink options and service was beachfront too! The rooms were lovely and each had a balcony which was nice.

Maybe it was just the time of year but the sea was full of litter! We saw hotel staff trying to clean up but it was a losing battle as so much was washing in with the tide. Such a shame for a beautiful beach.

The resort was just what we wanted for an island retreat for a week. You could relax within the hotel confines and enjoy swimming pools beach and lovely bar and restaurant. Otherwise you could do boat trips. Or jump on very basic truck taxis to get around island to see more beautiful beaches.

Nothing property was beautifully looked after
