We stayed just one night at ASAI Chinatown. The absolute highlight was the incredibly comfortable bed, linen, and pillows—better than any we experienced in the other 4* and 5* hotels and resorts during our travels around Thailand. Honestly, ASAI’s bed trumps them all by a mile. The room was spotlessly clean and we really appreciated the minimalist, modern design, which gave it a calming, uncluttered feel. Breakfast was also a pleasant surprise—fresh, tasty, and well-presented. The location is excellent: just a 5-minute walk to the metro, a 7/11 and small shopping center in the building’s basement, and of course, Chinatown’s vibrant main street just around the corner. The only odd thing was the absence of tea or coffee in the room—despite having a kettle—and no room service available. Not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of. That said, we would absolutely recommend ASAI Chinatown and would gladly return. Great value, comfort, and location in one package.

Loved that it's in the heart of Chinatown so you walk out and have lots of options for food and shopping. In general the location is central to a lot of the sites and shopping areas. Very close to the blue metro line. Rooms were very updated and clean. TV works with casting so I was able to use YouTube, Netflix, etc. showers heated up well and had good water pressure.

Walls were a little thin so we could hear neighbors. Room doors don't shut on their own always so you need to pull to check. We had a maid actually pop in once to tell us our door was open when we didn't realize.

Practical seems to be the best word to describe the ASAI Chinatown. Has everything, near everything, and you can stay comfortable some days. Just in the meedle of Chinatown, 50 mt from Metro station, in a 4th floor of a building, great personnel, great breakfast, clean, Markets and supers near. Young personnel, really kind.

Rooms are small . . .you see it, but in few minutes it does not matter, because is really functional, how is the configuration. Is optimal, approaches every inch of rooms. One day mu room did not was completely cleaned, but just one of 4 days.

The hotel itself is very aesthetic. The lobby and ameneties is very cultural which was pleasing to the eyes and experience as well. The room itself was very comfortable and clean. Modern looking too. Shower worked great and had a heater. The location of the hotel was very convenient. If you're in Bangkok for the food, the hotel is surrounded by restaurants and the famous Yaowarat street food is just on the other side of the street which is less than a 5min walk from the hotel. The hotel is also attached to a small mall which has a 7/11, Starbucks, KFC, and other restaurants, pharmacies, and convenience stores. Tuktuks and taxis are also always around so commuting is very easy and convenient. The location itself is in the middle of where you would probably need to go for a short vacation especially if you want to visit the local temples and tourist destinations and shops.

Nothing. Only thing was that there was no complimentary coffee or tea which really wasn't a big deal since there's a 7/11 close by.

Chinatown is a world apart within Bangkok. If you like hectic places then this hotel is a good solution to stay in the middle of it. The hotel is above a mall and this is convenient even for late night shopping. Rooms are efficiently designed and enough spacious. There's everything you may need and may be useful (even if you dont use like a decent restaurant). Due to the location and design of hotel I would suggest the place to those who already know a bit of Bangkok and not to first-timers or families with little children. Having said this I could easily return there!

Check-in was a bit slow and basically you may meet staff only on check-in and check-out because you have to go on reception floor otherwise you may skip it completely. This can give you a kind of un-personal experience which is however good for travellers who don't need too much help. I missed only the pool but that's for another kind of holidays!

Extensive and delicious buffet breakfast selections which changes daily (thank you for introducing me to pandan cake); room is clean and gracious and kind housekeeping staff remembered me, offering towels and water when I passed them in the hall after I once requested towels and water; hip decor; curated selection of gifts available in the lobby, great location in Chinatown, next to a mall with pharmacy and a 24/7 7/11 downstairs.

Difficult to make a reset without booking.com, who charges an infuriatingly huge service fee for what would otherwise be a low per night rate. Front desk people did not go out of their way to help and once told me to call back after 8 am regarding a reservation.

We really loved staying in Chinatown! There is so much close by including a weekend market. We loved that there was a 711 right downstairs opened 24/7. The room was very clean and comfy! We liked it so much we stayed here again when coming back to Bangkok to fly out. There is a woman downstairs who has a small booth set up near the drink machines, we bought the cutest stuff from her! Great quality and great prices and she is the kindest lady! Make sure you stop by ! It’s a busy area but we didn’t have any issues with noise , HOWEVER we do bring a sound machine everywhere we go , so we don’t hear much.

- The architecture and design are superb - The common spaces are so beautiful - The room is not big but very functional and well designed - Incredible value for money - Perfect location, right in the middle of the action of Chinatown and yet very quiet - Very close to the public transport and very close to the river (boat bus and temples) - Excellent breakfast and restaurant - There is a cool shopping mall in the building - They even have a shower for guests having a late flight and need to refresh after a last day wandering around BKK We just loved it : )

The location and the room

The receptionist working on the 28th (day time). Very rude behavior towards guest, most of the guest either spoke English or Chinese, and when she couldn’t handle any situations she would say something like: แต่ละวันต้องเจอกับอะไรบางเนี้ย when she knew that there still were a few people in the lobby that could understand Thai. I don’t see the point in keeping a job if you don’t want to put any respect into the work place or the guest who pays to stay at the hotel. Besides the hotel receptionist then all the other staff were friendly and helpful! :)

I stayed in the Asai twice, bookending my trip around SE Asia and enjoyed both occasions. The rooms are super modern and immaculately clean. The breakfast is exceptional quality. The staff were super nice and professional. The location is good too, with a nice, small air conditioned mall next door with plenty of good food court options. The metro is 5 minutes walk away. My only reservation is it can be pretty chaotic stepping straight into Bangkok's Chinatown ... Choose somewhere else if you would prefer some peace and quiet.
