We wanted a quiet location in a 'local' area away from the tourist zones. The apartment was perfect in that respect. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The local area was very safe for us travelling with 2 young kids, as well as having lots of really authentic food options to choose from. It was well served by the MRT station 5 mins walk away and had a laundry and 7ELEVEN / Lotus's close by. There was a food market next door that offered great options too. The cleaning staff came each day, the place was spotless. Thank you!

The wi-fi speed was pretty slow and for me as a remote worker, challenging to work with. It really could do with an upgrade to a faster package. Other than that, we experienced no issues.

Spacious and Super clean, daily room refresh is great. Quiet and secure. It’s a great space to get to various parts of Bangkok easily but also far enough away not to be blasted by city noise. It’s in a non tourist area, with plenty of authentic Thai eateries within walking distance, and they’re Thai prices not ramped up for tourists. If you can’t speak the language, the hotel staff are all excellent speakers and can assist with any queries uou may have. You can also use the on site hotel laundry to wash and dry clothing.

Hotel Baan Thanwa– Great Location and Comfortable Stay I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Baan. The location is ideal—just a short 7-minute (650 meters) walk to the Ratchadaphisek metro station on the blue line, making it easy to get around Bangkok. There’s a 7-Eleven just 2-3 minutes away and a vibrant local street food night market within 1-2 minutes on foot, which was perfect for quick meals and snacks. The hotel itself was very clean, and the rooms were surprisingly spacious and well-maintained. What really stood out was the friendliness of the staff—they were always welcoming and ready to help. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Bangkok!

Everything was perfect

Check-in was great and we even got a cold water upon arrival. The room and bathroom were perfect and very clean. There are nice local and well-priced restaurants around the hotel (including a great Thai bbq around the corner and a soup place across the road). The pool is beautiful and there are yoga matts and exercise equipment that one can use. There is also the possibility to do laundry which was great. Tea and coffee could also be made downstairs for free. Good Muay Thai school around the corner.

The staff was very friendly. A little disappointing was that on our last day we had time to kill and were not allowed to use the pool area after we had checked out - although we had stayed there for a week. It seemed unnecessarily strict, as there were barely any people using it.

We had a fantastic stay at Baan Tanwa and would definitely return! This family-owned hotel is a real gem, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel at home—they are incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly, which really added to the experience. The rooms are great—spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The pool, although small and not getting much sun, is still a lovely place to relax. The location is also excellent, with plenty of shops and conveniences nearby, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, we had a great experience at Baan Tanwa. The exceptional hospitality and cozy atmosphere more than made up for the minor issues, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here

The beds are extremely firm, which may not be comfortable for everyone. It’s also a bit odd that the apartments don’t come with basic utensils or plates, and while they provide shampoo and conditioner, there’s no hand soap, which feels like an oversight. We also noticed a small ant problem in the kitchen area, so it’s important not to leave any food out.

I chose this hotel because its close to the mrt station and in a quieter neighborhood. The ladies running the hotel are so nice and overall I had a great stay. Clean room, nice bathroom, good water pressure and shower gets as hot as you'd like. The pool is a nice chill area, especially in the morning or afternoon when its blazing hot outside. Free coffee always gets me going too. Pro tips: night market right next to hotel 3 - 4 nights per week and alot of good food and stuff to find. Theres little trucks that ride around and for 10 baht they take you around the neighborhood or to the mrt station, just wave them down. Only about a 5 or 6 minute walk to the mrt station but some days it's nice to catch a quick ride 👍

Very clean rooms that were interconnected, so perfect for my family. The whole hotel is compact and the pool is small but a nice addition for a smaller hotel in Bangkok. There was a basic sink and kitchenette with microwave and a fridge. Water was supplied daily and more was available to buy in the hotel lobby. There was also washing facilities and car parking. Security is maintained at night with a guard and a keycard to access the lobby/ elevators. It is a five minute walk to the MRT which is only 6 stops from Sukhumvit and close to Chatuchak. Staff were helpful and made sure the security guard had my 500 baht security deposit to give to me because of an early check out to get to the airport. There are a few restaurants around the area and a market. The little Vietnamese place up the road is a good, cheap option. 7-Eleven close by in the opposite direction. All in all, a little gem of a place for the budget traveller.

Bed is on the hard side but it's fine. Location a bit far from the central but MRT is nearby. Chatuchak just 3 stops away. No halal food nearby but just use Grab

-Nice pool -Affordable -Serene and quiet environment -Daily room service + provided water every day -Quite clean -Helpful staff: lent us weighing scale and were helpful when booking taxis etc. They also helped with laundry washing (300-500 baht) -24 hours check in - we checked in at around 1am

Things that could be improved: -lighting is very dim in rooms - could have the option of having not only the yellow lights but the white ones too -some mosquitoes in room (bit my toddler quite a lot on one night) and some ants too -on the 5th floor, there was a weird insect sound at night that would be quite disturbing -it would be great if there could be an oven in the room (family room) -The balcony door couldn’t be locked but there was net on the balcony so it would as kind of okay -couldn’t connect to WiFi

Fridge and kettle in the room. Pool. Wifi didn't reach our room and they gave extra modem. Every day room cleaning. If I understood right, free coffee and tea for customers (nobody told me this, had to realize on my own). We could let our luggage there for a day after check-out. Night market behind hotel on Wednesdays.

Pool area is small. No sunbed, only few chairs and couple of dirty mattresses. No pool towels. Gym is just a joke, a few old equipments at the corner. A lot of stuff in the building
