De Rose Hotel sits in a quiet backstreet, a short and cheap taxi ride from Chiang Mai's iconic old town - about 15 mins. It is quaint and absolutely lovely in the morning sun. The owners take good care of the property, there is an apparent pride in the place. Noi, the manager, is an incredibly welcoming and warm-hearted person. I stayed here for 1 month and every interaction with her brightened my day a bit while I was going through a tough time. The neighbourhood is authentic - plenty of "true thailand" to be observed. Turn left out of the hotel and go all the way to the end of the alley to find Chada Restaurant - a very relaxing place to sit in the sun and drink a beer, with some solid food options with a large menu to choose from. it's nothing short of an ideal place to spend a resting day without going too far from the hotel. Can't recommend it enough - it really felt like home. I love chiang mai and I'll be back many times, I'll always be staying at De Rose Hotel. P.S. Noi can cook!!! Try her amazing, cheap breakfast... it'll just make sure you're hungry because the food just keeps on coming.

Thank you very much to Noi for the wonderful hospitality! The rooms are very clean, the breakfasts are delicious and generous, and you can buy beautiful clothes on site at good prices. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city, in a very quiet and peaceful area, just 10 minutes from the Chiang Mai Old Town. Right next door, there’s an excellent restaurant with live music. The hotel is a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area—Noi has plenty of great ideas for trips and recommended lots of amazing places to visit. We highly recommend it!

Upon my arrival this hotel radiated positive vibes. Noy was very welcoming and accommodating. I had the most delicious mango sticky rice upon arrival. The hotel was very clean and had great AC in the room. The staff were lovely, kind, and helpful. I really felt like I was a part of their family while I was there. I can’t say enough good things about Noy. I ended up booking an additional night because I liked it so much. She speaks very good English and was more than helpful when it came to things to do around town and how to book experiences and transportation. The breakfast was delicious. I had the English breakfast the first morning and Thai breakfast the last two days. All the food was delicious and plentiful. The hotel is only 15 minutes from the center. I loved how quiet it was here in the convenience of a 711 close by as well as a lovely restaurant Chada Cafe. I would come back here anytime! Thank you Noy and staff!!

The bed was hard at first but they kindly replaced the whole bed for me. I couldn’t believe it! So kind.

I liked everything !! I am feeling really well at Noy’s place, since the moment I arrived. It’s located in a very quiet area, yet close to the city center (15 minutes by Grab bike). My room was always super clean and the breakfast is literally the best I ever had. Noy had many meaningful attentions towards me as bringing me to the local market with her, preparing a take away breakfast the day I had a tour excursion early in the morning or even offering me a rose on Valentine’s Day. I extended my stay there and would definitely return again.

We liked how welcoming Noy (owner) is when we first arrived. I was visiting CM for a dental appointment with my two girls (daughters). After checking in Noy recommended some activities nearby that the girls might enjoy without me asking. We drove there and parking was available. The parking area is small but across from the hotel (not far) looks like more possible parking but I forgot to ask about it. Breakfast was also included which we attended around 7:30am. Nothing was sitting out for us to grab other than coffee/tea and some bread for us to toast. Once we were seated at our tables breakfast was then cooked fresh for us, nice and hot. We had scramble eggs, fried rice (chicken or pork), mango sticky rice and yogurt. I'll tell you, that the portions were not small either, we were full. After we had finished our breakfast, Noy was kind enough to ask if we were full or not. Thank you Noy and staff for providing such a warm atmosphere during our stay. It was truly extraordinary stay since the first day, Mrs. Noy, the owner of the hotel helped us to get the 3 scooters rented in first hour. She was super willing to help us with everything, she speaks perfect english, found us many locations for our trip, anything what we need during ou stay, and in the end she surprised us with Chiang Mai red bus to get to the airport. We was amazed by her good mood and care every single day, and we will alwas remember this stay! Also the staff was smiling every morrning (and continue all day long) when they prepared the breakfast for us....which was the only thing - unfortunately we was not able to eat five courses in a row, even everything was great! :-) Always including some fruit. And no problem with things we need to change in food for our friend with some health issues. In the end we was super happy to get this hotel on a so nice and quiet place with flowers and nature arround and great spirit, instead of the overcrowded center with noise and rush every hour. This little boutique hotel was a diamond in the rough. The owner, Noy was very helpful and she even drove us to town the fist day! She made us a homemade Thai breakfast every day with Mango sticky rice as dessert! The cost of the hotel was commensurate to what we got. Basic accommodations, clean and very affordable.

The rooms were small with very little room for luggage. The bathrooms were "wet" so no separation of the shower from the toilet/sink area. No area to store anything in the bathroom due to how wet it was and no outlet in the bathroom. The beds were very stiff and for me a bit uncomfortable.

Basic infrastructure, not very luxury but the host did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible, she is very helpful and sweet and tries to help her guests as good as she can, the room was small for a couple but we got a bigger room the next day and then we had a perfect stay

The friendly host, she prepared a delicious breakfast and lunch package when we made a day trip and tried to helpful with excursions and taxi etc…

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel! Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary treat of delicious mango sticky rice. The hostess was friendly, offering a warm welcome and valuable assistance in organizing my trip to Chiang Rai. The facilities were clean, and the entire staff was consistently friendly. As a thoughtful gesture upon departure, I received delightful gifts for both myself and my family, along with some tasty croissants for breakfast. The experience was truly memorable, and I highly recommend this hotel for its warm hospitality and attention to detail.

Noy was an incredible host, so kind and friendly, very communicative via messages when needed. She offered us Thai or European style breakfasts which were amazing every morning! She had lots of information about local tours and excursions and gave us local advice too. Can't recommend De Rose enough- we extended our stay while we were there.
