The grounds of Eco are beautiful and they have an excellent swimming pool and affordable and delicious food in the area.

I knew this when I booked but it is good for others to know - Eco Resort hosts lots of younger travellers and the building I stayed in is made of wood so the noise travels. You can hear people walking outside your room very well and voices.

I absolutely loved the location of Eco Resort in Chiang Mai. It was within walking distance of 7/11 and many fabulous restaurants while still being outside of the busy city. It felt like an oasis in the jungle, which was a pleasant relief for someone that isn't a fan of city noise. But, Old City is only a 20-25 minute walk from the hotel, which was perfect for when we didn't want to get a grab. The rooms are smaller than traditional hotels, but they were very comfortable and had great AC! There were plenty of outdoor cozy areas at the resort to relax that were completely surrounded by nature, making for a serene vacation. I absolutely loved staying at Eco and will be choosing it at my hotel for all future visits to Chiang Mai!!

In some of the rooms, the curtains aren't very good at actually blocking out the light, making it rather difficult to sleep for someone that is light sensitive. I was able to remedy this by hanging my towels over the window to block out a little bit more of the light. This is only for some of the rooms; the rooms that face the backside of the "dorm" building do in fact get dark at night. The staff is very easy to work with, though, and would happily switch the room if there was significant problems with it.

The pool was a bliss, my room was totally fine, and the bathrooms were clean. What else can you want for this price ? If you are a single traveller like me - the price for the dorm is the same like your own room, take your own room...trust me - much better !

The breakfast was the worst i even experienced in any hotel anywhere in the world. Total disgrace, cannot be eaten. So do yourself a favor - dont pay extra for breakfast like i did. Just walk out the entrance, turn to your left and walk to the next nice coffe shop.

We loved our room upstairs, and showers in the upstairs were very clean and modern, great value. Lovely grounds, nice modern and comfortable rooms. Lovely clean pool. Breakfast included for our room. Situated close to city centre (20 mins walk into centre or 5 mins by moped).

Lots of Mosquitoes in downstairs shower area but not huge issue as was able to use the upstairs ones.

My favorit hotel through more than 10 years. Quiltet place, lovely garden, great pool and always helping staff. Not many people at the hotel due to distance to city. But it only takes 15 minutes of walk (and you walk around the city all day anyway). If hotel had bus to town and back e.g. every second hour I am sure hotel would be fully booked soon. Pia, Denmark

Its a tranquil large resort but priced for hostellers smelling of jasmine as you stroll past a full length lap pool to your room Feels like country but a short 5 km grab ride to old town good dinner restaurant adjacent and ok breakfast and considerate chill guests of all ages

Tepid coffee and fried eggs not a deal breaker

I loved every minute of my stay. This place is fantastic, lots of greenery, nice clean rooms, fantastic swiming pool, lots of nice restaurants and a 7-Eleven in the area. Staff is a bit shy but very polite and nice. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for peace, relaxation and tranquility to stay in this resort.

Loved everything, wish there was a water filter. But not a huge problem, there is one on the way to 7-Eleven.
