Every part of the hotel was of a high standard. Obviously there are little issue that some may concern themselves with. I was highly impressed by Ung, the front desk person, who went to a lot of trouble to ensure my stay went smoothly. I also must include the breakfast staff, Nong Yao and her cooks. They must have thought I was under feed and keep the meal coming. They also helped and Old Man (me) to learn new technology in using "Grab" for transport and ensuring I knew where to go in search of my gift requirements. Always greeted on my return and gave studied evaluation of my gift to take home. It was more like a family situation for me, including the foyer dog, who also became a friend (I had snacks) I nearly forgot. There is a local "shop" about 200 m down the lane way. Lovely people and sold Beer (during allowed hours) at a more than reasonable price

The smallest downside was the location. It is away from the major attraction, though the quiet, low traffic and the use of "Grab" made this, not worth a mention.

It is beautiful and the whole staff is so kind. The breakfast is terrific. I sat for hours each morning and had a bit of fruit some coffee and whatever the local specialty was. Gau, the cook in the morning, was so kind to me. She made me feel like I had family there. The pool is also a huge plus. I took a dip on hot afternoons.

It is way to far from everywhere I wanted to be. You can take a Grab, but it is far and it’s an hour walk to the old city. There is also extremely slow WiFi which made everything hard. The ‘hot’ water takes 10 or so minutes to reach the shower. The room had NO window. Definitely clarify if that would be an issue for you. I hate to say negative things because it really is a lovely home away from home, but the challenges were substantial.

Extremely cosy and quiet and very picturesque. Very lovely and helpful staff, proving taxis into town and a laundry service for travellers such as ourselves. I think the location was very good, see a lot of people moaning about the distance from town, but you book this place knowing you’re out of town, so what did you expect? It’s roughly a 80/90 baht trip for 2 people in a car and only takes 15 minutes.

Hotel defiantly use some TLC but once again knew this when booking and it wasn’t a problem. Swimming pool is very shaded and extremely cold, more like a cold plunge then a nice relaxing pool. Breakfast is pretty rubbish but not terrible, had eggs on a hot plate but without the hot plate on, so the eggs were freezing cold.

Helpful and friendly stuff. Our family room was spacious and we had two bathrooms which was nice. Decent breakfast selection. Kids liked the pool a lot. Some restaurants in walking distance if you are into an authentic experience. If you are looking for an upscale, everything as per some European or US standards, this is not your place. Warm water takes some time, the towels won’t shine brightly white but are clean and changed every day, stuff like that. We had a good time, enjoyed the city, took a tour with local students and drive around with a rental car, e.g. day trip to Chiang Rai (highly recommended)

Watching the recent Chiang Mai floods prior to departure we were concerned that our chosen hotel would be affected and yes it was. However, the hotel team had managed to get the property cleaned and re-opened in record time. The staff were all fantastic, welcoming and always helpful. The breakfast buffet was brilliant. The beds (in our room) were large and comfortable...

Wifi and hot water need work but we understand that both were bouncing back from the recent flooding. It is Thailand and you must roll with the flow. The property location my not be to everyones liking but we had a car so were not unduly concerned.

The staff were wonderful- helpful and kind in every way. The room (second one) was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The location is really near the station so great for an early morning train.

(No fault of the staff). The facilities are dated and many need attention. E.g our AC was dripping copiously so we had to change rooms, in the second room, the door wouldn't unlock due to a design fault. The decor has so much potential - lovely wall hangings and art, solid wooden furniture, but needed freshening up and locks mending. Sockets often didn't function nor did the phone in the room. The swimming pool and sunbeds were tired and rickety.

Let me just say this is the BEST place to stay when you are in Chiang Mai!!! The rooms and lounging areas were so beautiful.....it really did feel like we were staying in the rainforest! The open air bathtub was amazing, the place was clean, the AC felt so good and the kids played in the pool everyday. The pool temperature was so refreshing too! Our favorite part of our stay there was meeting some of the best hotel staff in the world.......Eddy who made our breakfast experience wonderful, recommending fun things to do and taught us some of the Thai language. Ice who created a beautiful buffet, cut up fruit we bought at the market and was always so kind and Duang also so kind and sweet made the best pancakes, eggs, and fried potatoes ever! JJ and Ung at the front desk who went out of their way to arrange transportation and suggestions of what to do. They even helped me rent a moped and had it delivered to the hotel. One night we ordered McDonald's delivery for the kids but because of the rain McDonald's wasn't able to find a driver. So what did Ung do? She opened the restaurant kitchen and made some pasta, bread and a salad!!!! She is so wonderful! She also took us on a tour of the place and let us choose our room after seeing several different rooms. We all cried during our goodbyes to them!! For the cost, the staff, the food, the ambiance you can't find a better deal!!

Typical Thai hotel. Very peaceful especially to dine out in the evening in the canopied roof restaurant. So quiet and still and lovely. The receptionist Ung excelled in every way possible and she made my stay so very comfortable. She organised my many tours and taxis. The breakfast was lovely and the host she made everyone welcome to eat. Again…..THANK YOU UNG!!!❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙋‍♂️🙋‍♂️🙋‍♂️

A little bit way out of central town but only a 20 minute walk away from hotel to market square area.

Staff were great. Always willing to help when asked about getting about the area, places to see etc. The breakfast buffet offered a great selection of Thai and Western dishes. The chef and kitchen staff always chatted to guests making us feel very welcome. This hotel is not in the centre of town - it is near the train station so you do need to use public transport but hotel reception are very helpful organising transport if you don’t have the GRAB app.

We have travelled for a month in Asia so far and this has been the best hotel we have experienced! The breakfast was fresh and tasty every morning. The staff always greeted us with a smile and hello. The hotel, amenities and swimming pool were perfect. Our room was comfy, clean and had everything we needed. The location was further out from the centre but we didn’t mind this as we got good sleep every night as the area was so peaceful. Such an amazing stay and would recommend to anyone!

The shower fitting could do with an upgrade to a waterfall shower head but that’s just my preference. Otherwise everything was amazing!!
