Pimann exceeded my expectations massively, given the price. I always ate at the street vendors on the main street leading into Chiang Rai - some were amazing; as I found the breakfast not very good. If you like great espresso, there is the best coffee in Australia or New Zealand a 5 min walk away at 22grams. The hotel is amazing value, particularly if you want a place near the centre of Chiang Rai with a pool and great gym (ie actual machines, and free weights, not just fitness machines.

Be aware that the interior of the units and the Gym and Pool changing area could all really do with the lick of paint. It's very aged. But the pool was crystal clear and quiet, and the gym is as good as the reviews say it is.

Staff are so lovely!! Pool & gym are great. Room is just how it looks in the photos & very clean. A lot of reviews mention the location but we love to walk so we walked the half hour into the main area. Grab taxi is only about 70 baht. There are also good restaurants within a 10 minute walk :)

AC did leak after 20 minutes of turning it on. But we just had it on in small time periods Breakfast is great but other than toast there are not hot food vegetarian options everyday unless you want to pay extra for an omelette

Breakfast was only Thai breakfast would prefer European

We moved to Pimann whilst in the city as it was such good value for money if you’re looking to keep up some fitness / make use of a pool. We were offered free upgrades for our room so the facilities were excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful with sorting out any issues. The room was cleaned daily and the gym, sauna and swimming pool were in fantastic condition.

The location was a little further out of the way, not an issue but just a heads up. We didn’t mind as we enjoyed walking into town each day and there are lots of little local stalls, plus a 7 11 around the corner.

Very easy check-in - Reception also provide daily voucher for pool/gym and next morning breakfast. Large room with balcony, fridge, desk, safe - lovely bathroom with huge shower (including overhead) Big pool with sun loungers. Excellent gym. Free for residents and open 08.00-22.00!! Half hour walk to town centre. Great bar restaurant next door with live music.

Rock hard bed! Breakfast only had 1 vegetarian Thai dish, plus toast. No milk only coffee creamer. Stagnant water by pool and below my balcony smelled bad.

The guy at front desk was awesome. All the staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was good. Pool was fantastic, had it to ourselves🙂. Room was clean and the bathroom had a great shower head...best shower so far in Asia! We were in the back area, but could see if you were close to the front that the street noise would be bad. It was great value for money

We had a very warm welcome from the girls in reception. Our room had a little balcony which we enjoyed and the pool and sauna were fabulous after we came back from visiting Local places. It was also an easy walk in to town for food in the evenings. Breakfast was very Thai, but we enjoyed it.

I liked everything about my stay here. Staff on whole are welcoming people who will always have a smile. The facilities provided are excellent, the pool is fantastic for a cool down, very large pool so adequate space to enjoy pool, gym equipment are updated and clean, breakfast area is great. The room that I am in was recently renovated with a clean and comfortable room. Located next to Chiang Rai old airport strip, so good area for walking or running along runway. It is such a great place. I stayed an extra 4 days. Its location is great for those who are looking for peaceful and relaxing accommodation.

There is nothing I can say about what I didn't like as bias as that might sound, but it is true .

Good place to stay for few days

Gym equipment are little old , pool does not have lines or ropes on top to help swimmers locate their position. Outsiders who does not stay in the hotel, can buy entries to pool and gym which normally populate the pool with kids and other outsider's for the hotel guest's. The toilet was little slow to flush and sometimes getting clogged.Had to call them to help .

The pool was very nice, it was affordable, the area was quiet and some of the staff were very friendly.

Nice place, it was a bit of a gamble if you got a helpful staff member or not but some were really helpful. The balcony door was not sealed properly so we had to tape it closed to avoid mosquitoes in. The breakfast was not adequate.
