I honestly can’t say enough good things about my stay and the hosts. This ended up being my best experience in Thailand - which is funny, because it was also my most affordable one. From the very beginning, the staff were attentive and took care of every single request I had. They handled my laundry quickly and at a very fair price, and kept my room clean throughout my entire stay. Any time I had a question about the city, whether it was where to get clothing repaired, find a pedicure spa, or just where to eat, they always gave me great recommendations. I enjoyed the experience so much that I even extended my stay and stayed twice as long as I originally planned. I’ll absolutely come back if I’m ever in the area again!

Joy, the who runs the guesthouse, was incredible. She was so friendly and so eager to help us in every way - from giving us more soap bars to helping plan our day trips around Kanchanaburi. We were staying here at the same time as a man who had been coming to the guesthouse for 20+ years and now comes with his wife and daughter. They were a lovely family and really reflected the welcoming vibe of the guesthouse. Also, the location is perfect - 2 minutes from the bus station and so close to the night market but not too close that you hear the noise! We both really loved it so much we stayed an extra night! Can’t recommend Canaan Guesthouse enough!

Can’t think of anything! If you need a luxurious room and bathroom then maybe it’s not the place for you however we were perfectly happy!

The property is in a perfect position, really close to the bus station. The room that we had was tiny, but it was enough for us, they also gave us the opportunity to have a bigger one but we didn’t need it. The best thing about the place were the two owners working there, they were both extremely welcoming and available to help us with anything we needed. The laundry service was excellent and they gave us their scooter for a really good price.

Of course the property is for easygoing people, who don’t have the highest standards of comfort and service. It’s not an hotel, basically. But we enjoyed our 5 days there anyway😊

Kind staff, always available for anything we asked for (like using their fridge to store some fruit). There's free coffee and tea always available. The location is great because it is very peaceful and still you can walk to many of the attractions and night food market.

I just would like to suggest the owner the following to make their business better: A small fridge for guests to use, better towels, hangers on the wall in the rooms, maybe use some incense against the mosquitos. Those are things that make a stay overall better. If choosing the room with fan, be aware that it can be very hot.

The bed was large and they included everything you could need for toiletries. We were about to use the tea kettle to make tea we have purchased through our travels which was nice. The AC and fan combo are great too because sometimes you want one over the other. The hot water works well and the room was quite clean. The laundry service was cheap and very convenient.

The room was a little small so it could be hard to maneuver with 2 people and our backpacks, but it had everything we needed! The response time of the staff took a while through the booking app. We asked for toilet paper at 9 pm on our last night as we had not seen we were running out until then, but never got a response to that or our previous message asking for a recommendation. Maybe having WhatsApp instead and listed on your booking page would be helpful

The guesthouse it located very well, just around the corner from Kanchanaburi bus station, but on a quiet, peaceful back road. Bike and moped hire made travelling around the city very easy and fun. Bike hire for a very reasonable 50 THB for the whole day. The host could not have been any nicer. She was very helpful working out where to go, what to do I.e. she helped us plan our trip to Erawan National Park, and out onward trip to Auytthaya via Saphan Buri. She told us exactly what busses to take, where to find them, what time and the prices. She also offered cheap and tasty breakfast and lunch that we could order at any time that suited us.

We found our bed was a little bit hard for our liking, but this is, of course, personal preference. We made some friends during our stay who said that their bed was super soft, so maybe something worth considering when filling out any special requests :). This is just advice, and would not deter us from booking again at this lovely guest house.

Joy and her sister are so sweet! They took so good care of me! Everything was so great. I had a great time. Breakfast for the low price very good. Room was very good, fine airco also. If you want to see something than you can rent a bicycle or motorbike. Please be carefull when you get a link on Booking.com when they ask you to pay. That is scam! Joy warned me for that! You DONT need to pay before you are in the Canaan Guesthouse. If I am again in Kanchanaburi then I am sure that I go again to Canaan Guesthouse.

Very quiet, near the bus station, trikes available to visit places in town, the owner is very helpful, I would stay again but I would bring a proper towel.

Towels are useless, need to stand under a/c unit to dry after showering, Toilet seat needs deep clean or replacement, bathroom needs cleaning above eye level. Only had 1 single socket, no good for 2 people. No

This is a clean, comfortable and relaxing place to stay. It has a real homely feel to it. The owners have added a lovely personal touch to it with plants and decoration around the sitting area. It's in a residential part of the town so you'll get a sense of Thai life as it is rather than in a non-descript hotel. It's also just 5 minutes walk from the bus terminal so it's very well located. The train station is a couple of kilometres away but you can get a tuk-tuk easily. There is a night market a couple of streets in front of the bus station where you can get all kinds of delicious food. The owners have lots of information about tours, can hire out bikes and will provide a good breakfast. I would stay there again without hesitation.
