We had the second-floor corner room and it was terrific. The room was big, showers and toilet were good and squeeky clean. Small but adequate fridge. View from side window, and nice balcony right outside. The host, Nikki, was very helpful in recommending places and repeatedly getting us transportation -- he's a gem, but customers should be sure to ask their questions early as he is not always present. Lots of Thai restaurants and a few cafes nearby.

It would have been nice to have a bedside table on each side of the bed, rather than just one side. The mattress was hard, as is typical in Thailand, but not the hardest we've encountered. There was no soap or shampoo in the very clean shower. There was music most nights emanating from a nearby bar and it lasted to 11pm to midnight-ish -- the music was good and varied but some might be turned off. We would recommend this property.

This is a very inviting place, in a great location near the railway station, main drag leading to the famous bridge, and Railway Museum, It has a really charming entrance area, with table and seats, and an upstairs public verandah for relaxing. The rooms are comfortable and large, but showing their age. The decor is old and a bit of an odd mixture. The bathrooms are functional but also showing their age. However, the value for money factor is really very good. There is a constant supply of water bottles. The setting is quiet, set back from the road, although there was some dog barking immediately outside the property on one night. The place is well managed, for sure.

I do recommend Thai Guesthouse: it is located in a brand new building where everything is so nicely fresh. The room and the bathroom was super big, you can also use a well-equipped kitchen and relax in a cozy living-room. Feels like home. My bed was very big and comfortable! Air-conditionning worked very well. I do appreciate contact with the owner of the guesthouse: he his a very kind and extremely helpful person. Was ready to answer all of my questions, recommended me a professional massage studio. He helped me to organise a beautiful tour and a transportation to a bus station. It is also possible to rent here a bicycle.

I'd prefer to have the trash bin in the bathroom emptied during my stay.

everything was superb. from the location, the cleanliness, and even the host was amazing. the host was more than glad to show you around and recommend places. he spoke great english! he even helped us call a motorbike taxi during our checkout day to get to the bus station. the place had a really cool and chill hangout spot upstairs. facilities and amenities were great as well, there were microwaves and free coffee, as well as washing machine at the back. very near to the night market, several weed shops, the train station and pretty much everything. there are bikes to rent making it easy for you to get by around. despite the location is in an alley, we, two female travellers, felt safe regardless. bonus: there's a cute puppy named Panda! again, overall, amazing. would definitely come back to see Panda again! <3 and would totally recommend the place to others

as usual in SEA countries, there were mosquitos (but being South East Asians, we were used to it.) we felt guilty for bothering the host late at night for mosquito spray, but he promptly placed a spray outside of our room. so so grateful for the help! haha. another thing to note is that the water pressure for the shower wasn't too good, and it would be really great if the host could fix that. but both of these problems weren't that huge for us, just thought others would appreciate things to note. overall a great stay.

The room is large, there is heaps of room to spread out your things and organise your bags. There is a good amount of hanging available which I always appreciate. The bathroom was large and there is a nice divider wall between the shower and the toilet so not everything gets wet. Air conditioning was modern and worked very well. Wifi from memory never gave me any troubles. The bed was comfortable and large, I got good sleep here. I liked the location next to the War Cemetery, Railway museum and not far from the centre.

Was unsure how to contact the host to checkout, not a major issue but I had to wait around a bit as I hadn't paid yet but I still got to my bus in time. It doesn't bother me but some people might not like the roosters in the morning making noise. Also didn't bother me but there is some music playing next door at nighttime, however I found it helped me sleep if anything as it was instrumental guitar (just noting it here as others might not enjoy).

this was the cheapest property i used during my stay in Thailand. It is well situated for the night market and some of the historical sights in Kanchanaburi are within walking distance although you will need a car for the Death railway and Erawan park. The air con in the room is good, as is the water pressure. It is basically a local style guesthouse which has its own style - think thai decorations and colour, with some quirky retro stuff in the communal areas.

Convenient guesthouse at a perfect location , very close to the train station and the night market. Also restaurants are nearby. We had two rooms on different floors, both were nice, well furnished and clean , including the private bathroom. The WiFi worked well. You need to remove your shoes to enter the building or room (depending on the floor). If I understood it correctly, there were no sheets for the blanket/cover.

Our stay at Thai Guesthouse exceeded our expectations! The room was huge, and so comfortable. It was clean, with a large bathroom, and had both aircon and a fan. The location was great, close to the station and the Main Street. The staff were really lovely! Highly recommend a stay here!

As with most guesthouses in the area, the bars from the Main Street can be heard a little at night, but this finished by midnight and wasn’t anything that earplugs didn’t block out!

Nicky was so good with good food recommendations, with corresponding and ordering a Tuk Tuk for us to the bus station 🥰 Very spacious and clean room, additional communal kitchen with our own room shelf in the fridge. Nicky’s brother owns the opposite guesthouse where you can get breakfast, unfortunately we didn’t get to use it as husband still unwell from Bangkok. Very friendly and helpful owner Nicki made our stay absolutely great. The room had everything one needs. Great location close to literally everything. CJ market around the corner, laundry service, restaurants etc close by. Bicycle hire and scooter hire was available. Would absolutely recommend this place for solo travellers, couples and families!
