The location was absolutely superb. It was off the main busy road so you cannot hear the traffic whatsoever. The cleaning from my experience was immaculate, and the maids/staff were so lovely and helpful. I really liked the design of the whole place, and all the wooden furniture was incredible! It was very unique.

Unfortunately the mattress was very hard. My Dad also found it difficult to sleep on them. The pillows were mediocre - they lacked filling so you'd need at least 2 to sleep on however they provide only 1 per person. Perhaps you could ask for more though. Also there is a cute dog that is missing a leg, but O.M.G. he/she barks so much throughout the night -_- take earplugs!

You can't beat the location. My bungalow was literally over the river . So peaceful and beautiful. They ordered us up a boat and it docked right in front of my room and we had a great multi hour tour up and down the river. The way to really see Kanchanaburi is from the river. It's really beautiful. I highly recommend this place and boat riding on the river. Good neighborhood around as well, lots of good places to eat, drink ,shop, and get massages. I have stayed here twice now and will come again. The room is comfy and has a remodeled bathroom. It's a little log cabin. Staff is great and speak great English.

I'm old and there are a lot of stairs to go down to the rooms. If you have mobility issues you can't go to the river rooms.They do have other rooms up top that are accessible. I can still get up and down the stairs for now. For me Kanchanaburi is all about sleeping right on the river. Didn't even need to turn on the AC to sleep in January.

Staff very friendly & helpful, booking taxis, trips & giving info. Nice room with outside area with table & chairs to sit at. Breakfast cooked to order. My friend was ill & they immediately supplied extra blanket as she was shivering. Easy access to local restaurants & death railway museum/cemetery. Right on edge of river - a lovely setting.

No kettle. Bathroom a little tired but given budget price it's a small thing. Room tight on space for 2 people with cases for more than 1 night. We had twin room.

Really lovely place, great little cabin. Lovely staff, nice breakfast. Tranquility on the river nature all around. Little street outside with bars restaurants massage shops street food taxis laundry all very convenient. A brilliant stay I would recommend it to anyone and would stay again.

Not the accommodations fault but there was a boat or club playing ridiculously loud music Friday and Saturday night I mean thumping base thank goodness not past midnight.

It was cute and all, a bit narrow road to get in but it's like a hidden town in there. So many valuable collections to see. There's always something to do in every part you go to. Overall my room was nice. The view was amazing. Recommended! The staff gave me medicine because i have a terrible headache. They went out to get one for me which was super nice of them. The hospitality is very nice.

Just one thing that i booked for the single bed but they tell me later that i'll be receiving double bed so it was a bit uncomfortable.

Good location near most places if interest. 711 and motirbike rental nearby. Quiet, surrounded by nature.

The bed pillows were so thin that it felt like we were sleeping in a perfectly horizontal position, therefore, not a very restful sleep. The sink was on the terrace outside, which made it difficult to use for brushing teeth or washing hands at night due to a multitude of mosquitoes. Expensive for what is provided.

We stayed in a pleasant wooden bungalow on the river. The room was a decent size, clean, and comfortable, and the balcony at the back was almost always in the shade which made it a pleasant place to sit even in the heat of the day. Unfortunately, loud noise from the river was a significant downpoint, but it was fine most days, except Saturday night.

The music from the riverside bars were so loud till the midnight and it was so hard to sleep. So sad because the location seemed so serene

We booked a room in one of the triangle bungalows. The room was small (not enough space for our yoga practice) but we liked the vibe here so we booked it again a few days later. The bed was comfortable with a soft pillow instead of the thick hard ones that gives us neckpain. We slept well! The bathroom was ok with a good shower. The AC worked well. The room and bathroom were both very clean. The host was friendly and helpful. We loved the sweet nice dogs. It's also a nice place to sit outside if you don't want to stay indoors. Location is really good close to restaurants and on walking distance of the River Kwai Bridge. Even though Sam's house is located in a busy street it was quiet at night. Recommended! 🌼

Really nice for Thai standards. You get what you pay for, I had a perfectly fine room for a perfectly reasonable price, my friend had a more luxurious room for a higher price. I don’t understand the people leaving negative reviews, it’s like they’ve never been to Thailand before.
