Hostess was extremely friendly. She was always happy to help you plan your day. Breakfast was simple but amazing, toast + eggs with 2 a 3 different types of fruit. We liked that you could choose your own portions, so u were always full without waste. The pool was clean and refreshing. The location was quiet with the compromise that you're a bit further from the centre. Hostess helped us book a scooter so we could get around more easily.

The room had a piece of paper within it that determined for what kind of stain, on what kind of object, how much you would be fined. I can understand getting fed up with tourists not respecting hotel property. But accidants can happen, and it's a bit uncomfortable to sleep on a bed, knowing that a spil could cost u up to 3000 baht.

Perfect Riverside Retreat in Kanchanaburi. Our three-night stay at Jim Guesthouse was everything we hoped for. Situated on the peaceful side of the river, the guesthouse offers a serene escape from the bustle of Kanchanaburi while still an easy 10 minute walk into town. The standout feature is the refreshing pool, which was a welcome sight each afternoon. However, what truly makes this place special is the warm hospitality. Jim treats guests like family, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Her thoughtful and caring approach made our stay so much better. She helped us with transportation and side excursions to Erawan, and restaurant recommendations too. The guesthouse's resident dog, Money, adds an extra touch of charm to the experience. Breakfast was consistently excellent, starting each day on a high note. Incredibly clean and comfortable room. The pool was a bonus at the end of a busy day. Above all Jim was so helpful. She speaks good English and was always available. We had a very early check out . She organised the tuktuk and she got up to see us off. We had dinner there on our last night and wished we’d eaten there more as the food was exceptional (we had the curry)- the best meal we had in Kanchanaburi.

Absolute perfection. Jim is an amazing person! Extremely helpful and generous. Always asks about your plans for the day and if you need any help, she's always there to ask. Every morning she asked us how we liked our eggs and she cooked them fresh for us. The pool is a nice touch and the room themselves were cozy and comfortable. There are a couple of extremely friendly cats that are adorable too. The location is good. Very short walk to the main strip of cafes and restaurants and 20ish min walk to River Kwai Bridge. Overall would 100% recommend.

Tv was a bit too high to plug in to use. As there is a kettle in the room cups and tea / coffee would add to our overall experience

This was a great find, as was the delightful Jim, the owner. She was super helpful, spoke great English, made delicious homemade breakfasts - she was a great host. The pool was a treat too, particularly in the 40 degrees April heat! She was very helpful organising taxis, making sure fair prices paid etc. also - 3 lovely cats and a puppy on the property too!

To be honest there wasn't much I didn't like!! I enjoyed the location on the other side of the river, really only a few minutes walk to the strio

This is a great place to stay in Kanchanaburi. Lovely place with peaceful garden and pool. It's close to everything and yet just outside of the noisy part so great for a good night's sleep. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Prepared to do anything to help and speaks good English.. Really enjoyed lots of tasty and fresh fruit at breakfast along with choice of eggs. Would thoroughly recommend this place. Really good value and everything was super clean. Also had great air conditioning.

Jim is an excellent host. She provides ideas for excursions, helps with organising transportation and so on. The guesthouse is located in a quiet neighbourhood, just 10 minutes walk to the main street. All required comfort is available in the bungalows.

A softer mattress would be highly appreciated.

Jim the owner, is so helpful and really chatty. After a bit of a travel to be greeted by a massive smile and just incredibly nice person was just amazing. As a solo traveler the room was 99.9% perfect. The pool was a surprise but a refreshing surprise. I love this lady, and she does bloody everything, not a clue where she gets the energy from, full respect to you Jim.

I had a great stay @ jims.the location is perfect jus a 10 minute walk to restaurants,bars, seven eleven.the chalet type accomadtion is spotless clean ,a great shower , comfortable bed,,out door seating. Jim is also a great host & you can arrange trios from here also.i would stay here again.
