Host was waiting on us when we arrived with the keys. The private pool in the backyard was wonderful. Plenty of room for our family of 5 in the apartment. Close walk to the beach and beachfront bar and restaurant. Host helped to arrange a taxi when we had to go into town for groceries and additional bedding and arranged for laundry service.

The only thing we didn't like was the lack of needed linens. There was no dishwasher yet no dish-drying towels are provided. Only heavy duvets are on the bed which were a bit warm for some members of my family. When we asked for a top sheet or empty duvet cover we were told it was not possible.

Beautiful swimming pool. Great location - perfect if you have a car. Well equipped kitchen. Great house for families with older children and dogs! Lots of close proximity restaurants with swimming pools. A great place to stay.

The house needs some attention regarding updating decoration (eg in the living room, there are holes in the wall where a curtain rail has been taken down but damage to walls not repaired).

Great silent location, specially vacation with kids. Awesome beach and many good restaurants. Exceeded our expectations

The price list for breakage was kind of scary, expensive! And I would suggest plastic drinking glasses, not nice, fragile ones. Fortunately, we brought our own PAPER plates, bowls, and cups, so that was not a problem!

Loved the pool! It was an amazing place to chill and the weather was perfect for swimming.

1. It’s to be noted that this is in a huge ‘community’ of sorts. Loved that it’s near the pier but it’s in an isolated area, which is quite a distance from the main road. We had no idea- which was on us- and had not brought any groceries. The place had scooter for hire so luckily, we managed to hire one and got a staff to take us to the nearest 7-11. 2. We were there during the ‘off season’ and the place wasn’t busy. Was it good? Not really cos not having many customers meant that the restaurants within the compound were either closed or had changed opening hours. We hired a private car to get us take us to the location but there were numerous villas and not a common reception. This essentially led to us being lost within the area. 3. Absolutely did not like the way the caretaker communicated with me. She made me pay a deposit of THB 3000, which was perfectly fine. We broke a glass and I told them before we checked out and had to pay THB100. I was okay with it and then she had someone with her who went around checking the place. They were adamant that there was a ‘missing plate’ and this accusation made me livid. I told her that I’d clearly disclosed the broken glass and paid for it but I was not going to pay for something that I did not break. This system should have been made clearer so I could have checked all the utensils and appliances before we stayed there.

The first villa we were given stank throughout due to the previous guests who had been consuming large quantaties of pungent cigarettes and Indian food. The apologetic staff moved us to another villa the next day.

The accommodation was totally overpriced and far from town.

The park and the beach are nice, but this is not a beach villa as the name suggests. It is 3 blocks from the beach. Be aware that two of the bedrooms are outside the house, up an outdoor flight of stairs. One has a toilet the other not. If you travel with kids it is not very nice, as you cannot watch them and at night you cannot lock your door if you want the kids to come and see you if they have a problem. If it rains it is even worse.

The front half of the house is dislodged with cracks over the whole sides and front. It seems that this causes a lot of problems. The house is damp and smells of fungus/mouldy. The front door can hardly be opened and closed as the whole thing is dislodged. There is also no warm water, ants in the cracks of the house trying to get in, holes in the wall from a curtain rail that has fallen down due to damp, kitchen is falling apart. The beds have such cheap mattresses that you can feel every spring poking in your back. When you get the key they make you sign a form with 3000 baht penalty of you wear shoes or don't do the washing up, even though you are paying a lot for the house already. They also provide you with a list of every chair, table fork, cup etc and a price behind it, just in case you break anything. It would take you hours to check if everything is complete, so you just have to pray you don't get fined for something. We stayed in a few other houses in Blue haven bay and this one is the worst.
